This video shows some of what you can expect your child to be involved with at our school throughout their day. You will see that our students are involved educationally and physically thoughout their day. We begin every day with the Pledge of Allegiance then depending on their special for the day they will walk to either Music, Gym, Library, or Art. In this video you can see both exercise and religion being incorporated into their music class. Morning Calendar is a time when math, shapes, colors and days of the week are reviewed. First thing in the morning, prior to lunch and at the end of the day the students are led in prayer. During this week the students learned about the life of a penguin. To heighten the success of her lesson for all her students,the teacher utilizes a variety of sensory activities. We hope you enjoy this video.

A kindergarten (from German 
Kindergarten (help·info), literally "children's garden") is a preschool educational institution for children. The term was created by Friedrich Fröbel for the play and activity institute that he created in 1837 in Bad Blankenburg as a social experience for children for their transition from home to school. His goal was that children should be taken care of and nourished in "children's gardens" like plants in a garden.
The term kindergarten is used around the world to describe a variety of different institutions that have been developed for children ranging from the ages of two to seven, depending on the country concerned. Many of the activities developed by Fröbel are also used around the world under other names. Singing and growing plants have become an integral part of lifelong learning. Playing, activities, experience, and social interaction are now widely accepted as essential aspects of developing skills and knowledge.
In most countries, kindergartens are part of the preschool system of early childhood education.

ANNUAL MAYOR'S CUP HELPS PRE K SCHOOLS
Over 1,400 runners from around Tuscaloosa came to support Tuscaloosa's pre k initiative at the mayor's cup. The event featured a traditional five k race, as well as a commemorative 10 k race for the tenth year of the Mayor's Cup. There were dozens of sponsors on hand that donated food and beverages for the racers. in year's past, corporate sponsors have also donated money to the initiative. in 2014, Alabama Power donated 14 grants of $10,000 to pre k programs so they could improve the learning environment. According to the Center of Public Education, 40 percent of children are more prepared for kindergarten by age five if they attend a pre k school. The event has raised over $172,000 since it began ten years ago.

Over 1,400 runners from around Tuscaloosa came to support Tuscaloosa's pre k initiative at the mayor's cup.
The event featured a traditional five k race, as well as a commemorative 10 k race for the tenth year of the Mayor's Cup.
There were dozens of sponsors on hand that donated food and beverages for the racers.
in year's past, corporate sponsors have also donated money to the initiative.
in 2014, Alabama Power donated 14 grants of $10,000 to pre k programs so they could improve the learning environment.
According to the Center of Public Education, 40 percent of children are more prepared for kindergarten by age five if they attend a pre k school.
The event has raised over $172,000 since it began ten years ago.
