    Many sites across western WA have received almost quadruple their monthly average rainfall in just the last week alone! Falls have been very isolated with some sites receiving record rainfalls, while others only a few km away have had nothing.

    Tropical has been upgraded to a category 2 system with wind gusts to 130km/h near the centre. It will continue to move to the southwest before starting to weaken later on Tuesday as the environment becomes less favourable.
