Total War Rome 2 Gameplay Commentary - Sparta Campaign Walkthrough Part 36 - War with Scordisci
Looks like we just got ourselves into another war. In other news, I finally figured out how to make trade agreements! In this series I will be playing Total War Rome 2 (aka Rome Total War 2) as the Greek City state Sparta (And its amazing Spartan Hoplites). Sparta is one of the playable factions from the Greek States Culture Pack. This pack was free with a pre-order of the game. It can now be purchased for about $7.99 on the Steam store as DLC. This pack also includes Athens and Epirus as playable factions. Sparta is located on the Greek Peninsula along with Epirus and Athens. Athens is neutral with Sparta while Epirus is immediately an enemy of Sparta. I hope to conquer everything near me, including (eventually) Rome / Roma. However, first I must "unite" the Greek City-States, conquer/befriend Macedonia, and finally work my way towards Rome itself. What is Total War Rome II? The award-winning Total War series returns to Rome, setting a brand new quality benchmark for Strategy gaming. Become the world's first superpower and command the Ancient world's most incredible war machine. Dominate your enemies by military, economic and political means. Your ascension will bring both admiration and jealousy, even from your closest allies. Will you suffer betrayal or will you be the first to turn on old friends? Will you fight to save the Republic, or plot to rule alone as Emperor? Plan your conquest of the known world in a massive sandbox turn-based campaign mode (supporting additional 2-player cooperative & competitive modes). Conspiracies, politics, intrigue, revolts, loyalty, honour, ambition, betrayal. Your decisions will write your own story. Build vast armies and take to the battlefield in real-time combat mode. Put your tactical skills to the test as you directly control tens of thousands of men clashing in epic land and sea battles. Play for the glory of Rome as one of three families or take command of a huge variety of rival civilisations -- each offers a notably different form of gameplay experience with hundreds of unique units from siege engines and heavy cavalry to steel-plated legionaries and barbarian berserkers. See exotic ancient cities and colossal armies rendered in incredible detail, as jaw-dropping battles unfold. Detailed camera perspectives allow you to see your men shout in victory or scream in pain on the frontline, while a new tactical cam allows a god's eye view of the carnage to better inform your strategic decisions. Extremely scalable experience, with gameplay and graphics performance optimised to match low and high-end hardware alike.- published: 14 Oct 2013

Sorry for the break in uploads, I got caught up in some other stuff. Hey everybody! SplittingMnut here with another episode of TDS Plays: Rome 2 Total War (Sparta). This time we expand the empire's borders and add to our enemies. Delmatae bring in the Scordisci to help in their fight, and Sparta brings in all of her allies. Sparta quickly takes Epidamnos from the Delmatae and sets two of her most glorious armies toward the Scordisci capital. This series is brought to you by the Dijon Sandwich Podcast. Niš ukratko
Niš is the largest city of southern Serbia. It is one of the oldest cities in the Balkans and Europe, and has from ancient times been considered a gateway between the East and the West.[3] It was named Navissos by the Scordisci in 279 BC, after an invasion of the Balkans. The city was among several taken in the Roman conquest in 75 BC; the Romans built the Via Militaris in the 1st century, with Naissus being one of its key towns; it is also the birthplace of Constantine the Great, the first Christian Emperor and the founder of Constantinople, and Constantius III and Justin I. It is home to one of the oldest churches in Serbia, dating to the 4th century, located in the suburb of Mediana. Niš is one of the most important industrial centers in Serbia, a center of electronics industry (see Elektronska Industrija Niš), industry of mechanical engineering, textile and tobacco industry. Constantine the Great Airport is its international airport. In 2013 the city will host the celebration of 1700 years of Constantine's Edict of Milan.- published: 09 Dec 2013
