Are you coming to Thailand or getting to know Thai people?
If, yes we made a fun video on some of the things you should know about Thailand and its culture :) Of course, this does not apply to every single Thai person but we think its pretty accurate!
1) You should always take your shoes off when you enter someone's home. This is because Thai people want to keep their houses clean!
2) The national anthem is played in public twice a day. The first time at 8AM and second is 6PM. Thai people will stop whatever they are doing to stand still to pay respect to the anthem.
3) Head (part of the body) is considered high in Thailand. People do not touch or play with each others' heads, especially if the other person is older. However, it is okay for older people to pat younger peoples' head to show their love and compassion :)
4) Thai people usually put ice in their drinks no matter what they are drinking. This makes a lot of sense because Thailand is a hot country! Averaging at around 30c according to tourismthailand.org! Next time try putting an ice cube in your beer. It is pretty good!
5) Thai people are not very good at punctuality lol. We are not very good at it, but we don't take it too seriously! This excludes formal meetings (ie. job interview). Thai people can be very punctual if they want to!
6) Thai people are so polite that they do not like to decline requests or invitations. So instead of rejecting a request right away, Thai people might say maybe but they may have already made their mind up :)
Travelling in Thailand is great fun! There is a lot of things to do in Thailand. Thai people are very nice and friendly towards foreigners!

Here are some more healthy weight loss life style tips from Durianrider & Freelee
Sleep, water, sugar sufficiency must be the daily focus.
Sun + sport must be the weekly focus.
Making the world a better place for humanity, the animals and the environment must be the life focus.
One MUST get consistent early nights to ensure success on a healthy weight loss lifestyle. More early nights means a healthier and faster metabolism + you will have greater nerve energy for the next day as your organs get the rest they need to function healthfully.
High carb low fat fruit based lifestyles work wonders for long term weight loss transformations. Ive NEVER seen a fat fruit or rice muncher EVER. People sneak in fat and wonder why they get fat.
Im talking FAT FAT not skinny fat cos someone doesnt move their body and they wonder why they dont have a tight stomach.Weight loss transformation WILL happen when you do the right things. High carb, low fat, early nights, consistent hydration etc.
Participate in your fav activities to build the toned body that you want. Do at LEAST 3 hours of light sweat inducing sport each week. Cycling, running, boxing, fast walking, wheel chairing etc. Its easy to lose weight but to build a toned body you MUST MOVE IT! :) AND eat enough carb calories so that the active adventure filled lifestyle is EASY to maintain!! So many people make the mistake of not eating enough carb calories DAILY!! Thats like wanting to be a big spender on 5$ a day! CHOW DOWN THE CARB CALORIES REGARDLESS OF YOUR WEIGHT!!
My recommendations for anyone wanting to get fit + stay fit + gain muscle + burn fat is 10g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per day MINIMUM (even on days off) and 1g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per hour when you're out training. I personally drink enough water so Im pizz'n at least 10 times a day CLEAR and a few times a night. If my urine is yellow or straw, I just knock back a quart and Im good to go. Keep your salt intake low. Healthy whole food plant foods contain all the sodium we need without creating the excess weight gain from sodium retention that added salt can bring.

The Thai people, or formerly Siamese, are the main ethnic group of Thailand and are part of the larger Tai ethnolinguistic peoples found in Thailand and adjacent countries in Southeast Asia as well as southern China. Their language is the Thai language, which is classified as part of the Tai–Kadai family of languages, and the majority of Thai are followers of Theravada Buddhism. The term Thai people may also refer to the population of Thailand in general, and not only to ethnic Thais. Today, "Thai people" usually includes Central and Southern Thai (Siamese proper), Northern Thai (Lanna) and Isan people (strictly speaking Western Lao).[citation needed]
There have been many theories proposing the origin of the Tai people, especially the association of the Tai people with the Kingdom of Nanzhao that has been proved to be invalid. Linguistic studies suggested that the origin of the Tai people lies around the Chinese Province of Guangxi, where the Zhuang people are still a majority. The ancient Tai people should be the part of Chinese Nanyue or "southern barbarians". The Qin dynasty founded Guangdong in 241 BC, initiating the successive waves of Chinese migrations from the north for hundred years to come.

