Data (/ˈdeɪtə/ DAY-tə, /ˈdætə/ DA-tə, or /ˈdɑːtə/ DAH-tə) is a set of values of qualitative or quantitative variables; restated, pieces of data are individual pieces of information. Data is measured, collected and reported, and analyzed, whereupon it can be visualized using graphs or images. Data as a general concept refers to the fact that some existing information or knowledge is represented or coded in some form suitable for better usage or processing.
Raw data, i.e. unprocessed data, is a collection of numbers, characters; data processing commonly occurs by stages, and the "processed data" from one stage may be considered the "raw data" of the next. Field data is raw data that is collected in an uncontrolled in situ environment. Experimental data is data that is generated within the context of a scientific investigation by observation and recording.
The Latin word "data" is the plural of "datum", and still may be used as a plural noun in this sense. Nowadays, though, "data" is most commonly used in the singular, as a mass noun (like "information", "sand" or "rain").

Concrete
Concrete is a composite material composed of aggregate bonded together with a fluid cement which hardens over time. Most use of the term "concrete" refers to Portland cement concrete or to concretes made with other hydraulic cements, such as ciment fondu. However, road surfaces are also a type of concrete, "asphaltic concrete", where the cement material is bitumen.
In Portland cement concrete (and other hydraulic cement concretes), when the aggregate is mixed together with the dry cement and water, they form a fluid mass that is easily molded into shape. The cement reacts chemically with the water and other ingredients to form a hard matrix which binds all the materials together into a durable stone-like material that has many uses. Often, additives (such as pozzolans or superplasticizers) are included in the mixture to improve the physical properties of the wet mix or the finished material. Most concrete is poured with reinforcing materials (such as rebar) embedded to provide tensile strength, yielding reinforced concrete.

Pineal gland
The pineal gland, also known as the pineal body, conarium or epiphysis cerebri, is a small endocrine gland in the vertebrate brain. It produces melatonin, a serotonin derived hormone, which affects the modulation of sleep patterns in both seasonal and circadian rhythms. Its shape resembles a tiny pine cone (hence its name), and it is located in the epithalamus, near the center of the brain, between the two hemispheres, tucked in a groove where the two halves of the thalamus join.
Nearly all vertebrate species possess a pineal gland. The most important exception is the hagfish, which is often thought of as the most primitive extant vertebrate. Even in the hagfish, however, there may be a "pineal equivalent" structure in the dorsal diencephalon. The lancelet Branchiostoma lanceolatum, the nearest existing relative to vertebrates, also lacks a recognizable pineal gland. The lamprey (considered almost as primitive as the hagfish), however, does possess one. A few more developed vertebrates, including the alligator, lack pineal glands because they have been lost over the course of evolution.

