Quotes:
Elizabeth: Captain Barbossa , I am here to negotiate the cessation of hostilities against Port Royal .::Barbossa: There are a lot of long words in there, Miss; we're naught but humble pirates. What is it that you want?::Elizabeth: I want you to leave and never come back.::Barbossa: I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request. Means "no".::Elizabeth: Very well. I'll drop it. [dangles medallion over the sea]::Barbossa: Me holds are burstin' with swag. That bit of shine matters to us? Why?::Elizabeth: It's what you've been searching for. I recognized the ship. I saw it eight years ago on the crossing from England .::Barbossa: Did ya, now?::Elizabeth: Fine. Well, I suppose if it is worthless then there's no point in me keeping it. [it drops a bit, the pirates lunge forward]::Barbossa: No! Ah. [chuckles] You have a name, Missy?::Elizabeth: Elizabeth... Turner. I'm a maid in the Governor's household.::Barbossa: Miss Turner...? [turns to face the pirates]::Pintel: Bootstrap.::Barbossa: And how does a maid come to own a trinket such as that? Family heirloom, perhaps?::Elizabeth: I didn't steal it, if that's what you mean.::Barbossa: Very well, you hand it over and we'll put your town to our rudder and ne'er return.::Elizabeth: [she hands it over] Our bargain? [Barbossa walks away from her]::Bo'sun: Still the guns and stow 'em, Signal the men, set the flags and make good to clear port.::Elizabeth: Wait! You have to take me to shore. According to the Code of the Order of the Brethren...::Barbossa: First, your return to shore was not part of our negotiations nor our agreement so I must do nothing. And secondly, you must be a pirate for the pirate's code to apply and you're not. And thirdly, the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner .
Barbossa: You're supposed to be dead!::Jack Sparrow: Am I not?
Murtogg: This dock is off-limits to civilians.::Jack Sparrow: I'm terribly sorry, I didn't know. If I see one, I shall inform you immediately.::[Jack makes to continue but is blocked by Murtogg and Mullroy]::Jack Sparrow: Apparently there's some sort of high-toned and fancy to-do up at the fort, eh? How could it be that two upstanding gentlemen, such as yourselves, did not merit an invitation?::Murtogg: Someone's got to make sure that this dock stays off-limits to civilians.::Jack Sparrow: It's a fine goal, to be sure. But it seems to me... that a ship like that one, makes this one here seem a bit superfluous, really.::Murtogg: Oh, the Dauntless is the power in these waters, true enough. But there's no ship as can match the Interceptor for speed.::Jack Sparrow: I've heard of one, supposed to be very fast, nigh uncatchable: The Black Pearl.::Mullroy: Well, there's no real ship as can match the Interceptor.::Murtogg: The Black Pearl is a real ship.::Mullroy: No, it's not.::Murtogg: Yes it is, I've seen it.::Mullroy: You've seen it?::Murtogg: Yes.::Mullroy: You haven't seen it.::Murtogg: Yes, I have.::Mullroy: You've seen a ship with black sails that's crewed by the damned, and captained by a man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out?::Murtogg: No.::Mullroy: No.::Murtogg: But I have seen a ship with black sails.::[Jack quietly slips passed them unnoticed]::Mullroy: Oh, and no ship that's not crewed by the damned and captained by a man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out could possibly have black sails, therefore couldn't possibly be any other ship than the Black Pearl. Is that what you're telling me?::Murtogg: [nods] No.::Mullroy: Like I said, there's no real ship as can match the Interceptor.
[the other prisoners are whistling and calling for the dog with the keys in his mouth]::Jack Sparrow: You can keep doing that forever, the dog is NEVER going to move.::Seedy Looking Prisoner: Well excuse me if we haven't resorted ourselves to the gallows just yet.
Murtogg: What we doin' 'ere?::Mullroy: The pirates come out, unprepared and unawares. We catch 'em in a crossfire... send 'em down to see Old Hob.::Murtogg: I know *why* we're here. I mean, why aren't we doin' what - what Mr. Sparrow said? With the cannons and all?::Norrington: Because it was Mr. Sparrow who said it.::Murtogg: [short pause; he turns to Mullroy] You don't think 'e was tellin' the truth?
Pintel: [Pintel and Ragetti burst into the room] We know you're here, Poppet.::Ragetti: Poppet.::Pintel: Come out... and we promise we won't hurt you.::Ragetti: Eh?::Pintel: [smiles at Ragetti] We will find you, Poppet. You've got something of ours, and it calls to us. The gold calls to us.::Ragetti: Gold calls...::Pintel: [opens door of the closet] 'Ello, Poppet.::Elizabeth: Parlay!::Ragetti: What?::Elizabeth: Parlay. I invoke the right of parlay. According to the Code of the brethren, set down by the pirates Morgan and Bartholomew , you have to take me to your Captain.::Pintel: I know the code.::Elizabeth: If an adversary demands parlay you can do them no harm until the parlay is complete.::Ragetti: To blazes with the code.::Pintel: She wants to be taken to the Captain. And she'll go without a fuss. We must honor the Code.
Will Turner: Barbossa, you lying bastard! You swore she'd go free!::Barbossa: Don't dare impugn me honor, boy! I agreed she go free, but it was you who failed to specify when or where. Though it does seem a shame to lose somethin' so fine, don't it, lads?::The Crew: Aye.::Barbossa: So I'll be havin' that dress back before ye go.::Jack Sparrow: I always liked you.::Bo'sun: Grr...::Elizabeth: Goes with your black heart.::Barbossa: Ooh, it's still warm.::The Crew: Off you go! Come on! Get on with it!::Bo'sun: Too long!::Jack Sparrow: I really rather hoped we were past all this.::Barbossa: Jack... Jack! Did you not notice? That be the same island we made you the governor of on our last little trip.::Jack Sparrow: I did notice.::Barbossa: Perhaps you'll conjure up another miraculous escape, but I doubt it. Off you go.::Jack Sparrow: The last time you left me a pistol with one shot.::Barbossa: By the powers, you're right. Where be Jack's pistol? Bring it forward.::Jack Sparrow: Seeing as there's two of us, a gentleman would give us a pair of pistols.::Barbossa: It'll be one pistol as before, and you can be the gentleman and shoot the lady; and starve to death yourself.
Barbossa: For too long I've been parched of thirst and unable to quench it. Too long I've been starving to death and haven't died. I feel nothing. Not the wind on my face nor the spray of the sea. Nor the warmth of a woman's flesh.::[steps into moonlight becoming a skeleton]::Barbossa: You best start believing in ghost stories, Miss Turner... you're in one!
Grapple: Say goodbye.::[a sign swings down and hits Grapple through a shop window]::Will Turner: Goodbye.
Town Clerk: Jack Sparrow.::Jack Sparrow: Captain... Captain Jack Sparrow.::Town Clerk: ...for your willful commission of crime against the crown. Those crimes being numerous in quantity and sinister in nature...::Elizabeth: This is wrong...::Governor Swann: Commodore Norrington is bound by the law, as are we all.::Town Clerk: ...impersonating an officer of the Royal Navy; impersonating a clergy of the Church of England...::Jack Sparrow: Oh yeah, heh heh::Town Clerk: ...arson; kidnapping; perjury; piracy; pilfering; deprivation of a Federal Loyalist. For these crimes you will be hung by the neck until dead. May God have mercy on your soul.

