The Holy Trinity Church Complex is an historic church complex on 134 Fuller Avenue in Central Falls, Rhode Island.
The church was a red brick structure built in 1889 to a design by James Murphy in a Gothic Revival style. The campus also includes other Murphy designs, including a rectory (1893), convent (1905), and school (1905), and a parish house designed by Irving Gorman and built in 1925. The complex was built by the Roman Catholic Church within the Diocese of Providence to serve the area's growing Irish immigrant community.
The complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The church itself has since been demolished. The Parish House still stands at 325 Crowden Street as the Segue Institute for Learning. The Parish House still stands and is used as a community center. The former Holy Trinity School is now the Segue Institute for Learning.
Holy Trinity Anglican Church is a historic Carpenter Gothic style Anglican church building located on the banks of the Churchill River in Stanley Mission, a community in the Lac La Ronge First Nation and Lac La Ronge Provincial Park in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Designed by the Rev. Robert Hunt, an English missionary who founded Stanley Mission in 1851 with the permission of the Hudson's Bay Company, it was built between 1854 and 1860 by local Cree craftsmen using locally cut lumber as well as hardware and stained glass that Hunt had brought from England. The church was at one time the centre of an active missionary complex that included nearly 30 supporting buildings and a cemetery. It is currently the oldest standing building in Saskatchewan. Although not the seat of a bishop, it has been called a cathedral because of its massive size with a tall central nave and elaborate spire.
Holy Trinity Anglican Church was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1970. It is also a provincially registered historic site as designated by the government of Saskatchewan on August 26, 1981. A ceremony celebrating the church's 150th anniversary was held on June 10, 2010.
Holy Trinity Church (Slovene: cerkev sv. Trojice) is a historical building in Hrastovlje, a village in southwestern Slovenia. There are two hypotheses about its origin. According to the first, it is a Romanesque church from the 12th century. According to the second, it is an example of the Istrian variant of Early Venetian Renaissance architecture from the 15th century. The church stands behind a wall that the local population built to protect itself from Turkish attacks in the 16th century. Such defensive architectures are found throughout the territory settled by Slovenians and are called tabor.
The church and wall were built on bare rock, and for this reason do not have deep foundations. The church is built mostly out of stone, as is typical for the entire coastal region. The stones were never entirely covered in an outer layer of plaster, and it is thus possible to see how the church was built. One can see that top of the church spire was rebuilt at some time, although it is not known why. The church is topped with tiles made of thick plates. These are characteristic for older roofs in the Mediterranean region.
The vision pours of purple and red
And there she lay, bleeding in her bed
No regrets or prayers in her head
But she wonders what she now has fed
[Pre-chorus:]
Godfearing she loved her cross
A soul enwrapped with light
But flesh can be a demanding spirit
Bringing her down on all four
[CHORUS:]
In this holy trinity
Is she damned or is she free
In this holy trinity
Is she damned or free
And God he roars "Oh, you misled"
As she forgot all oaths unto him said
Through the flesh the Devil she wed
Is now her soul refused and dead
She ravishes herself, and forgets all about Heaven
She moans with God above, and Satan below
[Repeat verse 1]
[Pre-chorus]
[CHORUS x2]
