The Stokemonkey Pedal assist system on a Surly Big Dummy. I've tried to explain the stokemonkey to folks, and mostly they don't get it. Aside from the point that stokemonkey puts the power where it belongs, BEFORE the transmission (rather than at the hub, where it does the least good), YOU do the work. Stokemonkey helps if you ask, but you do the work. This is what makes it the only true pedal assist system out there of which I am aware.