Things to do in Edinburgh Scotland Travel Guide and Top Attractions
Edinburgh, a city that is often mispronounced by first time visitors, was the first city we visited on our adventure tour around Scotland. Flying in all the way from Bangkok to visit Edinburgh for the New Year's Celebration of Hogmany was a fitting way for us to end 2013 and celebrate 2014. Having had a taste of Europe earlier on in the year in the form of visiting Finland, Estonia and Bulgaria we

Having had a taste of Europe earlier on in the year in the form of visiting Finland, Estonia and Bulgaria we were thrilled to have the opportunity to come and visit Scotland's culture capital (Edinburgh) for the first time during the most festive time of the year. Arriving a few days before Hogmanay, we spent our mornings, afternoons and evenings trying to explore as much of Edinburgh as we possibly could. As a very pedestrian friendly city – with most of its main attractions located in the downtown core – we found ourselves wandering around aimlessly for hours on end marveling at the magnificent castles, old architecture and Christmas themed markets. To escape the winter chills we'd often pop into local pops to down some warm drinks and devour a plate of savory Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. To satisfy our sweet tooth, we tried eating a deep-fried Mars bar for the first time. For those unacquainted, basically it is just a chocolate bar dipped in batter and then deep fried in a chipper. It comes out all melted and gooey, which actually enhances its tastes considerably; however, at the cost of taking something already unhealthy and making it far less nutritionally viable. As a side trip we checked out the Looney Dook, where a bunch of mad men, women and children dash like crazy – wearing ridiculous costumes – into the freezing cold waters of the Firth of Forth. Finally, for a bit of downtime, we relaxed in our hotel room and gave ourselves the challenge of eating all kinds of different Scottish food and cuisine for the first time. Some of the most distinct things we tried included Irn Bru, Tablet and Scottish Whisky. Overall, our time in Edinburgh was brilliant and the following is a top attractions travel guide offering a snapshot of the best things to do in Edinburgh, Scotland during your next vacation to this world class city that is home to some of the most fascinating and quirky festivals.

