Jiah Khan suicide: Sooraj was aware of Jiah's acute depression

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan committed suicide on June 3, 2013. The case is again in the news, thanks to the fresh charge sheet filed by the CBI. According to reports, it has been revealed that Jiah's alleged boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was already aware of the fact that Jiah was in acute depression and had instructed his male house-help to keep a close eye on her.

According to the CBI charge sheet, the 23-year-old house-help revealed that Jiah had reached Sooraj's Juhu flat weeping on a May morning. She had carried her luggage and was inconsolable. He said that Jiah and Sooraj had a discussion for a while and thereafter Sooraj said that we was going to meet her mother.

Sooraj instructed the help to not leave Jiah alone. He further added that Jiah lived at Sooraj's home for a couple of days and that he had seen Sooraj and Jiah having a heated argument once. He also said that he had heard Sooraj yelling at Jiah over the phone on the night of the incident.

The report also mentioned that the house-help recalled an incident from November 2012. He said that Sooraj had asked him to check on Jiah at 11 pm when she was not answering his calls. He added that after repeated attempts, Jiah opened the door and she was drunk with her hand bleeding with a piece of glass in her hand. The house-help laid her on a sofa.

It was also reported that on the night when Jiah passed away, Sooraj's father, Aditya Pancholi, came to her residence and sat at her mother Rabiya khan's feet and wept uncontrollably.
