The third of Universal's three serials headlining the Dead End Kids and Little Tough Guys (preceded by "Junior G-Men" and "Sea Raiders") is the 55th of Universal's sound-era serials (followed "Gang Busters" and ahead of "Overland Mail") and is the last 12-chapter serial (despite some source that lists it as 13 chapters) released by Universal; "Overland Mail" had 15 episodes while the remaining 13 serials released by Universal Pictures (none of which were ever distributed to theaters by MCA/Universal which didn't exist in the years that Universal produced serials) were all 13 episodes. This one finds the gang, Billy "Ace" Holden, "Bolts" Larson, "Stick" Munsey and "Greaseball" Plunkett working in an airplane/auto junk yard owned by Ace's father. Their truck is stolen by members of a fifth column organization, the Order of the Black Dragonfly, but when government agent Don Ames returns the recovered truck, Ace, who distrusts law men, refuses to give Ames a description of the men who stole the truck. Ames decides to let Jerry Markham, young leader of the Junior G-Men, who knows both Ace and his brother Eddie through their mutual interest in airplanes and flying, try to gain Ace's cooperation. The Axis agents, Araka, Augar, Beal, Monk and Comora, report to the Japanese leader of the Black Dragonfly, The Baron, at his farmhouse headquarters outside the city. In an attempt to track down the spies, Ace and his friends drive their truck near the farm and are spotted by the enemy agents. Monk, the gang's pilot, tries to bomb the truck and the boys appear doomed. But not so with many chapters still remaining in this 12-chapter-only serial.

There are endless ways in which one can prepare a delicious gobi paratha, that you can have for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Check out Ruchi's take on it. Ingredients: 1/2 cup cauliflower (grated) 2 green chillies (finely chopped) 1/4 amchoor powder Salt Pinch of turmeric 3/4 cup wheat flour 1 tbsp oil 1/2 capsicum (finely chopped) coriander leaves 1/4 tsp coriander & cumin seed powder 1/4 tsp garam masala 1 tsp oil 1/2 tsp salt Method: To make the filling: - Heat oil in a pan. - Add the finely chopped capsicum and saute it for few seconds. - Add finely grated cauliflower, finely chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and aamchur powder and saute these ingredients. - Turn off the flame and let the filling cool down. - Add the chopped coriander leaves and salt to the filling and mix well. To make the dough: - In a bowl, add the wheat flour, oil, salt and water and knead a dough. Let the dough rest for about 10-15 minutes. To make the parathas: - Dust the work surface with wheat flour, take a small ball out of the dough, coat it with dry wheat flour and roll it into a thick, round roti. - Place about 2 tsp. of the filling at the centre of the roti, fold it in a semi circle and press it on the sides. Using a sharp edged bowl, cut off the excess dough. - Coat the filled dough with wheat flour and roll it in a round shape again. - Dry roast the paratha on one side for a few seconds and then flip it over. - Apply ghee on the roasted side, flip it over and again, apply ghee on the other side. - Cook until you get the brown spots on the paratha. - Serve hot with curd and butter. Of the 3 million people that call Mongolia home, nearly half live in UB, making it the cultural, financial and industrial center of Mongolia, so it’s no surprise that this city is the first stop for most foreign visitors. In our case, we entered the country from China after a 48 hour marathon of bus and train travel that started from Beijing, so as soon as we arrived, the ONLY thing we could think about was to getting to the nearest hostel to sleep. So we did. For 2 days. Leaving UB: Once we got our strength up we did some research and found that our hostel was offering a tour of the gobi desert as well as other parts of central Mongolia; a journey that would take 16 days; we’d decided to go with 6 other travelers that we’d met a couple of days beforehand, but with only one day to prepare and zero winter clothes, we desperately needed to gear up... Market: “Naran Tuul zach (зах or Khar Zakh)” is a sprawling flea market where you can find wall clocks, linoleum flooring and just about anything else. The market has gained a bad reputation among locals and foreigners alike for being a pickpocket’s haven, so with such a rough exterior and shady nickname like “black market”, we figured we’d be able to bargain our way into some amazing deal, but we soon discovered that this wasn’t the case... Lunch: Because Mongolian culture is based on livestock farming, the traditional diet consists of meat, flour and dairy with mutton being the meat of choice. Mongolian winters are extremely harsh so a lot of animal fat is consumed during winter and more dairy products during the summer. Closing: What… a… day. It was a long journey, but the scenery was stunning and the Mongolian countryside made quite the first impression on us. But this was only just the beginning and we couldn’t wait to see what the next 15 days would bring...
