Worst ads of any app!
Very intrusive ads that trick you into clicking because they take up the whole screen or look like an actual alert. Then they redirect and open the App Store trying to get you to download something. And don't even get me started on the audio ads that you can't shut off. Always great to be sitting somewhere quiet reading and an audio ad comes out of nowhere. HuffPo is terrible. Delete the app and use regular browser.
What happened to the reader comments icon? I want to read news but also want to be entertained by idiotic and senseless comments. That's more than half the fun and HuffPo has now taken that away for a majority of articles on mobile. MAKE COMMENTS AVAILABLE ON MOBILE FOR ALL ARTICLES.
Could be so much better
I scan thru their articles every day, and I truly enjoy them. However, I'm getting very tired of their lame attempts to grab my attention: "you'll never believe what happens next!"..."the video is even more shocking!"
Please, treat your readers with respect. This isn't Facebook, and we actually have attention spans.
Today, there was a very upsetting banner at the bottom that was flashing in a desperate attempt to make me think I had a message. That was it! HuffPost: please get your dignity back. I would sincerely appreciate it.
Great app
Great layout. Best stories of all types on front pages and then subsequent pages are on specific topics like news or entertainment. Ads are not obtrusive. They are there so they can make money and it's better than directly paying them. Highly suggest the app. They are not too mainstream and they often give a new perspective on the news.
