Multi-platinum record producer Ron Nevison, throughout his career, has operated much like a surgeon, brought in during a critical point in a band's career to bring them back to the top from the commercial brink. Whether kick-starting a stalled hit maker like Jefferson Airplane back into flight as Jefferson Starship, or breathing fresh air back into an outdated band's sound- such as was the case with Heart and Chicago, via seminal 1980s Billboard # 1 ballads like "These Dreams" and "Look Away", respectively, Ron has rarely had a patient- metaphorically speaking- that he could not heal with his multi-platinum production touch.

Critics first took note of Ron's exceptional ear far ahead of many of his pop-rock peers, with one prominent example of the latter being Rolling Stone Magazine's observation in their 1973 review of The Who's Quadrophenia, which he engineered, that the album had been "magnificently recorded." Nevison's profile continued to rise through the mid-1970s as he helped to sonically shape a new generation of AOR rock via his engineering work on the first 3 Bad Company's LPs, Thin Lizzy, and perhaps most notably on Led Zeppelin's 1975 Physical Graffiti LP among a host of others. In addition to the aforementioned radio re-invention of Jefferson Starship via late 70s and early 80s hits like "Jane", Ron's transition into head producer for groups like The Babys, Traffic's Dave Mason (which produced the hit single "We Just Disagree"), UFO, and Eddie Money cemented his status as one of the industry's most in-demand hit record producers.

Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara (Gujarati: ફારોખ બલ્સારા‌), 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was a British musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Queen. As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. As a songwriter, Mercury composed many hits for Queen, including "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "We Are the Champions". In addition to his work with Queen, he led a solo career, and also occasionally served as a producer and guest musician (piano or vocals) for other artists. He died of bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS on 24 November 1991, only one day after publicly acknowledging he had the disease.

Mercury was a Parsi born in Zanzibar and grew up there and in India until his mid-teens. He has been referred to as "Britain's first Asian rock star". In 2002, Mercury was placed at number 58 in the BBC's poll of the 100 Greatest Britons, in 2006, Time Asia named him one of the most influential Asian heroes of the past 60 years, and he continues to be voted one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music. In 2005, a poll organised by Blender and MTV2 saw Mercury voted the greatest male singer of all time. In 2008, Rolling Stone editors ranked him number 18 on their list of the 100 greatest singers of all time. In 2009, a Classic Rock poll saw him voted the greatest rock singer of all time.Allmusic has characterised Mercury as "one of rock's greatest all-time entertainers", who possessed "one of the greatest voices in all of music".

Mike Finnigan (born 1945) is an American keyboard player and vocalist, his specialty being the Hammond Organ.

Finnigan has toured and sessioned for the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Sam Moore, Crosby Stills and Nash, Dave Mason, Buddy Guy, Manhattan Transfer, Taj Mahal, Michael McDonald, Maria Muldaur, Peter Frampton, Cher, Ringo Starr, Leonard Cohen, Tower of Power, Rod Stewart, David Coverdale, Tracy Chapman, Los Lonely Boys, Bonnie Raitt and Destruments. His recording with the group Finnigan & Wood entitled "Crazed Hipsters" is considered a midwest R&B/Rock cult classic. He recorded two solo records in the 70's, one notably with legendary rhythm and blues producer Jerry Wexler. He later collaborated with two other Columbia Artists, Les Dudek and Jim Krueger, with whom he formed DFK (Dudek, Finnegan, and Krueger) in 1978. Finnigan is also considered by many such as Jerry Wexler, Mavis Staples, Etta James, Stephen Stills. John Porter, Stephen "Doc" Kupka and Tom Wilson as one of most soulful vocalists ever.^{[citation needed]} More recently, his work featured on the CD by The Finnigan Brothers (NashFilms Records), a collaboration with his younger brother Sean and founding member of Bread, Robb Royer.