Everyone has felt the pain of road construction delaying their travel plans and, in those moments, there’s little comfort in an article touting the engineering that made it possible. But, in the video above, we’ve captured construction very few motorists encountered – because a badly damaged bridge was replaced in the middle of the night, and ready for traffic the next day. This successful result was achieved by a coordinated team of construction and engineering companies, among which LaBella is proud to have played a role. In July 2016, an excavator was being transported from I-190 southbound to I-90 eastbound on a trailer, exceeding posted height limitations for the road. The Exit 53 overpass bridge was struck, and the damage required New York State Thruway Authority crews to immediately shore the overpass bridge and limit traffic. NYSTA worked quickly with CHA’s engineering team in Buffalo on a plan to remove the damaged portion of the bridge, and replace it with a new section. The new section was prefabricated by the Fort Miller Company in Schuylerville, NY. The plans called for the removal and replacement to be completed in one weekend, to minimize traffic closures on the Thruway below. Union Concrete and Construction Corporation (UCC) was selected to perform the work, and Contour Steel, Inc, was tapped to lead the removal of the damaged portion of the bridge, and safely erect the replacement section. LaBella Associates engineers worked closely with all companies to create a construction plan that could be executed within the limited timeframe of one night’s disruption. The procedure developed by LaBella included the determination of the weight of pieces to be removed and erected, the positioning of the crane for safe operation, and calculating the rigging required to perform the lifts. LaBella also performed evaluations of the mid-level bridge which would be used to transport the removed, damaged sections (also known as: don’t damage a different bridge while fixing the first one). LaBella’s plan was put in action on Friday, November 18th at 7:00 pm with the closure of two ramp bridges off the Exit 53 interchange. Once the bridges were closed, UCC crews began to mill the asphalt wearing surface and sawcut the bridge deck. Ironworkers from Contour Steel began to remove the steel railing from the deck, along with strategic sections of the temporary shoring and existing steel framing. At 10:00 pm, the westbound Thruway lanes were closed, and a 600 ton hydraulic crane was mobilized. Four hours are needed to set up the crane, during which time crews completed the surgical separation of the damaged section. At approximately 2:45 am, the damaged section of the bridge, weighing approximately 108 tons, was set upon two heavy haul trailer trucks and driven off the bridge for demolition. The replacement section, weighing 95 tons, was rigged to be lifted into place. The lift began at 3:15 am and the new section was in its final position by 4:15 am. Work by UCC and Contour Steel continued as hardware was installed to join the new section to the existing bridge. The Thruway was cleared of the crane and opened to traffic by 8:00 am on Saturday morning. Following paving and clean up, the Exit 53 overpass bridge was re-opened at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 20th. -

1: What happened to the people on the 4 missing airliners? Impossible to know exactly since the CIA had known hijack drills that morning, fake radar data was inserted and real rada data was replaced. The CIA planned to hijack airliners and fly them to military bases in "operation malgom virgo". They could have done it many different ways. It's easy to make airliners disappear if you are the government. A good example is MH370, even with working and up to date radar tracking technology, the plane and all passengers are still missing several years later.
If nature can make an airliner disappear, imagine what the CIA can do on a morning with known hijack drills. Obviously they killed all the passengers. If you don't think the CIA would kill americans, watch "CIA & Satanism" by Ted Gunderson.
2: Why didn't they paint the belly to be dark blue like UA175?: Impossible to know their reasoning, but they felt it was enough to just paint the tail. You can't deny the fact that they got away with it.
Even if you don't believe the video footage shows it was a military plane and that all the witnesses were wrong, the engine that flew out from the supposed U.A. 175 crash did not belong to any of the missing 9-11 planes, no U.A. 767 in history has ever used that engine. The engine is forensic proof, study the pictures and compare it to the model UA175 used. The case is closed.

1: What happened to the people on the 4 missing airliners? Impossible to know exactly since the CIA had known hijack drills that morning, fake radar data was inserted and real rada data was replaced. The CIA planned to hijack airliners and fly them to military bases in "operation malgom virgo". They could have done it many different ways. It's easy to make airliners disappear if you are the government. A good example is MH370, even with working and up to date radar tracking technology, the plane and all passengers are still missing several years later.
If nature can make an airliner disappear, imagine what the CIA can do on a morning with known hijack drills. Obviously they killed all the passengers. If you don't think the CIA would kill americans, watch "CIA & Satanism" by Ted Gunderson.
2: Why didn't they paint the belly to be dark blue like UA175?: Impossible to know their reasoning, but they felt it was enough to just paint the tail. You can't deny the fact that they got away with it.
Even if you don't believe the video footage shows it was a military plane and that all the witnesses were wrong, the engine that flew out from the supposed U.A. 175 crash did not belong to any of the missing 9-11 planes, no U.A. 767 in history has ever used that engine. The engine is forensic proof, study the pictures and compare it to the model UA175 used. The case is closed.

