“Mr. Carson clearly does not understand or care about the Constitution, which clearly states that ‘no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office,’” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad. “We call on our nation’s political leaders – across the political spectrum - to repudiate these unconstitutional and un-American statements and for Mr. Carson to withdraw from the presidential race.”
He said this incident demonstrates why the Constitution is needed to protect Americans of all faiths.
Awad noted that in 2011, Herman Cain said he would not appoint a Muslim to his cabinet or as a federal judge if elected president.

As recently as last week, polls showed that about 9 percent of voters in North Carolina said they'd vote for the mysterious third party candidate Deez Nuts. Sadly, it was all for nothing.
Deez Nuts, the great and shining hope for this nation in the 2016 presidential election, is not in fact a real person.
The Daily Beast somehow tracked down the 15-year-old boy hero who created Deez Nuts and inspired us all. His name is reportedly Brady Olson, a farmboy from Iowa who registered Deez Nuts as a candidate with the SEC last month.
By tracking down the address next door to the (fake) address that Olson / Deez Nuts filed as a candidate under, they figured out that it was the teen. It turns out that anyone can fill out a Form 2 with the SEC, because until you start getting attention and raising money, nobody checks to see if you're a real person.
That's how you end up with candidates like Sydneys Vuluptuous Buttocks and Limberbutt McCubbins, other "people" who filed a Form 2, but didn't get the attention that Deez Nuts did.
Olson / Deez Nuts is still hoping to become president, though, even though the constitution prohibits a 15-year-old from doing that.
“The next step is to get some party nominations, like the Minnesota Independence Party or the Modern Whig Party,” the predictably awesome Olson told The Daily Beast. “It would also be great to find a VP, preferably McCubbins because the Nuts/McCubbins ticket sounds amazing.”
Maybe this kid should be president. At least president of a cable network or something.

Arnold Schwarzenegger believes Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump will eventually fine-tune his political message.
But, in the meantime, Schwarzenegger believes Trump will continue to say "out there" and "hideous" things.
When the two time Republican Governor Schwarzenegger was asked if Trump's entry into the race hurt the Republican party, Schwarzenegger said: "We'll find out. As (Trump) goes on he's going to say things that are out there and are hideous and that will sometimes hurt the party and hurt himself."
But Schwarzenegger said that by the time the Republican debates come up, Trump will have worked out his message.
"They will understand what they need to say to communicate," said Schwarzenegger. "And not to say things that maybe are not appropriate."
During his presidential announcement, Trump made several inflammatory remarks about Mexican immigrants and U.S. border policy. "When Mexico sends its people," Trump said, "they're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
Speaking about his new film, Terminator Genisys, Schwarzenegger said he did not want to comment on Trump's past comments. "I am not going to be his editor."
But Schwarzenegger was impressed with the Republican field of candidates which offered non-lifetime politicians like Trump.
"There's something very attractive about this race," said Schwarzenegger. "We have people outside of the arena, outside politics and people from within. People now have a choice. Do they want to go with someone who is a political hack, that is an insider, who is climbing the ladder of politics? Or is it someone who is an outsider, thinking more outside of the box. There's something very unique and very refreshing about that."

In conversation with Dan Ashley, Member, Commonwealth Club Board of Governors; News Anchor, ABC 7 Television News, San Francisco
Following the first Republican presidential debate, Dr. Ben Carson has continued to rank highly in the polls. He advocates a flat tax and the replacement of the Affordable Care Act with health savings accounts, is opposed to the Iran agreement, says the climate change debate is “irrelevant” and that there should not be federally determined standards for education. Dr. Carson is also a pioneering neurosurgeon who performed the first successful separation of twins joined at the back of the head. He has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and holds degrees from Yale and the University of Michigan Medical School. At Trump's presidential rallies, a combustible mix of glee, fear

