http://www.expedia.com/Liverpool-and-vicinity.d6046241.Destination-Travel-Guides
Rising from the coastal plains of West Lancashire, Liverpool’s fortunes have been tied to the ocean for over 800 years. Once England’s gateway to the world, the enormous wealth that trade brought into the city was ploughed back into the city’s skyline.
In the heart of Liverpool, by the banks of the city’s beloved river, is Pier Head. Wander across this floating pier, where the excitement and teary farewells of Transatlantic steamship passengers once filled the air. Behind Pier Head, rises Liverpool’s crown, The Three Graces. These three buildings stand as a testament to both Liverpool’s former trading might, and the city’s eternal love of beauty.
Upriver from Pier Head, is the Albert Docks. Once packed with goods such as brandy, tea, ivory and tobacco, today the docks are the storehouses of many of the city’s historic treasures.
Explore Liverpool’s oceangoing past, from the ages of sail, to Titanic stories of loss and sacrifice at the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Next door, the acclaimed International Slavery Museum is a sobering reminder that the bricks of Liverpool were mortared with the blood and sweat of Africa.
The UK’s premier art intuition, the Tate, exhibits works from the national collection here at its northern home by the Mersey.
Climb aboard the Yellow Submarine and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Fab Four across the dock at The Beatles Story. Continue your Magical Mystery Tour down the stairs at 10 Matthew Street. In the early 1960s, The Beatles performed at Cavern Club almost 300 times.
Liverpool is England’s most successful footballing city. At Anfield Road Stadium, stand before the statue of the Liverpool manager who uttered the immortal words, “Football is not a matter of life or death,…it’s far, far more important than that.”
Welcome to Liverpool, where each day is a voyage into a spectacular past, and a bright bold future as well.

Travel video about destination The Dingle Peninsula in Ireland.
The Dingle Peninsula in the southwest of Ireland is well known as one of the country’s most scenic locations. It is also a region with a fascinating history and the origin of its villages and farms date back to Early Christian and even prehistoric times. The fifteen hundred inhabitants of tiny Dingle Town have for generations been closely associated with the sea. Although today’s fishing industry is not what it once was, the fishing harbour still plays a vital role in the lives of the local people. Due to tourism the pubs of Dingle Town are kept well busy, however, compared with other parts of Ireland tourism here is a far more subdued affair. In Dingle Town in 1984 a dolphin appeared just off the coast and it accompanied the fishing boats into the harbour and indeed it still does and the Dingle Dolphin is now a well known attraction on this part of the coast. The Dunbeg Fort originated in the Bronze Age. Archaeology has shown that it dates back to the eighth century B.C. The magnificent location of the fortress hundreds of metres above the thundering sea and mighty cliffs make the visit to Dunbeg Fort a dramatic adventure. Close to Fahan is a large group of Beehive Huts, ancient circular buildings that date back to the Last Ice Age. According to archaeologists further buildings were erected in early Christian times. Its mysterious prehistoric and early Christian monuments as well as the beauty of its landscape have given the Dingle Peninsula the magic that has rightly made The Emerald Isle famous throughout the world!

Complete Half Hour Program - Meet the locals as the Overlander travels around Tasmania
Travel Tasmania seeing it's top destinations through the eyes of the locals. Stories include:
Rob Pennicott and his artist wife Michaye live an idyllic family life on Bruny Island. Surrounded by nature and a bountiful sea, Bruny appears to be paradise, but as Rob suggests, may not be for everyone. I also discuss the sad history of Truganini, the last full blooded Tasmanian Aborigine.
In Hobart I interview Sudanese musician Ajak Kwai about her experience living in Tasmania.
Formation of the Australian Greens Political Party. I take a flight to the South West Wilderness area of Tasmania, learning about Critchley Parker Junior, an ill fated explorer who hoped to form a new Jewish State in the region. I also interview Senator Bob Brown, leader of the world's first Greens Political Party.
This action packed video is three stories packed into one. First I feature archival footage from the seminal Franklin River campaign, then I investigate the Facial Tumor Disease effecting the wild Tasmanian Devil Population, and finally I do a story on Port Arthur, an historic convict colony where I interview guide Laura Leeworthy, do their ghost tour and film a Ghost!!
Fishing for Trout in Tasmania offers anglers some of the most remote Lake Fishing in the world. I interview Janice Spencer about the Land of 3,000 Lakes. Janice was the first female angler ever accepted for an Australian competition Fly Fishing Team.
Tasmania has some of the biggest cold water surf breaks in the world. I visit Marrawah on the north west corner, a location renowned for it's year round surf. I interview 16 yr old local Zak Grey.
Cruising the winding roads of Tasmania on a Harley Davidson with Simon Richardson. Simon owns the Launceston Harley Davidson Dealership and believes Tasmania offers bikers great touring opportunities, with mountainous roads and free camping. I also visit Stanley, Tasmania's Best Town. Simon rides a 1980 Shovelhead Harley Trike.
For my last Tasmania story I visited Campbelltown's sombre convict brick display and then interviewed an Irish Woman in the Town of National Park, near the Mt Field National Park. Trish Rawlins believes Tasmania is like Ireland before it lost all it's trees.