Everyone has felt the pain of road construction delaying their travel plans and, in those moments, there’s little comfort in an article touting the engineering that made it possible. But, in the video above, we’ve captured construction very few motorists encountered – because a badly damaged bridge was replaced in the middle of the night, and ready for traffic the next day. This successful result was achieved by a coordinated team of construction and engineering companies, among which LaBella is proud to have played a role.
In July 2016, an excavator was being transported from I-190 southbound to I-90 eastbound on a trailer, exceeding posted height limitations for the road. The Exit 53 overpass bridge was struck, and the damage required New York State Thruway Authority crews to immediately shore the overpass bridge and limit traffic.
NYSTA worked quickly with CHA’s engineering team in Buffalo on a plan to remove the damaged portion of the bridge, and replace it with a new section. The new section was prefabricated by the Fort Miller Company in Schuylerville, NY. The plans called for the removal and replacement to be completed in one weekend, to minimize traffic closures on the Thruway below.
Union Concrete and Construction Corporation (UCC) was selected to perform the work, and Contour Steel, Inc, was tapped to lead the removal of the damaged portion of the bridge, and safely erect the replacement section. LaBella Associates engineers worked closely with all companies to create a construction plan that could be executed within the limited timeframe of one night’s disruption. The procedure developed by LaBella included the determination of the weight of pieces to be removed and erected, the positioning of the crane for safe operation, and calculating the rigging required to perform the lifts. LaBella also performed evaluations of the mid-level bridge which would be used to transport the removed, damaged sections (also known as: don’t damage a different bridge while fixing the first one).
LaBella’s plan was put in action on Friday, November 18th at 7:00 pm with the closure of two ramp bridges off the Exit 53 interchange. Once the bridges were closed, UCC crews began to mill the asphalt wearing surface and sawcut the bridge deck. Ironworkers from Contour Steel began to remove the steel railing from the deck, along with strategic sections of the temporary shoring and existing steel framing. At 10:00 pm, the westbound Thruway lanes were closed, and a 600 ton hydraulic crane was mobilized. Four hours are needed to set up the crane, during which time crews completed the surgical separation of the damaged section. At approximately 2:45 am, the damaged section of the bridge, weighing approximately 108 tons, was set upon two heavy haul trailer trucks and driven off the bridge for demolition.
The replacement section, weighing 95 tons, was rigged to be lifted into place. The lift began at 3:15 am and the new section was in its final position by 4:15 am. Work by UCC and Contour Steel continued as hardware was installed to join the new section to the existing bridge. The Thruway was cleared of the crane and opened to traffic by 8:00 am on Saturday morning. Following paving and clean up, the Exit 53 overpass bridge was re-opened at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 20th.

The steps we take through childhood are marked by mentally painful episodes that constitute ordinary breakdowns in the self. Adolescence stands as the most painful such period, during which some of the major disturbances of self arise, including anorexia, schizophrenia, bipolarity, and sociopathy. Core to many of these applications are visual recognition tasks such as image classification, localization and detection. Recent developments in neural network (aka “deep learning”) approaches have greatly advanced the performance of these state-of-the-art visual recognition systems. This lecture collection is a deep dive into details of the deep learning architectures with a focus on learning end-to-end models for these tasks, particularly image classification. From this lecture collection, students will learn to implement, train and debug their own neural networks and gain a detailed understanding of cutting-edge research in computer vision.

Distributed databases are complex systems. Unlike many other types of services, databases and stateful systems in general have many constraints–some obvious and some not so–that must be respected during operations for the system to maintain correctness by not losing or lying about data. An ideal system allows you to operate on it or move data around (e.g. by adding or removing nodes) without sacrificing availability or performance any more than necessary.
Because of these complexities, distributed storage systems are often a huge pain to manage. Manhattan, Twitter’s primary key-value store, operates at a large scale with multiple configurations and capabilities that require careful and subtly different orchestration while managing the cluster, but through a thoughtful and iterative approach to cluster operations we’ve been able to make it relatively easy and pleasant to run.
This talk will cover some of the reasons why managing stateful systems is hard, including managing availability, data movement and scale, how distributed storage systems generally do it with concrete examples from Twitter’s Manhattan, and the importance of generalized infrastructure for maintaining the sanity of your team members.

Description: The Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (IPPCR) is a course to train participants on how to effectively conduct clinical research. The course focuses on the spectrum of clinical research and the research process by highlighting epidemiologic methods, study design, protocol preparation, patient monitoring, quality assurance, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issues.
