Bachelorette's Michael Turnbull breaks up with single mum girlfriend

Bachelorette contestant Michael Turnbull's relationship with single mother Katrina Vincent has ended, Vincent has revealed.

In a strongly worded Instagram post on Thursday, the Brisbane eyebrow specialist said Turnbull has ended the relationship because he did not want to date a mum.

"Ok so for all of you who have been asking ... Michael and I are no longer together," Vincent, 30, wrote alongside two pictures of her two-year-old daughter, Ava.

"He end up deciding he doesn't want to date a person with a child. I am embarrassed and humiliated, I wish I didn't trust him so easily. Oh well you always learn from your mistakes."

Vincent followed up this post with a picture of herself and Ava captioned, "My love, my world, my everything!"

This morning she returned to her Instagram account, posting a picture which read, "The best revenge is always to just happily move on and let karma do the rest."

The split comes as somewhat of a surprise as, this month, Turnbull, 35, told Fairfax he was "enjoying" the experience of dating a single mum.

"I have never dated a woman with a child before. However, I am really enjoying the time I get to spend with her daughter," he said.

"It's just sometimes our dates are a bit messier, with food being thrown around by Ava. I do adore her daughter and we get along really well."

Turnbull and Vincent announced their relationship in a Woman's Day feature this month.

The magazine revealed the pair met when Turnbull saw a picture of Vincent on Instagram and invited her and her daughter out to coffee.

Despite having dated only since November, Turnbull told Woman's Day he thought he would marry Vincent.

"I would definitely say this is the first time I've felt like this about any girl," he said.
