Police say the death of a man who was found in the water off Trigg Beach, reportedly with his hands and feet tied, is not being treated as suspicious.

Police cordoned-off a section of Trigg Beach after the unconscious man was pulled from the water around midday on Friday.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead a short time later at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

A City of Stirling spokeswoman said lifeguards spotted the man floating in the water during a routine jetski patrol.

"He was brought to shore and CPR was commenced until paramedics and police arrived," she said.

She said the incident occurred 100 metres off shore on the north side of Trigg Island.

A group of police and detectives were at the scene on Friday afternoon and Mirrabooka Detectives are working to identify the man.

An SES team of 15 people also searched the area.
