Dame Harriet Walter attends the Gala Screening of The Sense of an Ending.
Described by The Observer as 'One of the most important theatrical events of the last twenty years', the Donmar Warehouse presents the first part of Phyllida Lloyd's Shakespeare Trilogy in cinemas across the UK on 12 July. Julius Caesar depicts the catastrophic consequences of a political leader's extension of his powers beyond the remit of the constitution. As Brutus (Harriet Walter) wrestles with his moral conscience over the assassination of Julius Caesar (Jackie Clune), Mark Antony (Jade Anouka) manipulates the crowd through his subtle and incendiary rhetoric to frenzied mob violence. 'Lloyd's account of Julius Caesar seethes with menace, and here the prison setting makes perfect sense' ***** EVENING STANDARD Phyllida Lloyd takes her tense, arresting production of Shakespeare’s fam...
Pure romance with no "sleuthin". I have stripped the story of Lord Peter Wimsey's love for Harriet Vane from Strong Poison, Have His Carcass and Gaudy Night. Portrayed by Edward Petherbridge and Harriet Walter, written by Dorothy L. Sayers. With music by Bach of course but also Pachelbel, this is an unashamedly gooey piece of editing on my part:-)