Thailand's population is relatively homogeneous, however, this is changing due to immigration. Ethnic Thais make up the majority of the population with 75 percent of all inhabitants. Thai Chinese make up 14 percent with the remaining 11 percent made up of various other groups.
The language of the central Thai population is the educational language and administrative language. Several other small Tai groups include the Shan, Lue, and Phutai.
Malay and Yawi-speaking Muslim's language of the south comprise another significant minority group (2.3%). Other groups include the Khmer; the Mon, who are substantially assimilated with the Thai; and the Vietnamese. Smaller mountain-dwelling tribes, such as the Hmong and Mein, as well as the Karen, number about 788,024. Some 300,000 Hmong, who ironically have lived this area for more generations than the Thais themselves, are to receive citizenship by 2010.[citation needed]

Are you coming to Thailand or getting to know Thai people?
If, yes we made a fun video on some of the things you should know about Thailand and its culture :) Of course, this does not apply to every single Thai person but we think its pretty accurate!
1) You should always take your shoes off when you enter someone's home. This is because Thai people want to keep their houses clean!
2) The national anthem is played in public twice a day. The first time at 8AM and second is 6PM. Thai people will stop whatever they are doing to stand still to pay respect to the anthem.
3) Head (part of the body) is considered high in Thailand. People do not touch or play with each others' heads, especially if the other person is older. However, it is okay for older people to pat younger peoples' head to show their love and compassion :)
4) Thai people usually put ice in their drinks no matter what they are drinking. This makes a lot of sense because Thailand is a hot country! Averaging at around 30c according to tourismthailand.org! Next time try putting an ice cube in your beer. It is pretty good!
5) Thai people are not very good at punctuality lol. We are not very good at it, but we don't take it too seriously! This excludes formal meetings (ie. job interview). Thai people can be very punctual if they want to!
6) Thai people are so polite that they do not like to decline requests or invitations. So instead of rejecting a request right away, Thai people might say maybe but they may have already made their mind up :)
Travelling in Thailand is great fun! There is a lot of things to do in Thailand. Thai people are very nice and friendly towards foreigners!

One MUST get consistent early nights to ensure success on a healthy weight loss lifestyle. More early nights means a healthier and faster metabolism + you will have greater nerve energy for the next day as your organs get the rest they need to function healthfully.
High carb low fat fruit based lifestyles work wonders for long term weight loss transformations. Ive NEVER seen a fat fruit or rice muncher EVER. People sneak in fat and wonder why they get fat.
Im talking FAT FAT not skinny fat cos someone doesnt move their body and they wonder why they dont have a tight stomach.Weight loss transformation WILL happen when you do the right things. High carb, low fat, early nights, consistent hydration etc.
Participate in your fav activities to build the toned body that you want. Do at LEAST 3 hours of light sweat inducing sport each week. Cycling, running, boxing, fast walking, wheel chairing etc. Its easy to lose weight but to build a toned body you MUST MOVE IT! :) AND eat enough carb calories so that the active adventure filled lifestyle is EASY to maintain!! So many people make the mistake of not eating enough carb calories DAILY!! Thats like wanting to be a big spender on 5$ a day! CHOW DOWN THE CARB CALORIES REGARDLESS OF YOUR WEIGHT!!

One MUST get consistent early nights to ensure success on a healthy weight loss lifestyle. More early nights means a healthier and faster metabolism + you will have greater nerve energy for the next day as your organs get the rest they need to function healthfully.
High carb low fat fruit based lifestyles work wonders for long term weight loss transformations. Ive NEVER seen a fat fruit or rice muncher EVER. People sneak in fat and wonder why they get fat.
Im talking FAT FAT not skinny fat cos someone doesnt move their body and they wonder why they dont have a tight stomach.Weight loss transformation WILL happen when you do the right things. High carb, low fat, early nights, consistent hydration etc.
Participate in your fav activities to build the toned body that you want. Do at LEAST 3 hours of light sweat inducing sport each week. Cycling, running, boxing, fast walking, wheel chairing etc. Its easy to lose weight but to build a toned body you MUST MOVE IT! :) AND eat enough carb calories so that the active adventure filled lifestyle is EASY to maintain!! So many people make the mistake of not eating enough carb calories DAILY!! Thats like wanting to be a big spender on 5$ a day! CHOW DOWN THE CARB CALORIES REGARDLESS OF YOUR WEIGHT!!

