US Soldiers from the 7th Special Forces Group with Chilean Navy Special Forces training to close quarters combat.
The fighting in enclosed spaces, better known by as close quarters combat (CQC) and close quarters battle (CQB) is a type of combat in which small units face the enemy with personal weapons at very short distance, possibly to the point of reaching the combat or fight with hand weapons like swords or knives . CQC in the typical scenario, attackers attempt violent and very fast assault of a vehicle or structure controlled by the defenders, who usually do not have an easy way to withdraw. Because enemies, hostages / civilians, and co-operation themselves can be closely intertwined, the CQC assault requires rapid and precise application of lethal force. Agents need to have great skill with weapons, but also the ability to make split-second decisions to avoid or limit friendly casualties. The CQC is defined as a conflict of short duration and high intensity, characterized by the sudden violence at close range.

Special forces, or special operations forces are terms used to describe highy-trained military units trained to perform unconventional, often high-risk missions.
Special forces, as they would now be recognised, emerged in the early 20th century, with a significant growth in the field during the Second World War.
Special forces capabilities include the following:
Special forces have played an important role throughout the history of warfare whenever the aim has been to achieve disruption by "hit and run" and sabotage, rather than more traditional conventional army combat. Other significant roles lay in reconnaissance, providing essential intelligence from close to or among the enemy, and increasingly in combating terrorists, their infrastructure and activities.
Chinese strategist Jiang Ziya, in his Six Secret Teachings, describes recruiting talented and highly-motivated men for serving in specialized elite units with such functions as commanding heights and making rapid long-distance advances.Hamilcar Barca in Sicily (249 BC) had specialized troops trained to launch several offensives per day. In the late Roman or early Byzantine period, Roman fleets used small, fast camouflaged ships crewed by selected men for scouting and commando missions. Similarly, Muslim forces also had several naval special operations units, including one which used camouflaged ships to gather intelligence and launch raids, and another which consisted of soldiers who could pass for Crusaders who would use ruses to board enemy ships and then capture and destroy them. While more commonly known as spies and assassins, Japanese ninja were sometimes used as assault troops or fortress guards, or otherwise fought alongside more conventional soldiers. During the Napoleonic wars, rifle and sapper units were formed who held more specialised roles in reconnaissance and skirmishing and were not committed to the formal battle lines.

Sergeant ‘Andy McNab’ DCM MM (born 28 December 1959) is the pseudonym of an English novelist and former SAS operative and soldier.
McNab came into public prominence in 1993, when he published his account of the Special Air Service (SAS) patrol, Bravo Two Zero for which he was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal in 1991. He had previously received the Military Medal in 1980, awarded for an action whilst serving with the Royal Green Jackets in Northern Ireland during 1979.
In addition to Bravo Two Zero he has written two other autobiographies and a number of fiction books.
McNab was born on 28 December 1959. Found abandoned on the steps of Guy's Hospital in Southwark, he was brought up in Peckham, with his adoptive family. He did not do well in school so dropped out and worked at various odd jobs, usually for friends and relatives, and was partly inspired to join the British Army because of his brother's time in the army.
He was involved in petty criminality until being arrested for burglary. In 1976, shortly after his arrest, he aspired to a career as an army pilot, but failed the entry test. In the same year, he enlisted with the Royal Green Jackets at the age of sixteen.

US Soldiers from the 7th Special Forces Group with Chilean Navy Special Forces training to close quarters combat.
The fighting in enclosed spaces, better known by as close quarters combat (CQC) and close quarters battle (CQB) is a type of combat in which small units face the enemy with personal weapons at very short distance, possibly to the point of reaching the combat or fight with hand weapons like swords or knives . CQC in the typical scenario, attackers attempt violent and very fast assault of a vehicle or structure controlled by the defenders, who usually do not have an easy way to withdraw. Because enemies, hostages / civilians, and co-operation themselves can be closely intertwined, the CQC assault requires rapid and precise application of lethal force. Agents need to have great skill with weapons, but also the ability to make split-second decisions to avoid or limit friendly casualties. The CQC is defined as a conflict of short duration and high intensity, characterized by the sudden violence at close range.

