Search gone I like this app, been using it for years. This new update took away the search function. I frequently use news searching, so I am pretty disappointed. I hope this was just an oversight and they bring searching back ASAP.

Love the articles but hate the size of the video boxes, i like to read the article. If i wanted video i would watch tv!

Graphics need to be zoomable. Need view in browser. You can pinch to enlarge text but the graphics can't be zoomed. Many links to external sites don't work. Need a way to view page in browser when it doesn't work in the app.

What about live streaming huff post live? The app is OK but I think it should have the option of live streaming.

I love the Huffington post but... I love the Huffington post but the app keeps sending me to my browser randomly.

Was a good news app Aside from all the advertising you would think the news sections would update more frequently. With all that is happening in the world more new news would be available. There is so much current news that never makes it Huffington Post. Good thing though is that the advertising gets updated regularly.
Poor Quality Content Presentation Good content, poor stability Crashes too often. Slideshows, video and other multimedia don't work reliably. Content from other sites doesn't fit in the app's constrained window. Frustrating app to use. Newer version still plagued with similar issues.
Terrible update Bandaid after bandaid yet things are still breaking! You"fix" one blatant issue only to break something else. I have to pick edition and turn off notifications EVERY SINGLE TIME I start the app. What's wrong with your devs? Actually, what's wrong with your QA/Testing team? Next time you try to fix things - do a full regression test. If you take the time to do the work properly, you may actually make Huff Post the kickass app it USED to be. Also, show the comments within the app. SO ANNOYING.
Update. The Android HP app is much more stable and configurable than the browser version. Don't care for the grid gallery though. Does not retain user topic settings. Just a mess of teaser pictures, junk, ads that are presented as news. Way too many links have no useful content or are just teasers encountering ads and join requests so bogus news sources links out rather than integrated links. Flip board has a much better presentation format. Switching to that.
A daily must have I have used this app for close to a year and enjoy the wide variety of news. They keep the articles fresh and to the point. As of 2015 I have dropped my rating to a 3 because when I go to open every single article I have to select an app to read it through. It's a discouraging new step that sometimes results in the article not even opening. My daily app has now become my sometimes app. (Galaxy S5)
Not satisfied I'm disappointed. I've updated this a million times. I wish I made note as to which version was my favorite and which one made it worse. One version: error messages as soon as the app was opened that caused it to close. The following version: the main story on the app didn't match what was on my computer. Old news would last more than one day. The current one: you have to use an Internet browser to read or post an opinion. Since then I notice less opinions posted.
Used to be great. Now it never loads I used to love this app/site but all it does now is crash. Not only does it never remember my favorite sections forcing me to reselect them every time, the app hasn't even loaded in days. Blank white screens are so much more fun than the news I actually wanted to read! The quality of writing has also really gone down hill as the site has grown. This is if you actually receive an article and not just a teaser headline and then a video. If I wanted video news I would not be in an app.
Not updating 10/20 update: Not fixed. Worse than ever. Keeps sending you back to the main page after 10 seconds of looking at a story. Fix it already. 9/29 update: Even worse. Stories crash back to menus in 10 seconds or less. Total crap app. Not updating stories or conversations well. Used to work fine. Recently broken. After an update to newer version, it's worse than ever. The look and layout is bad, the conversations are awful, and do not work near as well as the browser version. Accounts don't coordinate. They managed to break a really decent app.
A bit better, but.... I am glad to see my topic settings no longer reset everyday or so. I notice that some, but not all, images show up as triangular pixels. Would be nice if the images showed up. Again, ads hurt more than help you. Ads slow down page loading times and annoying get in the way when I'm reading an article. I've accidentally hit the dumb ads trying to scroll down... get rid of the ads..... they don't work!!!
Enough with the intrusive ads! Everytime I try to read a story, I get redirected to some advertiser's site. I don't even have to touch anything. It happens whenever I open the app. This is ridiculous! I get that you need ad revenue, but I won't use the app if I can't read the articles contained within it. I can get news from other sources that let me read the content and will actually load the stories instead of just hang endlessly.
Just horrible 10/21/15 Update: This sucks even worse. Now, won't even load. HTC One M8, Android 5.0.2. Your developers need remedial training. (Original review follows) Won't let you save sections you're interested in. Instead, every single time you open the app, you are stuck with HP's selection of sections for you. "Moments Not Milestones" is an example. Really HP? What does that even mean? App developer, you get an "F".
What have you done HP? The top story headline is confusing on your best news day and takes up way too much space, the UI is visually busy and uninteresting. The adverts are really overpowering. For Gods sake fix this so I can enjoy this app like I did almost a year ago before you paid someone to ruin it.
