The Trojan Women (Ancient Greek: Τρῳάδες, Trōiades), also known as Troades, is a tragedy by the Greek playwright Euripides. Produced in 415 BC during the Peloponnesian War, it is often considered a commentary on the capture of the Aegean island of Melos and the subsequent slaughter and subjugation of its populace by the Athenians earlier that year (see History of Milos). 415 BC was also the year of the scandalous desecration of the hermai and the Athenians' second expedition to Sicily, events which may also have influenced the author.
The Trojan Women was the third tragedy of a trilogy of dealing with the Trojan War. The first tragedy, Alexandros, was about the recognition of the Trojan prince Paris who had been abandoned in infancy by his parents and rediscovered in adulthood. The second tragedy, Palamedes, dealt with Greek mistreatment of their fellow Greek Palamedes. This trilogy was presented at the Dionysia along with the comedic satyr play Sisyphos. The plots of this trilogy were not connected in the way that Aeschylus' Oresteia was connected. Euripides did not favor such connected trilogies.

Peter Pennoyer FAIA (born on February 19, 1957 in New York City, New York, United States of America) is an award-winning architect and principal of Peter Pennoyer Architects in New York City. Pennoyer, his four partners, and his fifty associates have an international practice in traditional and classical architecture, or New Classical Architecture. Many of the firm's institutional and commercial projects have involved historic buildings, and it is stated by The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America that the firm's strength is for "combining an inventive spirit with an erudite grasp of architectural history." The firm's projects have been widely featured in newspapers, books, and periodicals, including The New York Times,Architectural Digest, Design Times, and House & Garden.
The Vendome Press published a book about the firm in October 2010.
Pennoyer received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Columbia College in 1981 and a Masters of Architecture from Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in 1984.
A contract is a voluntary arrangement between two or more parties that is enforceable at law as a binding legal agreement.
Each contractual party must be a "competent person" having legal capacity. The parties may be natural persons ("individuals") or juristic persons ("corporations"). An agreement is formed when an "offer" is accepted. The parties must have an intention to be legally bound; and to be valid, the agreement must have both proper "form" and a lawful object. In England (and in jurisdictions using English contract principles), the parties must also exchange "consideration" to create a "mutuality of obligation," as in Simpkins v Pays.
A contract is often evidenced in writing or by deed, but a valid contract may (with some exceptions) be made orally or even by conduct. Remedies for breach of contract include "damages" (monetary compensation for loss) and, for serious breaches only, "repudiation" (i.e. cancellation). The equitable remedy of specific performance, enforceable through an injunction, may be available if damages are insufficient.
