Yeah I think it took him a bit of time to settle into his role, but once he did he was as integral to the team as anyone. I think there's a lot of mutual respect between him and Barcelona.

Seriously he's been amazing for us. Dropped in form defensively since Pique picked back up but still been a godsend in terms of being able to reliably rotate our center backs.

They let people comment anonymously immediately after the announcement. The announcement was that there would be a transition to using real names in the near future, the date of which they kept pushing back but insisting it was a good thing and would still be happening, until they finally got the message and dropped the idea. It took way longer then it should have for them to realize what a bad idea it was.

I realized the second option is nearly impossible, I had tried making it for myself a while back and it gets screwed up because Lewa isn't German. I would say the first squad I said is actually really fun and worth trying, though you could substitute Rodriguez for Iniesta, then swap spots with Modric you'd have a more solid pairing of CMs.

I'm not partial to Kroos but he is the best way to make a Bundesliga hybrid, and the CAM has to be a RM Midfielder, so the other place you have a lot of flexibility is the right CM, which due to Kroos not being great in defense should be someone who can make up for Kroos' lacking, aka Modric.

The other option would be a better formation, a 433(2), but it would require a lot of changes, mostly in the midfield, as you would need Xabi Alonso and Lahm or Schweinsteiger, then probably Lewa up front (I think.)

Especially considering that Pique is too slow to have a H/M work rate if he's not paired with a M/H defender.

Godin is probably a solid choice, Ramos being the obvious best choice if you could afford him. Also I would put Busi at CDM if it doesn't screw up the chem.
