Three attorneys and two newsmen met in Jack Rubys appartment in Oak Cliff sunday evening, November 24th 1963, after Ruby shot Lee Harvey Oswald. Bill Hunter, Long Beach Independent Press Telegram and Jim Koethe, Dallas Times Herald interviewed George Senator. Also there was the attorney Tom Howard. Earlier that day Senator and Howard had both visited Jack Ruby in jail. That evening Senator arranged for Koethe, Hunter and Howard to search Ruby's apartment. What happened in the appartment and what did they see or find?

1964 - The defense in the Jack Ruby murder trial pulls a maneuver designed to disqualify most Texas jurors. They subpoena a juror as a witness -- saying that anyone who saw Ruby allegedly murder Lee Harvey Oswald on television witnessed the deed and they would challenge all of them. To a roar of protest from the defense the judge overrules the stratagem of the defense and selecting the jury continues.... Jean Hill and Mary Moorman were standing on Elm Street when the presidents limousine passed by. Moorman was standing on grass about 2 feet south of the south curb of Elm Street in Dealey Plaza, directly across from the grassy knoll and the North Pergola concrete structure that Abraham Zapruder and his assistant Marilyn Sitzman were standing on during the assassination. Moorman was standing only 20 feet behind and to the left of President Kennedy with her friend, Jean Hill, and they are clearly seen in the Zapruder film. Between Zapruder film frames Z-315 and 316, approximately 1/6th second after President Kennedy's head was shattered at frame Z-313, Moorman captured a Polaroid photograph (her fifth that day) of the presidential limousine and President Kennedy that also includes the grassy knoll area.

In 1949, Curtis LeMay was appointed as head of Strategic Air Command (SAC) and is credited with overseeing its transformation into a modern air force. LeMay was appointed Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force in July 1957, serving until 1961 when he was made the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. In this post he clashed repeatedly with President John F. Kennedy and his Secretary of Defence, Robert McNamara.

Caroline Kennedy's pony, Macaroni, was a present from Lyndon Johnson. Macaroni roamed freely around the White House grounds and received thousands of fan letters from the American public. Caroline also had a famous dog named Pushinka, who was given to her by the head of the Soviet Union, Nikita Khrushchev.

The memorial was dedicated by Queen Elizabeth II in May, 1965. Jacqueline Kennedy, John Jr., Caroline, Robert and Edward Kennedy were all present for the ceremony. As a major part of the dedication, the Queen handed over one acre of land containing the memorial to then-Secretary of State Dean Rusk. It became American soil to symbolize the close association between the UK and the US The site is truly awe-inspiring - very peaceful - and it contains several elements not to be missed: The memorial site itself was designed by famed landscape artist Geoffrey A. Jellicoe. Sculptor Alan Collins inscribed text on a 7-ton block of Portland white stone that is the highlight of the memorial. The stone is from the same quarry that provided material for St. Paul's Cathedral more than 300 years ago. On the stone is the dedication "This acre of English Ground was Given to the United States of America by the People of Britain in Memory of John F. Kennedy." Also inscribed are his birth and death dates and a passage from his 1961 inaugural address. Getting to the memorial stone is an impressive part of the experience. Visitors first pass through a wicket gate leading to a set of steps and a stone path. The design is based on the theme of John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress - life, death and spirit. The path has more than 60000 granite stones representing the multitude of pilgrims (people of the US) and winds gently up a small hill. The surface is rough, representing life's challenges. Part of this home movie was made on October 27, 1963, and shows President John F. Kennedy and Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy at the Kennedy's vacation retreat in Middleburg, Virginia. Footage from September 1963. Walter Cronkite and Kennedy sitting on the front lawn of a home Kennedy rented on nearby Squaw island. The "Kennedy compound" home was not large enough for news crews and White House staff and, the US Secret Service thought the island location was a better spot for protection. The home he rented was called "Brambletyde"

Planning for the building of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum began in December 1963, in the sad days following the death of President Kennedy. From the start, it was the dream of Jacqueline Kennedy that the library would be a place where people could search for historic truth, learn more about politics and government, and reflect on the need to serve the public in some way. Many witnesses saw more than one man on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository and several heard more than three shots. Velma, 85 years old, telling about seeing a gunman running out of the TSBD. Neither his appearance nor gun matched that of Oswald's. She kept quiet for many years to protect her family.
