I'm curious about the moderation policies. It's an opaque process so you never know which comments fail to get through for technical reasons. If they are received, you never know why some are published and some are not.
Certainly the selection of articles is unbalanced. Usually the only articles by atheists are ones highlighting conflict between atheists, or atheists criticising other atheists. Occasionally Alain de Botton will be allowed to say something innoccuous. Russel Blackford's last contribution was part of a debate with a theist, so it didn't shift the balance back. Depending on how you count the census numbers, the unreligious are Australia's biggest "denomination" (you have to add in "Jedi" and "not answered" to beat the major Christian brands). One could construct an argument that the ABC Religion and Ethics web site does not adhere to the ABC Charter. Quote:
