The EBRD's 15-year mission to renovate the world's second biggest arch dam -- now the Enguri HPP again provides more than 40% of Georgia's electricity needs....
Currently it is the world's second highest concrete arch dam with a height of 271.5 metres (891 ft). It is located north of the town Jvari. It is part of the Inguri hydroelectric power station (HES) which is partially located in Abkhazia, the separatist region of Georgia.

5. Inguri Dam, Giorgia
Inguri Dam merupakan bendungan terbesar kedua di dunia yang membendung Sungai Ingur. Sempat dinobatkan sebagai bendungan terbesar di dunia selama beberapa tahu, namun posisinya tergeser karena berdirinya bendungan Jinping-I di Tiongkok.
4. Grand Coulee Dam, Amerika Serikat
Bendungan ini membendung Sungai Columbia. Merupakan bendungan terbesar di Amerika Serikat. Tingginya diperkirakan dua kali Air Terjun Niagara.
3. Almendra Dam, Spanyol
Bendungan ini dibangun selama enam tahun mulai dari tahun 1964 hingga 1970. Bendungan ini dekat dengan perbatasan Spanyol dan Portugal yang membendung Sungai Thormes.
2. Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam, Rusia
Bendungan ini berada di Khakassia, dan membendung Sungai Yenisei. Bendungan ini sangat ajaib karena sama sekali tidak mengalami keretakan ketika gempa bumi 8.0 skala richter menghantam kota itu.

Bendungan ini dibangun sepuluh tahun lamanya pada tahun 1956 hingga 1966. Membendung Sungai Colorado yang membelah Arizona. Akibat bendungan itu, terbentuk sebuah danau besar bernama Danau Powell, yang merupakan danau buatan terbesar kedua di Amerika Serikat.

Inguri Dam merupakan bendungan terbesar kedua di dunia yang membendung Sungai Ingur. Sempat dinobatkan sebagai bendungan terbesar di dunia selama beberapa tahu, namun posisinya tergeser karena berdirinya bendungan Jinping-I di Tiongkok.
4. Grand Coulee Dam, Amerika Serikat
Bendungan ini membendung Sungai Columbia. Merupakan bendungan terbesar di Amerika Serikat. Tingginya diperkirakan dua kali Air Terjun Niagara.
3. Almendra Dam, Spanyol
Bendungan ini dibangun selama enam tahun mulai dari tahun 1964 hingga 1970. Bendungan ini dekat dengan perbatasan Spanyol dan Portugal yang membendung Sungai Thormes.
2. Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam, Rusia
Bendungan ini berada di Khakassia, dan membendung Sungai Yenisei. Bendungan ini sangat ajaib karena sama sekali tidak mengalami keretakan ketika gempa bumi 8.0 skala richter menghantam kota itu.
