    This is a CHILD reported struck here trying to cross the road from his school bus-stop on an artery road where there is no crosswalk. If you live in this area, please contact 311 to request a safe crossing and your councillor Patty Cuttell, who will be sympathetic

    "Kids of all ages get off the metro transit here after school. While they are waiting for a gap in traffic to cross, it can be scary as some cars speed through here and others just don’t slow down. Yesterday a little boy was hit and injured pretty badly"

    Seniors need to be able to walk where they live. And they need to do it safely. This situation is unacceptable.

    In chronological order from most recent to January 2018 the previous eleven pedestrian fatality victims in Halifax were age 75, 68, 73, 66, 69, 63, 57, 62, 60, 63 and 62. This is sickening. Yet Councillors can only increase the budget for residential street traffic calming.