"We're not gonna take it anymore," a crowd of thousands sang as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump entered a South Carolina convention center on Tuesday night as a 1980s heavy metal song by the band Twisted Sister blared from speakers.
The billionaire real-estate developer's packed rallies have been among the liveliest events in the long build-up to the November 2016 U.S. presidential election.
But they are increasingly becoming known for their undercurrent of aggression, which escalated into a physical altercation over the weekend when white Trump supporters attacked a black protester at his rally, to the candidate's approval.
Out in the crowds, the mix of emotions is heady, setting a Trump rally apart from those of virtually all the other Republican and Democratic White House hopefuls. The rallies combine a gleeful rejection of establishment politics, a fear that the country is about to be transformed into something un-American, and a simmering aggression toward those who dissent from Trump's world view.
Although he has been the front-runner almost without interruption for four months in the race for the Republican Party's presidential nomination, Trump is not the only candidate who can draw more supporters than a venue has chairs.
Such talk did not deter the thousands crowding into the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in South Carolina, one of the first states to vote in next year's primary elections that will help determine the two parties' presidential nominees.
Many supporters spoke of the thrill of shunning career politicians - a label that captures all three Democratic contenders and 11 of the 14 Republican contenders - for a man who has never held elected office but appears to know how to run a business.
"We should be done with politicians," Sue Remillard, 67, said, her facial expression showing disgust. "I want a change. I'm tired of politicians."
Two of Trump's Republican rivals are similarly outsiders: Ben Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon, and Carly Fiorina, a former corporate executive whose business accomplishments are less tangible to many Americans than the Trump-branded hotels dotting major cities and vacation resorts.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday showed that 37 percent of Republicans would vote for Trump, putting him far ahead of his nearest rival, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who stood at 11 percent. The online poll of 352 Republicans over the past four days had a credibility interval of plus or minus 6 percentage points.
At Tuesday's event, Trump filled the stage for more than an hour with his characteristic improvised pitch for voters: because he is great, he says, and because everything he does is great, then it can be inferred that if he becomes president the country will be great.
But a new voice appeared on Trump's stage, too, that of his wife, Melania, a jewelry designer and former model. She had 16 words for the crowd: "Good evening. Isn't he the best? He will be the best president ever. We love you."

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton leads her competition among Iowa Democrats, but likely caucus-goers believe Bernie Sanders is the best candidate for the economy, a new poll says.
About half of likely Democratic caucus-goers -- 51% -- said they support Clinton, compared to 42% for Sanders and just 4% for former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, according to the Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.
The results mark very little change from a similar survey released October 23.
Most of those surveyed said they believe Clinton (85%) has a better shot than Sanders (54%) at defeating a Republican candidate, said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, in a statement accompanying the poll results.
About 47% of the Democrats polled said Sanders would best handle the economy, while 42% said they believed Clinton would.
RELATED: Iowa poll: Cruz, not Carson, now Trump's chief rival
Topping the list of issues respondents said they cared about most were the economy and jobs (36%), followed by climate change (15%), foreign policy (12%) and health care (11%).
"It's not that Iowa Democrats are in love with Secretary Clinton right now. They even think Sanders would be better handling the economy, generally the hallmark of the candidate who wins the Democratic nomination," Brown said. "But despite all the things about Clinton that gives Democrats pause, there is one thing that unites them: She looks like a winner in November."
Clinton's favorability rating was 81%, with 68% of participants saying they believe she is honest and trustworthy.
While 89% of participants said Sanders is honest and trustworthy -- more than 30 percentage points higher than Clinton, -- only 66% believe he has the right kind of experience to be president. But nearly all respondents -- 95% -- said Clinton has the right kind of experience to be president.
"The only way Secretary Clinton is going to lose the nomination is a scenario in which she drops the early Iowa and New Hampshire contests to Sen. Sanders, who then might become the 'momentum' candidate," Brown said.
The poll surveyed 543 likely Iowa Democratic caucus participants from November 16-22 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.2 percentage points.

