There are few things in existence more fascinating than the human mind. In fact, apart from the depths of space, it is probably one of the least understood objects in the universe. That is not to say, however, that we haven’t learned a lot about it. We know enough that psychologists can even make predictions about your behavior based on certain “rules” that more or less hold true. So, although you may be one of the those counter cultural break-the-mold types we are still willing to bet that the following 25 things psychology tells you about yourself would make for a pretty good biography.

How To Analyze People On Sight - FULL Audio Book - by Elsie Lincoln Benedict & Ralph Pain Benedict - Human Analysis, Psychology, Body Language - In this popular American book from the 1920s, "self-help" author Elsie Lincoln Benedict makes pseudo-scientific claims of Human Analysis, proposing that all humans fit into specific five sub-types. Supposedly based on evolutionary theory, it is claimed that distinctive traits can be foretold through analysis of outward appearance. While not considered to be a serious work by the scientific community, "How To Analyze People On Sight" makes for an entertaining read.

Disturbing footage of a psychopathic child cut from the 1990 documentary Child of Rage. Technically, the child is not officially a psychopath. She shows psychopathic tendencies, but this is due to her mistreatment at the hands of her parents. She actually suffers from an attachment disorder - a disorder that comes about when children such as Beth face abuse early in life.
After therapy and a great deal of love, she is now a perfectly healthy adult that works tirelessly to help others.
For those who want to learn more about the importance of love in a child's early years, I suggest that you take a look at Harlow's monkey experiments. Very similar.

It’s all based on the fact that most people don’t set their priorities for their day ahead of time, and end up focusing on what seems urgent right in front of them.
In this week’s video blog, I’m showing you how you can become top-of-mind to anyone, whether it’s your boss, your client, or the guy you’re hoping will ask you out for Saturday night…
Use this trick and you’ll get the result you want quicker than you ever have before…

We also explore the other side of the coin: when is inaction the highest form of action?
The transcript and downloadable versions of the lecture are available from the Gresham

This lecture explores decision avoidance in business. Why is costly inaction attractive? Why do individuals (and organisations) sometimes hesitate even though they know they probably have more to lose by not taking a risk? We also explore the other side of the coin: when is inaction the highest form of action?
The transcript and downloadable versions of the lecture are available from the Gresham College website: http://www.gresham.ac.uk/lectures-and-events/the-psychology-of-doing-nothing
Gresham College has been giving free public lectures since 1597. This tradition continues today with all of our five or so public lectures a week being made available for free download from our website. There are currently over 1,700 lectures free to access or download from the website.