The 2015 Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) annual conference took place in Jerez, Spain.
http://www.itaa.ie
http://www.spain.info/en_IE/
http://www.travelmedia.ie
Over 100 travel professionals attended the conference entitled ‘Embracing The Future’, where a range of speakers discussed past and future trends, business successes, planning for the future and the all important work life balance.
Opening the conference, Martin Skelly, President of the ITAA said, “The travel industry is a crucial sector in the Irish economy supporting in excess of four thousand jobs right across
the country. The depth of knowledge, expertise, security and unrivalled service which travel agents provide customers is something that cannot be surpassed by online alternatives.
Visiting new destinations is key for us to familiarise ourselves with new destinations for Irish holiday makers. He continued, “We are very much delighted to be guests in this vibrant city midway
between the sea and the mountains. Given the popularity of Spain with Irish holiday makers, it was an obvious choice for our conference, giving Irish travel professionals the opportunity to learn more about the hidden Spain.”
Speakers at the conference included; CEO of Atlas Group and GoHop.ie Stephen McKenna, eCommerce and Digital Marketing expert Juan Cullen, professional trainer of Workplace Wellbeing Sheila O’Malley, European Sales Manager at Aer Lingus, John Keogh, Managing Director of Club Travel Liam Lonergan and expert in retail change Alan O’Neill.
Stephen McKenna, CEO of Atlas Travel Group and GoHop.ie said, “We are living in the digital age of clutter, there are thousands of results on Google for every search. Many might say that this is a threat to travel agents, but in fact it can be their greatest opportunity. People live busy lifestyles and busy people do not want to trawl thousands of results, websites and reviews to book their holiday. This is where people value a good, experienced specialist travel agent who can cut through the clutter and deliver a hassle free service.”
Juan Cullen, eCommerce and Digital Marketing specialist said “Travel is now more accessible than ever before, 80% of flights this year were booked directly by the consumer. To survive
in this market travel agents need to alter their services and provide special experiences that set them apart from the generic. The future of travel agents is in niche, long haul and luxury travel – this is where an agent can really use their knowledge to add value for the customer.
I think we are seeing a shift from ‘travel agent’ to ‘experience agents’.” Liam Lonergan, owner and founder of Club Travel said, “When I started off in this business ‘cheap’ was a dirty word, but now if you don’t use ‘cheap’ ‘low cost’ or ‘best value’ no one
will pay attention. We have to embrace it.” Speaking about the future Lonergan said, “Travel agents need to automate back-end work, people are inefficient at administrative jobs. I have spent years engineering out mistakes through automation. My staff focus on selling which is what they are best at and it’s what
our business is built on, to me, productivity is about shifting the focus to sales”.
Pat Dawson, CEO of the ITAA said, "Jerez is in the province of Cadiz and it acclaimed worldwide for its sherry, fine horses, flamenco music and much more. We would like to thank our Spanish hosts, Turismo Andaluz, The Spanish Tourist Board, the Provincia de Cádiz Convention Bureau (PCCB), Aer Lingus and all of our sponsors for their kind and generous assistance with this important event."
The ITAA represents Ireland's travel Industry, bringing together 100 member companies covering 161 outlets in different towns and cities throughout the Republic of Ireland. ITAA members are licensed by the Commission for Aviation Regulation and are fully bonded providing full financial protection for their customers.

When you plan a trip to Nice, France, you’re in good company: This city has been a tourist destination since at least the 18th century. The European aristocracy often spent their winters in the pleasant climate, with a sunset walk on the shoreline being the highlight of each day.
You can walk in their footsteps—literally—with a stroll down the Promenade des Anglais, which roughly translates to Walkway of the English. On a tour of Nice, you’ll enjoy the mixture of French and Italian culture that permeates the city’s architecture, public art, and yes, the food. Bon appetit!
The residents of Nice love the outdoors, and you will, too, as you explore the Place Massena—the city’s main square, where you can enjoy a snack at a café or do some shopping in its many boutiques. Any Nice sightseeing requires exploration of one of the many open-air markets, where you can pick up fresh produce, local artwork, and French pastries that will leave you wondering why you waited so long to visit.
Cap a perfect day in Nice with a dip in the ocean and a walk along the seashore, watching the sun disappear into the sea.
What are you going to eat while in Nice?
Visit our Nice travel guide page for more information or to plan your next vacation!

Florida is called the „Sunshine State”. Visitors mainly come here to enjoy the sunshine, the sea, the never ending sandy shore of the peninsula and the unique atmosphere of Miami. But of course it is worth to spent time on the landscape-protection areas such as the Everglades National Park and its fen, where they can slalom in between the alligators on hovercrafts. The following sights are also significant: Kennedy Space Centre in Cape Canaveral, the House of Hemingway in Key West, the House of Edison in Fort Myers, the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg and the oldest American fortress – Castillo de San Marcos - in St. Augustine.Orlando is equally the paradise of pleasant relaxation for kids and adults. The characteristic white-walled buildings of Santorini are standing upon each other in a happy disorder. The narrow alleys show us a new miracle at each turn. The top of our house is the other house’s balcony, from where there is a perfect view on the dark blue water of the Aegean Sea. The venetian blinds summon the color of the blue sky, the rows of cubic houses are sometimes broken by a blue-domed temple or a windmill. The balconies are full of geranium. The smell of gyros is in the air, from the cafes we hear the bouzouki, and the sight of the sunset from the taverns is unforgettable. The sun is scorching, one can smell the salty air and hear the seagulls, while down below the white boats sail towards their unknown destination.
