In an exclusive interview to NDTV, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal calls Bihar election verdict "a tamacha (slap) on the hate politics of the BJP and the RSS" and said if it doesn't stop "BJP will be finished". Though he denied he was thinking of a national anti-BJP coalition, Mr Kejriwal said, "If they (BJP) don't let chief ministers work and continue to obstruct them like they do in Delhi, then I feel many chief ministers will join hands in protest".

On Prime Time, a discussion on Rajnath Singh's reference to the original Preamble of the Constitution which was amended in 1976 to include the word 'secular'. We ask whether the BJP is using Dr Ambedkar's name to redefine secular? Also in question is whether the Centre is doing enough to prevent atrocities against the Dalits for whose rights, Dr Ambedkar had fought. (Audio in Hindi)

As the Bihar election enters the critical third phase, it has increasingly become a direct confrontation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Training his guns directly at the PM, Nitish Kumar accused him of not speaking directly or decisively on the lynching of a man in Uttar Pradesh's Dadri over beef rumours. Speaking to NDTV in Patna, Mr Kumar accused PM Modi of "speaking from behind a purdah" when it came to hate politics. He said that the country's image had been badly dented due to the "rising intolerance", but the Prime Minister was "hiding behind the President". This, the chief minister said, was "laughable". And with dal prices skyrocketing, Nitish Kumar took a swipe at PM Modi saying PM can keep 'acche din' to himself and give us back 'puraane din'.

The decision by the Karnataka government to commemorate the birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan has turned into a full-blown political controversy. The BJP is calling him a tyrant, the ruling Congress says he was a progressive and secular leader. The protests over Tipu Sultan Jayanti today turned violent with one person, a VHP worker, losing his life. On The Buck Stops Here, we ask: why is the debate around Tipu Sultan as volatile as it is? And when will our politicians stop appropriating historical figures in a reductionist narrative?

On this episode of We The People, we discuss the political response to the mob killing of a man in Uttar Pradesh's Dadri over rumors that his family had consumed beef. Why has administration not taken action against murderers? Instead, the meet was sent for testing. As Dadri remains tense, more politicians visit the family of Mohammad Akhlaq, while they appeal the incident should not be politicized. Will and should PM Modi speak out?
