The boosters have been in the game for a while now, and the developers never promised that only cosmetics would be paid, this is taking things out of context. They said new story content, updates and characters wouldn't be paid.

It normally runs fine on PS4 and PS5. Even the base PS4 runs surprisingly well.
I just finished the Mega Hive gauntlet this morning after the update on PS5 and had no issues, so I guess I'm just lucky.
It’s backwards compatible for Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X, so there’s still a way to play it on one modern console at least.

Play the PS4 version on PS5. The next-gen upgrade isn’t the jump you get from say Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or NBA 2K. Just a more stable frame rate and higher resolution on a game that doesn’t really push the next-gen hardware anyway.
With Rhodey, Howard was only in The first movie of the entire MCU, where recasting was fairly easy. Boseman being in 4 movies and owning the role, especially as a lead in one of the films, it’s a lot harder to recast like Howard and Norton. Plus those two actors specifically were supposedly difficult to work with (Norton’s a diva and Howard demanded more money despite being paid more than the lead on the first film).

Cool idea, but it sounds like you're suggesting Xbox just copies Sony by picking a hero that's fairly similar to Spider-Man (your whole description is basically summed up to "like Spider-Man"). You do realize this is just the first 30 minutes of the game right? Part of game design is to allow you to learn the mechanics as you gradually build up. Why would they throw the most menacing enemies at you from the beginning? That’s like playing Super Mario Bros. dealing with Bloopers and Hammer Bros. as the first villains instead of a Goomba.