Visiting the Scottish capital, Edinburgh? Here is a list of 10 things you'll need to know. You'll first need to be aware of the stark contrast between the old and new towns. The new town offers shopping and modern construction, while the old town provides cobbled streets and markets to find, each with a story to tell - in some cases a haunting one for those of you who are ghost hunters
Scotland is rich in history and there could be no better place to demonstrate that history than Edinburgh. At every possible turn there are grand buildings and castles; for example Edinburgh Castle, featuring St Margaret's chapel which is the castle's oldest surviving building and The Scottish National War Memorial.
Visit several free museums such as The Writers' Museum, The Museum of Edinburgh, The National Museum of Scotland and The National Gallery. Take a stroll down the Royal Mile, starting at Edinburgh castle and ending at The Canongate, taking in the sights along the way. Check out the suburbs of Leith where you can find the find the Royal Yacht Britannia. Indulge in traditional Haggis, enjoy an Edinburgh Fringe Festival, go on a ghost hunting tour, witness a breathtaking view of the city from Arthur's Seat and a great deal more.
Shopping, indulging in history, exploring, eating, partaking in social events, there's something for everyone.

Vacation travel video about destination Edinburgh in Scotland.
In the centre of the old town, Edinburgh Castle sits atop the basalt cone of a long-extinct volcano. It is the most visited castle in Scotland and still guarded by soldiers but it is now mainly tourists who storm the defiant rock. Northumbrian king, Edwin, commanded the castle to be built in the seventh century A.D., the "castle on the hill", Edinburgh. The Royal Mile leads from the mighty fortress, downwards, a sloping road from which narrow streets branch off. Just off the upper Royal Mile is the church and cemetery of Greyfriars with its many historical and atmospheric tombs. Its cemetery became well known due to two Irishmen who exhumed newly-buried corpses in 1827 in order to sell them to the local anatomical institute. The Royal Mile eventually narrows and ends at the Palace Of Holyrood House, official Scottish residence of the British Queen. The East Princes Street Gardens are the city’s green paradise with large trees, well-manicured lawns and the massive Sir Walter Scott Monument. This city of poets and culture is one of the oldest urban regions in Europe... and home of the Scottish nation.

Edinburgh - Scotland Travel Guide http://goo.gl/AeX8IX
ادنبرغ has inspired poets, artists and philosophers for hundreds of years, yet it is very much a city of the 21st century too.
Edinburgh has everything: high culture and haute couture, stand-up comedy and country walks, and of course Edinburgh Castle, perched on its volcanic crag overlooking the medieval buildings of the Old Town and the magnificent Georgian architecture of the New Town. Together, they make up the UNESCO-listed World Heritage site. Better still, Edinburgh's compact size means the city's main sites are easily explored on foot. Nevertheless, plans for a new tram link from the airport to the city from May 2014 will be welcomed by visitors.
Beyond the New Town, the Water of Leith flows through the picturesque Dean Village and on via pretty Stockbridge, where young professionals sustain a tempting assortment of delis, quirky shops and cosy pubs. At the heart of nearby leafy Inverleith's century-old mansions is the renowned Royal Botanic Garden, an Edinburgh institution. Further east, Historic Leith, home to the Royal Yacht Britannia, has been transformed from seedy port into highly desirable residence, with flashy apartments and acclaimed restaurants.
Edinburgh's cosmopolitan air and vibrancy has credited Scotland's capital city with the kind of panache and attitude that you'd expect only of London. This vibe is enshrined in Edinburgh's annual international festivals calendar. Every August, the city fills with visitors anxious to catch the rising stars of the comedy circuit; hear their favourite authors read from their books; or immerse themselves in the classical music and challenging theatre of the Edinburgh International Festival.
Don't be fooled into thinking Edinburgh falls into a slumber for the rest of the year however. In early spring, legions of rugby fans descend on the city as Scotland vies to win the Six Nations trophy; you can hear the roar from Murrayfield from miles around. Over Easter, the Edinburgh International Science Festival is jam-packed with inspirational discussions and hands-on fun, while The Royal Highland Show in June showcases Scotland's finest produce. Edinburgh lights up in winter with an illuminated big wheel, bustling German Christmas market and open-air ice rink in Princes Street Gardens. Finally at Hogmanay, revellers cram into the centre to bring in the New Year with big-name bands, a rocking ceildih, gigantic street party and spectacular fireworks.
Beyond its myriad festivals, Edinburgh encompasses an enormous array of experiences: discovering dinosaurs in the renovated National Museum of Scotland or following in the footsteps of Mary Queen of Scots at the Palace of Holyroodhouse; joining a spooky tour through the narrow Old Town closes or climbing craggy Arthur's Seat; sinking a pint in a 17th-century pub or sipping mojitos in a chic George Street bar; and shopping for tartan or splashing out on designer gear at Harvey Nichols.
Edinburgh has given birth to a multitude of great fictional works from such luminaries as Robert Louis Stevenson and Sir Walter Scott to current bestselling novelists Ian Rankin and Alexander McCall Smith. Such a rich literary culture led to Edinburgh becoming the world's first ever UNESCO City of Literature in 2004.
Endowed with such credentials, Scotland's capital is worth visiting time and time again.