Carly Fiorina
For the second debate in a row, Fiorina was once again the breakout star of the night, taking on Republican front-runner Donald Trump with finesse and capturing the crowd with polished, zinging answers and an impassioned charge against abortion.
Fiorina earned perhaps the biggest applause of the night as she skewered Planned Parenthood.
Fiorina dodged an early opportunity to hit Trump but didn't make that mistake again when she was asked to address the businessman's recent comments about her appearance to Rolling Stone, in which he suggested her face would make her unelectable.
Fiorina takes on Trump
New York journalist and CNN contributor Errol Louis said after the debate that Fiorina was "the clearest winner."
Marco Rubio
Rubio proved Wednesday night why so many GOP elites have long considered him a top contender for the Republican nomination: He can weave his strong handle of policy with a compelling personal narrative.
Rubio took on Trump differently than Fiorina or Bush, dispatching the front-runner without attacking him directly, instead steering the debate toward his strengths.
When Trump pointed out Rubio's voting absences in the Senate, Rubio refused to retort with an attack of his own.
Jeb Bush
"You know what? As it relates to my brother, there's one thing I know for sure. He kept us safe," Bush told Trump to one of his strongest applause moments of the night. "You remember the fire fighter with his arms around it? He sent a clear signal that the United States would be strong and fight Islamic terrorism, and he did keep us safe."
And he also successfully tackled Trump over the billionaire's suggestion that Bush's Mexican-American wife was the reason for his support for comprehensive immigration reform.
"To subject my wife into the middle of a raucous political conversation was completely inappropriate, and I hope you apologize for that, Donald," Bush said. "Why don't you apologize to her right now." Trump declined.
Chris Christie
"While I'm as entertained as anyone by this personal back-and-forth about the history of Donald and Carly's career, for the 55-year-old construction worker out in that audience tonight who doesn't have a job, who can't fund his child's education, I've got to tell you the truth. They could care less about your careers, they care about theirs," Christie said. "Let's start talking about that on this stage and stop playing -- and stop playing the games."
Earlier in the night, Christie suggested the problem with the debate was "we're fighting with each other up here" over how to approach defunding Planned Parenthood even though "we agree."
Unclear
Donald Trump
Trump stumbled in responding to Fiorina's deft answer to his comments about her face, awkwardly calling her "beautiful" after suggesting her looks would keep Americans from voting for her.
Former Bush aide and CNN political commentator Ana Navarro spoke highly of the move.
And when Bush attacked him for a "lack of judgment" and "lack of understanding about how the world works," Trump resorted to an oft-used tactic of tying Bush to his brother's presidency suggesting that "your brother's administration gave us Barack Obama because it was such a disaster ... that Abraham Lincoln couldn't have been elected."
Bush's quick answer -- that his brother kept the country safe -- knocked Trump off balance as the crowd roared in approval.
And as he faced questions over foreign policy and his flubbed response to conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, who was one of the debate's questioners, Trump smartly pivoted to Hewitt, insulating himself from further attacks from his rivals.
Conservative analyst Mercedes Schlapp said Trump was silent for more than 30 minutes of discussion n serious policy issues.

