Shaylin Horner Raquel Vega ENC1102 T,R 11:15 Norman Bates Jr Norman Bates was born on Friday the 13th of October in 1955. On that day, his father gave him a toy clown that he grew up to love so much. While growing up, his father was never around. His mom was always there for him until she was suddenly murdered in 1962. It was so sudden; nobody knew how it happened until 1 year later his father was arrested for murdering his wife back in 1962 and many other murders he committed. His father was a clown serial killer. He dressed up in a suit and wore a mask. The only thing he had was his toy clown and the foster home he was sent to. All the kids at the home never spoke to Norman, they all said he was funny looking and always made fun of him. He was always bullied all throughout school and the foster care. By the time he turned 18, he was on his own. He admired his clown so much; he decided to become a clown for a circus. Norman went around looking and applying but pretty much was denied by every single circus. He tried for weeks, but nothing. It made him furious. The foster care people were forcing him to find a job before they fully kicked him out. Norman then became a janitor at a high school. The first few days were ok for him, he didn’t really enjoy it. A week later is when it all started. Many of the teens who attended the high school Norman worked at began to bully him; they made fun of him just because of the way he looked. He always looked worn out and pale. There was this one student that approached him one day, started to call him names, push him around and threw things at him. At first, Norman ignored it, but after a few months, he had enough. Before going into work one Halloween morning, he decided to dress up as his favorite, a clown. He wanted to look just like his father. Just to scare the teen that always bothered, he brought a pocket knife to work. As he walked throughout the school, all the students were pointing and laughing at him. He began to cry in frustration, he didn’t understand why they were laughing, it was Halloween. As all the students went to class, Norman flew to the bathroom to hide. When he came out, there he was standing outside the stall waiting for him. The kid Norman’s been waiting for to scare. The kid punched Norman in the face, and Norman took out the knife. The kid backed up apologizing and said he was only playing a joke on him. Norman was tired of hit and stabbed the kid 16 times. Norman loved the adrenaline rush that rushed throughout his body. He loved the being in control over someone. He escaped from the school and began to do what his father love, murdering people. Norman would break into people’s houses acting like a clown; he would scare kids all over town and kill anyone who interrupted him trying to put on a show for the kids. His name was all over the news. Headlines titled the real life clown. Beware signs of Norman everywhere, but no one would ever be able to find him. Norman was great at hiding. He was able to build a mini basement under the school without anyone knowing. He hid all his evidence inside his spooky home.
