The 1991 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final was a football match played between Manchester United and FC Barcelona at Feijenoord Stadion, Rotterdam. It came at the end of the first season of the reintroduction of English clubs into European competition after the ban following the Heysel disaster.
The match ended 21 to Manchester United on the night, with both United goals coming from Mark Hughes. Ronald Koeman scored a consolation goal for Barça towards the end of the game, but it was not enough to prevent the Red Devils from becoming the first English side to win a European competition since they were banned in 1985

Connacht claimed their second successive bonus point win in the Guinness PRO12 as bottom side Zere were thrashed at the Sportsground.
Winger Matt Healy marked his 50th Connacht cap with an early try and Kieran Marmion, Eoin McKeon and Craig Ronaldson also crossed before half-time, building a 29-10 advantage.
Dion Berryman's 35th-minute touchdown was Zebre's lone response, but the second half was scrappy and poor value for the 3,994 spectators.
The westerners had a fifth try from prop Denis Buckley in the 48th minute and Zebre's persistence eventually paid off late on with a deserved consolation score from South African flanker Johan Meyer.
Impressive fly-half Ronaldson, who started in place an ill Jack Carty, slotted an early penalty before Connacht notched their opening try against the run of play.
Ronaldson launched a kick chase out of his 22, Berryman failed to deal with the bouncing ball and the onrushing Healy hacked on and picked up to score.
Ronaldson's conversion was cancelled out by an Edoardo Padovani penalty and Connacht absorbed some more Zebre pressure before striking again at the midpoint of the half.
Following a fine aerial take by Danie Poolman, Bundee Aki put boot to ball and Healy did brilliantly to control it and flick it back for Marmion to finish off by the posts.
Australian international scrum half Luke Burgess' brilliant reverse pass over his shoulder released winger Berryman for his converted try.
But Zebre were rocked back onto their heels by prop Andrea Lovotti's sin-binning for obstruction and Ronaldson's well-taken seven-pointer which saw him step inside two defenders.
Buckley plunged over from a maul wide out on the right for try number five, but the remaining half hour was particularly listless with Zebre dictating play and Aki and John Cooney making try-saving interventions.

The Cardiff Blues, who were beaten by the Dragons at the quarter-final stage last year, are the other Welsh representation in the tournament.
New boss Danny Wilson, who will be getting his first taste of European rugby as a head coach, will take the capital region to the Peroni Stadium to face Calvisano on the opening weekend.

Paco Alcacer is desperate to seize his opportunity for Spain when they travel to face Ukraine in their final Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday.
The Valencia striker scored twice in a 4-0 win over Luxembourg on Friday, a result which guaranteed the European champions' place in France next year, but both David Silva and Alvaro Morata were forced off with ankle and leg injuries respectively.
With Diego Costa having been left out of the latest squad, Alcacer is now determined to make the most of his playing time in Vicente del Bosque's side as he looks to build some consistency at international level.
"We're happy to reach the finals, but that's tempered by the first-half injuries. Hopefully they can be with the group soon," he said after the match.
"Obviously forwards live by their goals and the work they can do for the side. Lately things weren't going too well for me, but this will help me get better and carry on with the Spain national side."
Spain lifted their second successive European Championship crown at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev in 2012 and Santi Cazorla knows it will be an emotional return to the venue on Monday.
"We won the Euros in Kiev. It brings back some spectacular memories. I'm sure it will be very nice," said the Arsenal star.
Del Bosque could experiment with his side given that Spain have already won Group C, though Cesc Fabregas is expected to start on what will be his 100th senior international appearance, while Silva and Morata will definitely miss out.
Ukraine, meanwhile, have been handed a lifeline after Slovakia's surprise defeat to Belarus and could still snatch an automatic qualifying spot if they better the result of Jan Kozak's side, who face Luxembourg.
Serhiy Sydorchuk and Yevhen Khacheridi will both miss out due to suspension after they were booked in Friday's 2-0 win away to Macedonia.

It might appear to be almost after the Lord Mayor’s show following the World Cup, but rugby’s European Cup is just over a week away.
The official British and Irish launch of the Champions Cup was held at the Stoop in west London on Wednesday with further official ceremonies planned in France later this week.
Europe has proved a step too far for the Welsh regions in recent years and the Ospreys, Scarlets, Cardiff Blues and Newport Gwent Dragons will once more face a tough test to make the knockout stages.
Leigh Halfpenny’s Toulon are favourites for the Champions Cup crown as they chase a fourth successive top European title.
Wales Online gives you the lowdown with the continental competitions over the next couple of months.

On May 29th, 1985, in Bruxelles was going to be played the most important soccer event in Europe: The final match of the Champions league, between Juventus (IT) and Liverpool (UK). At that time they were by far the most popular and winning teams in Europe.
Liverpool fans were also considered very dangerous and called "hooligans". Thousands of Italian and English fans went to the Heysel stadium, which was unsafe and very old, unfit to host such an important event.
Before the match some of the hooligans began to rush toward sectors occupied by some Italian supporters, as they usually did. But that sector was not occupied by their counterpart, it was packed by families and common supporters.
The Liverpool hooligans, probably high on alcohol, kept on rushing and pushing, while the Belgian police was completely incapable to manage the situation, and the Italian fans began to jam against a wall, trying to escape.
Eventually the wall collapsed, due to the pressure of the Italian fans, leaving 39 dead on the ground, crushed by the crowd beside them. The Policemen were just staring at the tragedy, doing absolutely nothing.
All this took place before the match. The match was not cancelled, Juventus won its first Champion league, in front of 39 dead. Later on, all English football teams were banned for 5 years from any European competition.
