Here is an excerpt from my discussion with Clifford on this week’s Solari Report:

Clifford Carnicom: I found a paper by the Federation of American Scientists and it was like this group was trying to make amends for having been involved in nuclear testing. They were postulating what they felt they might be involved with in the future and they brought up the topic of LIDAR. It was fascinating to me because this is obviously a think-tank at the highest level in terms of what we think is the most important thing to be working on. And this group was putting forth the proposition that they should be working on LIDAR. So I looked up LIDAR to conceptually understand what it was and it fascinated me to no end in terms of the implications.

Many of us know RADAR. Radar is a system where you bounce a radio wave off of something and you can detect its existence or not. LIDAR is the same idea except that they use light waves instead of radio waves. The main difference for LIDAR would be the size of the particles you’re detecting. Instead of detecting a boat or a ship or a plane, LIDAR is directed towards microscopic, sub-micron sized particles.

So when you start thinking about the development of a system that essentially could monitor and track the location and distribution and movement of material on a micro / nano scale, the possibilities are completely endless in terms of what that means. One of them was certainly that this has real prospects for development of surveillance systems at essentially a microscopic level. You breathe particulates. Particulates are in our body. How could I eliminate the prospect of developing a system that would allow me to track information down to the microscopic level at any location that I chose to?

Catherine Austin Fitts: In 2000-2001, someone I knew who used to be very senior in covert operations at the CIA showed up in my life very suspiciously and tried to persuade me re: a whole bunch of different things. One of these was: by breathing in the materials that were in the aerial spraying, they were basically displaying a global ID system. The particles would find each other in our bodies and they would create the equivalent of an organic bar code or chip.

Clifford Carnicom: How can I eliminate that from consideration? Because what is being said there is exactly the picture that I have. It’s quite sensible to me that unique signatures could be presented at essentially the cellular level or lower. It’s quite conceivable to me.

Catherine Austin Fitts: I think what these guys literally want is the ultimate database of everything that be managed as a dynamic system in a simulation.

And there’s more:

Clifford Carnicom: If you read Bernard Eastland’s patent (what’s called the HAARP patent) you’ll find a very interesting reference to the development of a weapons system that involves magnetic fields of the earth. And the weapons system — what it actually does — is accumulate enough energy on a geophysical level that lifts up the magnetic field of the earth and then slams it down back on the earth. It’s called a “heave weapon” within that document and it’s characterized as having all of the advantages of a nuclear bomb without actually having a bomb. This is an example of a geophysical influence at an earth-scale — a global scale — that is far beyond just a notion of the weather.

Book Review: Crowded Orbits: Conflict and Cooperation in Space

Our theme for the Solari Report Annual Wrap Up which will publish on January 7 is “The Space-Based Economy.” Consequently, I am on a search for the best books I can recommend to you on this topic.

Crowded Orbits: Conflict and Cooperation in Space by James Clay Moltz is an excellent overview of the publicly available information on the history and activities of global space programs and the growing traffic jam in the orbital space around Earth.

Dr. Moltz is a Professor, Associate Chair for Research, and Director of the Project on Advanced Systems and Concepts for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Department of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School.

“This book offers general readers and students an understanding of the competing trends of competition and cooperation in the past and present of human space activity, while also asking questions about the future. It covers scientific topics, the economics of space, and difficult debates about military security. The book does not assume any prior knowledge of space and is aimed at reaching anyone with an interest in the subject matter. Its overall focus is on possible means of avoiding dangerous conflict in this new environment, even as human activity increases.”

Dr. Moltz accomplishes his goal. The book is an excellent introduction and overview of the unclassified history and future of human endeavors in space.

I am one of those people who are perpetually in search of the finest olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make – among other things – the perfect salad. I have never found an olive oil to top my favorite – Barbàra Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Sicily. There is something about olives that come from trees that are hundreds of years old – some said to be even a thousand years old.

Their US importer just launched their website so the oil is now readily accessible to retail.

Rosa Koire is an author and a forensic commercial real estate appraiser specializing in eminent domain valuation.  A former District Branch Chief for the California Department of Transportation, her twenty-eight year career in litigation support on land use has culminated in exposing the impacts of Sustainable Development on private property rights and individual liberty.

In 2005 Rosa was elected to a citizens’ oversight committee in Santa Rosa, Northern California, to review a proposed 1,300 acre redevelopment project in which 10,000 people live and work.  Her research into the documents justifying the plans led her, with her partner Kay Tokerud, to challenge the fraudulent basis for the huge Gateways Redevelopment Project.  The City, in an attempt to block Koire from exposing the project, removed the neighborhood in which Koire and Tokerud’s properties were located from the redevelopment area.

Here is an excerpt from my conversation with Rosa Koire on this week’s Solari Report:

Catherine: In your book, you do a great job of pointing out that through our property taxes and our own tax dollars, we’re financing this — rather than the money we’re paying in taxes going to provide the services we need. Increasingly, it’s going to finance these things which are harming us. So, part of our financial problem and our time problem is that we’re paying money to somebody who’s stealing our time and stealing our assets.

Rosa Koire: That’s right and that’s through something called tax increment financing, also known as redevelopment and also known (at one point) as urban renewal and a myriad of names. Basically, your area is declared “blighted” because your local government paid a consulting company to say that hundreds of acres of your town are so grossly undeveloped and poorly maintained that no one would invest there. Therefore, they need to take property taxes from that area and give them to developers (and the land itself) who are going to get huge windfalls from your property taxes and basically build “smart growth” — which is the desired model. And they’re not going to wait for 30 years of property taxes to collect. They’re going to get a bond or money up-front. That means that you now have a loan and that a portion of your property taxes every year is going to go to pay off this huge bond debt. There is enormous bond debt across the United States and it’s one reason why your street lights are off and your parks are shabby. They tell you that you have a drought and you that can’t water your park. But there’s no money for your local services because it’s all going for bond debt to pay for those huge buildings in the center of your town which are very often empty. Because this thing is designed to bankrupt you.
