“The First Man to Jump the Channel” premiered on the 21 December 1969. From Series 1, Episode 10 of "Monty Pythons Flying Circus", Terry Jones plays the over ambitious Ron Obvious, who undertakes several impossible tasks for charity under the guidance of his unscrupulous manager Luigi Vercotti (Michael Palin). Jumping the English Channel, eating Chichester Cathedral and splitting a railway carriage with his nose are just a few of the impossible tasks Ron Obvious naively tries to complete in to get some publicity.

The "Kilimanjaro Expedition" sketch premiered on 14 December 1969 as part of Series 1, Episode 9 of "Monty Python's Flying Circus" - "The Ant, an introduction". It features Eric Idle, as Arthur Wilson a young mountaineer, John Cleese as Sir George Head who is leading an expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro and Graham Chapman as their guide, who physically acts out the route for the expedition in Head's office.

"Exploding Penguin on the TV Set" features John Cleese and Graham Chapman as 'Pepperpots' listening to Radio 4’s new drama series, “The Death of Mary Queen of Scots”, in their living room, at the end of which their radio explodes. On seeking alternative entertainment, they turn to see what is on their TV, on top of which is a penguin. A farcical conversation ensues about Penguins - where they come from, how they are labelled, what happens when it lays an egg. The conersation ends with the TV presenter (Terry Jones) announcing that it's time for the penguin on top of the television set to explode. This sketch, from "Monty Python's Flying Circus", premiered on 24 November 1970 in Series 2, Episode 9. The sketch was also featured in the 2014 reunion shows, "Monty Python Live (moslty) - One Down Five to Go", with John and Terry Jones as "Pepperpots".

"Self Defence Against Fresh Fruit" is about an RSM-type instructor (John Cleese) who is teaching a class about self-defence, but all he teaches is how to defend oneself against an assailant "armed" with a piece of fresh fruit. The sketch first appeared in "Monty Python's Flying Circus" Series 1, Episode 4 - "Owl Stretching Time" - which premiered on 26 October 1969. The first part of the sketch was also remade for the Pythons' first feature film "And Now For Something Completely Different", released in 1971.

Eric Praline (John Cleese) is a put-upon customer who seeks to obtain a licence for his pet halibut, Eric, although he has difficulty explaining to the clerk (Michael Palin) how all pets should be licensed.[2] The clerk repeatedly calls Praline a "loony", to which Praline angrily replies by naming famous people who kept odd pets. In response to the clerk's assurance that there is no such thing as (and no need for) a fish licence, Praline requests a statement to that fact signed by the Lord Mayor. The superhumanly tall Lord Mayor (Graham Chapman), with full regalia and entourage, enters the office and hands a thunderstuck Praline the signed statement. An announcer (also Cleese) reverently narrates the exchange, ending by saying that Praline has "gone spare".
The sketch was orignally featured in Episode 10 of Series 2 of 'Monty Python's Flying Circus' which first broadcast on 1 December 1970.

Monty Python (sometimes known as The Pythons) was a British surreal comedy group who created Monty Python's Flying Circus, a British television comedy sketch show that first aired on the BBC on 5 October 1969. Forty-five episodes were made over four series. The Python phenomenon developed from the television series into something larger in scope and impact, spawning touring stage shows, films, numerous albums, several books and a stage musical as well as launching the members to individual stardom. The group's influence on comedy has been compared to The Beatles' influence on music.
The television series, broadcast by the BBC from 1969 to 1974, was conceived, written and performed by members Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin. Loosely structured as a sketch show, but with an innovative stream-of-consciousness approach (aided by Gilliam's animation), it pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable in style and content. A self-contained comedy team responsible for both writing and performing their work, the Pythons' creative control allowed them to experiment with form and content, discarding rules of television comedy. Their influence on British comedy has been apparent for years, while in North America it has coloured the work of cult performers from the early editions of Saturday Night Live through to more recent absurdist trends in television comedy. "Pythonesque" has entered the English lexicon as a result.

"The Man" is a slang phrase that may refer to the government or to some other authority in a position of power. In addition to this derogatory connotation, it may also serve as a term of respect and praise.
The phrase "the Man is keeping me down" is commonly used to describe oppression. The phrase "stick it to the Man" encourages resistance to authority, and essentially means "fight back" or "resist", either openly or via sabotage.
The earliest recorded use[citation needed] of the term "the Man" in the American sense dates back to a letter written by a young Alexander Hamilton in September 1772, when he was 15. In a letter to his father James Hamilton, published in the Royal Dutch-American Gazette, he described the response of the Dutch governor of St. Croix to a hurricane that raked that island on August 31, 1772. "Our General has issued several very salutary and humane regulations and both in his publick and private measures, has shewn himself the Man." [dubious – discuss] In the Southern U.S. states, the phrase came to be applied to any man or any group in a position of authority, or to authority in the abstract. From about the 1950s the phrase was also an underworld code word for police, the warden of a prison or other law enforcement or penal authorities.

On seeking alternative entertainment, they turn to see what is on their TV, on top of which is a penguin. A farcical conversation ensues about Penguins - where they come from, how they are labelled, what happens when it lays an egg. The conersation ends with the TV presenter (Terry Jones) announcing that it's time for the penguin on top of the television set to explode. "Exploding Penguin on the TV Set" features John Cleese and Graham Chapman as 'Pepperpots' listening to Radio 4’s new drama series, “The Death of Mary Queen of Scots”, in their living room, at the end of which their radio explodes. On seeking alternative entertainment, they turn to see what is on their TV, on top of which is a penguin. A farcical conversation ensues about Penguins - where they come from, how they are labelled, what happens when it lays an egg. The conersation ends with the TV presenter (Terry Jones) announcing that it's time for the penguin on top of the television set to explode. This sketch, from "Monty Python's Flying Circus", premiered on 24 November 1970 in Series 2, Episode 9. Eric Praline (John Cleese) is a put-upon customer who seeks to obtain a licence for his pet halibut, Eric, although he has difficulty explaining to the clerk (Michael Palin) how all pets should be licensed.[2] The clerk repeatedly calls Praline a "loony", to which Praline angrily replies by naming famous people who kept odd pets. In response to the clerk's assurance that there is no such thing as (and no need for) a fish licence, Praline requests a statement to that fact signed by the Lord Mayor. The superhumanly tall Lord Mayor (Graham Chapman), with full regalia and entourage, enters the office and hands a thunderstuck Praline the signed statement. An announcer (also Cleese) reverently narrates the exchange, ending by saying that Praline has "gone spare".
The sketch was orignally featured in Episode 10 of Series 2 of 'Monty Python's Flying Circus' which first broadcast on 1 December 1970.

Hey, sorry about that, I saw a comment that said this video was choppy, I checked it out and turns out it is. The problem was that the video was actually 12 minutes long, but it somehow only showed 8 : 40 minutes, so that's why it was skipping. So I took the episode and split it into 2 (a and b) so it shoudn't skip now!
By the way, for people who actually subscribed and are reading this (thanks), I won't be uploading episodes for around 2 weeks, sorry.