LIVING IN THAILAND VS PHILIPPINES vv More Info Down Here vv
Having lived in Thailand for several years and now briefly visiting the Philippines for a few weeks. We discuss 'Living In Thailand Vs The Philippines', our Initial observations and thoughts on whether the Philippines would be a serious contender for our expat life in the future.
In this video we talk about the things that we have seen during our short trip to the Philippines and how they compare to our life in Thailand. Including first impressions, cleanliness, safety, the Filipino people and culture, is the tap water safe to drink, Filipino food, language barriers, hospitals, fuel prices, hotels, buying cars, renting cars, using a chauffeur service, road conditions, the climate and weather, the cost of living, duel pricing systems for foreigners, public transport, imported foods, shopping malls, armed guards and the general standard of life in the Philippines.
We also interview Rob, Sacha's father who has been visiting the Philippines multiple times a year for 9 years. He has a Filipino fiance Luz and has a house in Cavite city Manila that he shares with Luz and her family. We felt that his opinion of the country would be less rose tinted and more definitive having spent much longer with the people. Rob intends to retire to the Philippines in the near future when he is finished with work in the UK, and has already had some interesting experiences. :-)
We obviously couldn't cover every subject in this video and we wish we had more time to spend in the Philippines so that we could have a deeper understanding of expat life in this amazing country. But we definitely intend to return and see what else the Philippines has to offer.

Death is a common denominator amongst all living creatures on this planet. We, as a society, seem to have an obsession with death and how we will end our lives. From illness, to suicide, to unexpected death, our last moments have more of a weighted meaning than the moments from the prime of our lives. This is likely why our society has such an obsession with the last words spoken before death. The death penalty has been a focal point of controversy for the last several decades, but it’s been a practice that’s been in existence for hundreds of years as being put to death was a customary punishment for even the simplest offences.
Now, if you’re an inmate on death row, the date and time of the end of your life has already been determined. It can be either relaxing or unsettling to know when your death will be, but it can also provide an ample opportunity to prepare the perfect set of last words. If you knew you were going to die, what would be your last words? This video provides ten of the most shocking last words by inmates who were on death row. From quirky, to confusing, to profound, these inmates really shook the core of those around them enough to where people are still talking about their last words today.
For example, Robert Towery was put to death in 2012 by lethal injection and said, “I love my family. Potato, potato, potato.” This is quite a confusing set of last words. The first sentence makes sense, but them the “potato” part not so much. Was his family named potato? Did he want to eat a potato? Regardless of the reason, it made numerous people raise an eyebrow to the statement. Perhaps weird last words such as this could even mean something to a long lost friend or relative out there, or the inmate just wanted to have one last hurrah, even if it was psychologically.
Then we have death row inmates who can be humorous and sassy on their last day. For example, George Appel was sentenced to death after killing an NYPD officer. As he prepared to get into the electric chair, he said, “Well, gentlemen, you are about to see a baked Appel.” But he wasn’t the only one to make a joke out of his name. James D. French was initially sentenced to life in prison. Not wanting to commit suicide, he killed his cell mate so that he could be executed. His last words before being electrocuted were, “Here’s this for a headline? ‘French Fries’.”
Finally, the impact of last words could quite have the potential to change the world or force people to rethink their morals and standards. Robert Drew was executed in 1994 and said, “Remember, the death penalty is murder.” For a murderer to say that, it seems as though he is leveling the playing field with the judicial system.
As we continue to live our lives, perhaps the concept of last words should be more of a forethought instead of an afterthought. Most of us will luckily never have the “luxury” that death row inmates have in knowing the time and date of our death.