Donald Trump vows that if he's elected president, he would "be the greatest jobs president that God ever created."
One of the main reasons Trump cites is that he's a businessman. He has already created jobs, he argues, so he'll do it on an even bigger scale as president.
So how many jobs has Trump created as a businessman?
A CNN Money analysis calculates at least 34,000 jobs attributable to the Donald.
It's not the most straightforward calculation. His company, The Trump Organization, is private, so it does not have to disclose information publicly about how much money it makes or how many people it employs. His campaign didn't give a specific figure either.
For comparison, a similar company Wynn Resorts (WYNN) has about 17,000 employees and $5.4 billion in revenue, and MGM Resorts (MGM) has 62,000 employees and took in $10 billion in revenue last year, according to FactSet.
Donald Trump's net worth – Is It $4.5 Billion or $9 Billion? Trump claims his personal wealth is $10 billion, although Bloomberg calculates it at $2.9 billion.
Donald John Trump is an American real estate developer, television personality, business author, and political candidate. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization, and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts.
Born: June 14, 1946 (age 69), Queens, New York City, New York, United States
Net worth: 4 billion USD (2015) Forbes
Spouse: Melania Trump (m. 2005), Marla Maples (m. 1993–1999), Ivana Trump (m. 1977–1992)
Children: Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., Barron Trump
Parents: Mary Anne Trump, Fred Trump
Quotes
Sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make.
I try to learn from the past, but I plan for the future by focusing exclusively on the present. That's were the fun is.
Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game.
Real estate mogul turned presidential hopeful Donald Trump has disagreed with The Forbes 400 estimates of his net worth for decades. This year is no different: Forbes puts his net worth at $4.5 billion, a record high; Trump still claims he's worth more than twice that. But he also admitted in a long interview that Forbes had listed his net worth "too high" in the early years on The 400 list -- and that in turn it helped him secure financing. Rising real estate prices over the past 12 months have pushed up the value of his portion of Trump Tower, the Niketown store on 57th St. and Fifth Ave. in Manhattan and his 30% of the 555 California St. building in San Francisco. Trump licenses his name to more than a dozen properties that he does not own, including the Trump Park Residences in Westchester County, N.Y. and Trump Towers Istanbul in Turkey. He's working to turn the old Washington D.C. post office -- for which his Trump Organization has a 60-year lease from the government -- into a swank hotel slated to open in 2016. NBC, which airs the show "The Apprentice" (which starred Donald Trump for 14 years; he reportedly quit the show in March to work on his campaign) announced in June 2015 that it was severing all business ties with Trump due to his comments about immigrants.

Donald Trump's net worth – Is It $4.5 Billion or $9 Billion?
In June 2015, Donald announced that he was running for President. With his announcement he released an estimate of his personal wealth which pegged his net worth at $8.7 billion. The main reason this net worth differs from most generally accepted evaluations of his wealth, has to do with how Donald values his personal brand. In his net worth estimate, Donald values his personal brand at $3.3 billion. Other analysts value the brand at closer to $50 or $100 million.

Full Speech in Iowa: https://youtu.be/JzmAryt2Fsw WATCH [complete]: Donald Trump Presidential Announcement Full Speech 6/16/16 Donald Trump announces he’s running for President of the United States.
New York (AFP) - Property tycoon Donald Trump, one of America's most flamboyant and outspoken billionaires, threw his hat into the 2016 race Tuesday for the White House, promising to make America great again.
The 69-year-old long-shot candidate ridiculed the country's current crop of politicians as "stupid" and vowed to take on the growing might of China in a speech launching his run for the presidency.
"I am officially running for president of the United States and we are going to make our country great again," he said from a podium bedecked in US flags at Trump Tower on New York's Fifth Avenue.
The tycoon strode onto the stage after sailing down an escalator to the strains of "Rockin' In The Free World" by Canadian singer Neil Young after being introduced by daughter Ivanka.
Best moments from Donald Trump’s meandering, bizarre presidential announcement
Donald Trump walked on stage Tuesday as Neil Young’s “Keep on Rocking in the Free World” played and announced his candidacy for president of the United States in an epic, meandering, bizarre speech in which he touched on ISIS, international relations with China, Mexican “rapists,” Obamacare, and the fact that he’s “really rich.”
Here are the most bizarre quotes from his nearly hour-long speech.
Can’t figure out air conditioning? Can’t beat ISIS.
“I can tell you some of the candidates, they went in, they didn’t know the air conditioner didn’t work, they sweated like dogs, they didn’t know the room was too big because they didn’t have anyone there. How are they going to beat ISIS?”
He beats China
“We don’t have victories anymore. We used to have victories, but we don’t have them. When was the last time anybody saw us beating, let’s say, China in a trade deal? They kill us. I beat China all the time.”
Immigrants from Mexico: “they’re rapists.”
“When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they’re beating us economically, they are not our friend believe me.”
“They just built a hotel in Syria. Can you believe this? They built a hotel. When I have to build a hotel, I pay interest. They don’t have to pay interest because they took the oil, that when we left Iraq, I said we should have taken, so now ISIS has the oil. And what they don’t have, Iran has.”
Unemployment rate
Obamacare
“Yesterday it came out, that costs are going for people, up, 29, 39, 49, and even 55 per cent. And deductibles are through the roof. You have to get hit by a tractor, literally a tractor, to use it.”
“Remember the $5 billion website? $5 billion we spent on a website and to this day it doesn’t work. A $5 billion website, I have so many websites I have all over the place. I hire people, they do a website, it costs me $3.”
A “truly great leader” named Donald Trump
“This country needs a truly great leader and we need a truly great leader now. We need a leader that wrote the Art of the Deal.”
China’s killing the US economy – but he buys Chinese products and loves China
“You know China comes over and they dump all their stuff, and I buy it, I buy it, frankly I have an obligation to buy it.”
“Hey, I’m not saying they’re stupid. I like China. I just sold an apartment for $15 million to somebody from China. Am I supposed to dislike them?”
“The biggest bank in the world is from China, you know where their United States headquarters is located? In this building, Trump Tower.”
“Their leaders are much smarter than our leaders and we can’t sustain ourselves with that, it’s like, take the New England Patriots and Tom Brady and have them play your high school football team. That’s the difference between China’s leaders and our leaders.”
Can’t be influenced because he’s “really rich.”
“I’ll say sorry fellas, no interest. Because I don’t need anybody’s money, it’s nice. I don’t need anybody’s money. I’m using my own money. I’m not using lobbyists, I’m not using donors, I don’t care. I’m really rich; I’ll show you that in a second.”
The great wall of America
“I would do various things, very quickly. I would repeal and replace the big lie Obamacare. I would build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border and I will have Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