" I am an 18 Delta who was traveling on orders (in civilian clothes!) At my connection gate in Charlotte NC, I noticed this PFC in uniform. He had his collar up, a 504th BFSB unit patch with a civilian Fox Tactical patch above it on his left sleeve. I was kind of taken back and actually wanted to find someone else who seemed to be military to confirm what I was seeing. When the flight desk announced First Class and all US military in uniform this guy was the first to get up and board. I notice 3 younger guys at the back of the line who had the "right look", I quietly approached them and asked if they were military, they said yes, Marines.
They said they noticed the guy looked out of place but were not certain because they were Marines. When we arrived in PVD, I waited for him to de plane and called him over. I showed him my CAC so he knew who I was. I confronted him about his disarrayed uniform and asked to see his CAC and asked what unit he was with, he said Fort Bragg. He said he was traveling to RI to get a new CAC.
I played dumb and asked if he just couldn't do that at Bragg, He replied that they don't do that there!!! I then asked him about the fox tactical patch above the unit patch, he said he got that for doing "special training" I replied, "so are you special forces?" he said yes.
I told him that this was his lucky day and told him I was SF, I got physical with him briefly but thankfully restrained myself and took out my phone. The video does not do it justice but i'd like to out this guy! the flight was us airways 1996 from CLT to PVD on 28 august 2015, we arrived in PVD at approx 2223hrs"

I showed him my CAC so he knew who I was. I confronted him about his disarrayed uniform and asked to see his CAC and asked what unit he was with, he said Fort Bragg. He said he was traveling to RI to get a new CAC.
I played dumb and asked if he just couldn't do that at Bragg, He replied that they don't do that there!!! I then asked him about the fox tactical patch above the unit patch, he said he got that for doing "special training" I replied, "so are you special forces?" he said yes.
I told him that this was his lucky day and told him I was SF, I got physical with him briefly but thankfully restrained myself and took out my phone. The video does not do it justice but i'd like to out this guy! the flight was us airways 1996 from CLT to PVD on 28 august 2015, we arrived in PVD at approx 2223hrs"

According to Russian authorities, the militants were offered to surrender but opened fire instead so a firefight errupted wounding one of the security members.
Two militants were then taken out in order of the firefight.

Malian security forces are hunting three suspects connected to the attack on a hotel in the capital, Bamako, on Friday, in which 19 were killed.
Two militants were also killed, after special forces stormed the hotel, freeing dozens of trapped guests.
Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and its affiliate, al-Murabitoun, said they carried out the attack.
President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has declared a 10-day state of emergency and three days of national mourning.
But speaking outside the luxury Radisson Blu hotel a day after it was attacked the president said that the country remained open for business.
"Mali is not and will never be a closed border zone. Paris isn't, Geneva isn't, New York isn't, Moscow isn't," he said.

Gunmen entered the hotel on Friday morning, shooting and driving their vehicle through a security barrier, one eyewitness said.

The exact number of gunmen is also not known. Eyewitnesses said up to 13 entered the hotel shooting, however the company that runs the hotel, Rezidor Group, said on Friday that only two attackers were involved.

Six Russians, all employees of the Volga-Dnepr airline, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement

In October 1944, in the results of Operation Loyton 31 caught SAS commandos were summarily carried out by the Germans.
The Unique Air Service (SAS) is an unit of the British Military started in 1941 as a program, as well as later reconstituted as a corps in 1950. The Unique Air Solution was a device of the British Army during the 2nd Globe Battle, formed in July 1941 by David Stirling and also initially called "L" Detachment, Unique Air Solution Brigade-- the "L" designation and also Air Solution name being a tie-in to a British disinformation project, trying to deceive the Center into believing there was a paratrooper program with many systems operating in the area (the real SAS would 'confirm' to the Axis that the fake one alreadied existing). In April 1943, the 1st SAS was reorganised into the Special Raiding Squadron under Mayne's command and the Unique Watercraft Squadron was positioned under the command of George Jellicoe. The Special Raiding Squadron fought in Sicily and also Italy along with the Second SAS, which had actually been developed in North Africa in 1943 in component by the renaming of the Little Scale Raiding Force.

MALAYSIA GGK Commando: The Grup Gerak Khas (English: Special Service Group) is a special forces regiment of the Malaysian Army which conducts special operations missions for the Malaysian government, such as direct action, unconventional warfare, sabotage, counter-terrorism, and intelligence gathering. It is the administrative and operational group to which the three regiments of the Rejimen Gerak Khas and its supporting units are subordinated.
While the GGK traces its origins to 1965 and the post Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation, they gained fame and recognition worldwide after successfully pacifying a communist insurgency in the jungles of Malaysia during the Communist Insurgency War.
21 Gerup Gerak Khas is commanded by a Brigadier General and is currently located at Iskandar Camp, in Mersing, Johor comprising 11 Gerak Khas Regiment tasked to counter-terrorism, 21 Commando Regiment and 22 Commando Regiment. The three regiments' tasks are guerrilla/anti-guerrilla warfare, escape and evasion, subversion, sabotage, counter terrorism, asymmetric warfare and their most highly regarded expertise – jungle warfare.[1]