Whoever travels to Scotland, meets a beautiful and rich country, rich in beauty and history.
The majestic castles greet the visitor in every corner of the country. Witnesses of time ago which remind one rather of plays and dramas, such as Shakespeare or Macbeth which are the most famous example of it.
Some parts of Scotland rank among the most thinly settled areas of Europe and offer the possibility of experiencing nearly undisturbed landscapes.
Whether lonely lighthouses or postcard picture church ruins, Scotland should be traveled in peace and with time, in order to absorb the un-comparable impressions, of nature and architect, it has to offer.

Scotland, is a country I've wanted to visit for years, and I finally was able to turn that into reality last year when I visited for the first time to take in the New Year's celebrations of Hogmanay in Edinburgh. As one of the most negotiable cities on foot that I've ever visited, Audrey and pounded the pavement marveling at the architecture, impressive castles and winter carnival events in the downtown area. When we need to warm up we popped into pubs to gormandize on Haggis, Neeps and Tatties while washing it down with a Hot Toddy. When we were in the mood for something a bit sweeter we decided to try a deep-fried Mars bar – a Scottish specialty. Although disgustingly unhealthy (essentially this a chocolate bar covered in batter and deep-fried) it tasted delicious and it ten times better than having a chocolate bar on its own. When we weren't trying Scottish Cuisine or wandering aimlessly down narrow streets, we decided to take a few day trips to check out other events and attractions. Our favorite being Loony Dook where a group of mad men, women and children wearing Halloween type costumes ran full steam ahead into the freezing cold Firth of Forth.
The true highlight of our time in Scotland was having the opportunity to explore the Scottish Highlands (including the Isle of Skye) with Haggis Adventure Tours. This road trip allowed highlighted some of the most scenic areas of the entire country where we couldn't put down our cameras.
When we weren't traveling we spent our time sampling as much Scottish food as we possibly could including a taste test of Irn Bru, Ginger Beer, Tablet, Haggis flavored chips, Scottish chocolate and Scottish Whiskey and more.
The following is a top attractions travel guide offering a snapshot of the best things to do in Scotland during your next vacation to one of my favorite countries in all of Europe.

Ready for an adventure? Click play on our travel guide video to uncover some of the best things to do in Syndey, Australia.
Established in 1788 as a penal colony, Sydney was once a little rough around the edges, but it has since transformed into a must-visit coastal destination. Today, tourists flock to this city on the east coast of Australia for its pristine beaches, coves, and harbors.
During your romp around the scenic coastline, make a stop at the Syndey Opera House and eye its magnificent architectural design. Looking for a little more adventure? Venture over to the Syndey Harbour Bridge, nicknamed “The Coathanger,” and brave a bridge climb tour. Next, hop on the antique thrill rides at Luna Park, which is a family-friendly favorite that dates back to 1935, or saunter around Darling Harbour. Meanwhile, if you’d prefer to make a splash, dive into the waves at Bondi Beach or hang ten at nearby Manly Beach.
Dabble in the city’s history, architecture, and beach towns, and embark on several Sydney tours during your next trip to the capital of New South Walves. To jump-start your adventure and get more tips and ideas on how to spend your Sydney sojourn, check out our travel guide video.

As much as I loved being in Edinburgh for Hogmany, the true highlight of my time in Scotland was touring the Scottish Highlands with Haggis Adventure Tours. Our charismatic guide, Dave, double as both a bus driver and tour guide. With his long ginger beard and charismatic storytelling we learned in depth about each place we visit along our tour including personal stories and anecdotes you wouldn't find by looking any of this up on wikipedia. Overall, we had an opportunity to really experience the true rugged nature of Northern Scotland where we experienced all three distinct days of weather: sunny, torrential rains and winds and just a normal rainy day. Usually, I'm more of an independent type of traveler but this tour was exceptional and I'd recommend it to anyone who is considering visiting this part of Scotland.