What are a woman's chances of success in a society,
Described as masculine and tribal? Can she really strip
Somalia from fiasco description?
.......................................................
President Fatima was given a hard time on this program called ‘’point of order ‘’ on Al Arabiya TV, a weekly socio-political hard-talk show, The highlight in this interview was the question of ‘’What does it mean to you that Somalia is a member of the League of Arab States? She answered ( I think the presence of Somalia within the Arab League falls under cosmetic purposes, in fact, I was just reading about this issue, where the Arab League was supposed to help us economically, and we were supposed to have economic and political relations with the Arab League. However, during all that period, in which Somalia experienced a lot of problems, these countries did not offer a clear support to Somalia, or take serious actions to offer help. Therefore, this makes me believe that the membership of Somalia in the Arab League falls under cosmetic purposes. I want to remind you that the country's former dictator joined the Arab League to serve his political agenda. We are the only non-Arab country in the Arab League, so are we talking about Somalia as a genuine member in the Arab League, or is it just a member for cosmetic purposes)

Presidential Candidate Dr. Ben Carson appeared with potential First Lady Candy Carson at the Arkansas Capitol in Little Rock on August 27, 2015.
Despite the difficulty in finding available unreserved parking around or near the State Capital, a large and diverse crowd nevertheless somehow managed to gather for Dr. Carson’s appearance. A foursome of female Gospel singers kicked-off the political rally with several minutes of songs praising Jesus; an entrée that may have seemed a little unusual to many, even in the Bible Belt, as an introduction to a world-renowned neurosurgeon seeking the Presidency of the United States of America. Nevertheless, the music was congruent with the intellectually astute and well-read doctor’ s unapologetic Christian faith, whose unhurried and soft-spoken manner is as unusual for a politician as is his resumé.
Arkansas Republican Party Chairman, Doyle Webb, introduced Dr. Carson. Following his enumeration of several of Dr. Carson’s impressive credentials and accomplishments, he welcomed the candidate to the microphone with the rousing pronouncement that “… he’s got a prescription for what ails America”.
As his surprisingly successful Presidential campaign (currently polling in second place behind Donald Trump) has advanced, Dr.Carson has been willing to hear and answer questions from a broad spectrum of individuals, pundits, and journalists on the left, right, and in-between. Not tending to the common politician’s technique of answering in vague generalities or of ignoring the question asked to instead make a speech about a predesigned talking-point, he has frustrated detractors by calmly expressing well-reasoned and specific views on the issues under discussion in America.
