Australia's 2015 Bachelor Sam Wood and his winning bachelorette Snezana Markoski are engaged.

Markoski made the big announcement over Instagram on Monday evening with a photo of her hand sporting a large sparkling diamond ring, hand-in-hand with Wood.

"Happiest girl in the world," Snezana posted.

Wood posted the same picture on his Instagram account, with the caption: "She said YES! When you know, you know. I love you Snezana".

The engagement comes just two months after The Bachelor finale aired on Channel 10.

The announcement puts to bed tabloid rumours on Monday morning suggesting the relationship was on the rocks due to the couple's long-distance relationship.

Wood, 35, lives in Melbourne where he runs his fitness company Woodshed, while Markoski, also 35, lives in Perth with her 10-year-old daughter, Eve.

Snezana, a molecular genetics student and scientific sales rep, has made several weekend trips to Melbourne to spend time with her beau, attending red carpet and media events with Wood on her arm.

Wood has also travelled to the other side of the country to be with Markoski and her daughter.

The single mother won the heart of the personal trainer during season three of The Bachelor Australia, beating out a bevy of bachelorettes vying for his affections.

After sending home runner-up Lana Jeavons-Fellows in the season finale, Wood told Markoski he had fallen in love with her and was ready for the responsibility of becoming a father figure to her daughter, Eve.

"I've fallen madly in love with you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Snezana," Wood said in a lavish candelit ceremony filmed at a Blue Mountains property.

"You make me a better man," he said. "I want to spoil you and I want to look after you forever."

"I know it doesn't mean just looking after you, I know it also means looking after Eve."

Wood presented Markoski with a $20,000 commitment ring, as well as a silver necklace for Eve, telling his new partner he was in her daughter's debt for convincing her to go on the show.

The yellow diamond knuckle duster was met with mixed reviews from viewers, several of whom expressed their dislike for the ring designed by Wood.

Early comments on the Instagram announcement suggest Snezana's engagement ring is more to fans' likings.

The pair were forced to keep their relationship under wraps for months while The Bachelor Australia season three went to air.

Channel 10 went to extreme lengths to keep the outcome of the hit show a secret, arranging clandestine meetings for the winning couple and employing body doubles and decoy vehicles to throw the media off the scent.
