The Other House: The House Of Lords Before Reformation

Lord Clifford is utterly incensed that Tony Blair wants to sack him, and the other two thirds of the Lords that earned their right to rule by dint of birth. “It’s the history of the family’s contribution not only to the nation’s heritage, but also to the world,” says Lord Clifford in justification. But not all the Lords feel so blessed. Lord Bath spends his time painting erotic pictures of his 68 mistresses. This ageing hippie will happily vote away the burden of his ‘right to rule’. At the other end of the spectrum, Lord Colwyn represents what is best about the Lords. The practising dentist likes to feel he represents ‘Mr Average’ and takes his role in the Lords seriously. Yet he also will be voting away the family right to rule. “With my hand on my heart, I can’t justify the fact that you can hand on political power.” The English aristocracy’s great talent for survival may finally have run its course in British politics.

House of Lords - Indestructible EPK (Official / News / Studio Album / 2015)
Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the HOUSE OF LORDS tenth studio album aptly entitled "Indestructible" on June 3rd in Europe and June 7th in North America.
The new album shows once again what HOUSE OF LORDS stands for: powerful and heavy songs, with major hooks and melodies and grandiose arrangements. “The name Indestructible was chosen because we all felt that we have been through a lot in our long careers and what better way to say "Hey, I'm still Here" than by giving the cd a BOLD title,” says singer James Christian.
"Indestructible" features eleven brand new songs, which masterfully combine the best of Heavy and Melodic Hard Rock. “The album is heavier in the beginning, but we love songs that are both Melodic and Heavy” continues Christian, “and the idea was to fill the best of both on one cd without sounding like two different bands. I think we have accomplished that. A good example would be the song “Pillar of Salt" especially gives a good representation of how the new album sounds: a combination of heavy, melodic, and thoughtful lyrics. This song is one of my favorites!”
Besides being HOUSE OF LORDS tenth studio album, the new record sees the new line-up celebrating their first ten years together. “It is amazing to work with BJ, Chris and Jimi” tells James Christian, “they are all very aware of what HOUSE OF LORDS represents and they are committed to making records that complement the history of the band. No matter which HOUSE OF LORDS album you listen to, there is a common thread, which comes from the fact that the four of us are musically in sync. This is the real reason why we have been able to produce records of this calibre”.
HOUSE OF LORDS will exclusively appear at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Trezzo (MI) next Sunday, April 12 and start a European tour in September, with a very special surprise show to be announced soon. More details soon!
"Indestructible" tracklisting includes: Go To Hell; Indestructible; Pillar Of Salt; 100 Mph; Call My Bluff; We Will Always Be One; Die To Tell; Another Dawn; Eye Of The Storm; Ain't Suicidal; Stand And Deliver.

The Palace of Westminster is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Commonly known as the Houses of Parliament after its tenants, the Palace lies on the Middlesex bank of the River Thames in the City of Westminster, in central London. Its name, which derives from the neighbouring Westminster Abbey, may refer to either of two structures: the Old Palace, a medieval building complex that was destroyed by fire in 1834, and its replacement New Palace that stands today. For ceremonial purposes, the palace retains its original style and status as a royal residence.

(HD)Travel to UK,House of Parliament-Big Ben 英国国会議事堂・ビッグ・ベン

Visit the Chao Praya Khlong River in Thailand - Bangkok Travel Guide
World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube
Bangkok, Thailand - Travel Guide http://bit.ly/13Qx5NI
Shepherd Entertainment gives you the history of the Chao Praya-khlong River, which is the most important river of Thailand.
The Chao Phraya, the mother of waters originates in the northern mountains and runs through Bangkok
into the Gulf of Siam. This is the most important river of Thailand. When Ayutthaya was destroyed,
General Chakri who later became King Rama I marked the location of the new capital in the lower bend
of the river, Thonburi. The word bang means a settlement on water. Two thirds of Bangkok's
population used to live in houses built on stilts in the water or marshes. The canal served as streets with
thousands of boats gliding on them so the name Venice of the East is not undeserved. This situation
changed only in the past century due to the chaotic expansion of the city.
It's still an exotic experience to get on a typical long boat on the Chao Phraya and pass by the slow
barges, rice carrying boats and waterbuses. Behind the impressive monasteries and simple wooden
huts, skyscrapers, office and bank buildings, shopping centers and luxury hotels rise on the horizon. But
if you veer off the river onto a smaller klong, which is an artificial channel, you can still see the image
that amazed the travelers of Victorian times. The father of sailor stories, Joseph Conrad also wrote
several short stories about this exotic water world. Such a boat trip is a must for every tourists who
visits Bangkok.
However, it's best not to look for a floating market here. The few boatmen selling cheap souvenirs are
just a colorless imitation of the bustling floating market about 100 km north of here. Passing by the stilt
houses on the canals, is like peeking into other people's homes. Locals live their everyday life
unbothered by tourists in their houses that more often than not do not even have doors. Although
they've started to drink bottled water, they still wash their clothes and dishes in the water of the canal
where also sewer water is released but that doesn't keep them from going for a swim in it on hot days.
The neighbors often sit in their boats and converse with the lord of the house who's resting in a
hammock on the shady terrace. There are not many signs of the new century but there are two
remarkable anachronisms here, satellite dishes and cell phones.
Many temples and monasteries were built in a way that one of the backyards look over a canal, while
along the wide avenues, the modern metropolis is visible, the river and the klongs reveal the life of the
poorer classes. There are many immigrants among the residents of the canals. The most beautiful and
most typical site of the river's Bangkok section is Wat Arun, the Dawn Temple. The 140 meter high
prang built on three terraces was named after the Indian god of dawn, Aruna. The prang is none other
than a square chedi built in the ancient Khmer style. The chedi is a simpler and more frequent form of
stupas but both basically contained Buddha relics and the ashes of holy monks or dignitaries. Prangs can
be primarily seen in Sukhothai and Ayutthaya, in cities built on the model of the Angkor Wat in
Cambodia.
The Wat Arun is an amazing sight at dawn. Allegedly, General Taksin arrived here from the besieged
Ayutthaya at this early hour and that's why the temple was given this name but people are also drawn
back to the river at sunset or when the evening lights come out. The Royal Barges are kept near Wat
Arun. These richly carved high nosed barges swim out to the river on major holidays. The 43 meter long
Suppanahong is the personal barge of the king. It has a gilded swan in the bough and the king sits on a
canopied throne in the middle of the boat. The 54 purple clad rowers are directed by a stroke who sets
the rhythm. Every year on the day of the Katin Festival, a parade of 35 boats celebrates the end of the
monsoon season.
At this time of year, the believers buy new clothes for the monks and the king shows a good example.
But they also have boat races, fireworks, a candle festival, flower carnival and royal plowing ceremony
and if that isn't enough, there's a plethora of spectacular religious holidays but the Chao Phraya reveals
a kaleidoscope of exciting attractions on regular weekdays as well.

London Travel Guide - Boasting more than 300 high-end shops, Oxford Street is one of the busiest shopping districts in all of Europe. This active street measures approximately a mile and a half long, and intersects with Park Lane, New Bond Street and Regent Street.
Leicester Square embodies the charm of all things British. It's named after Robert Sidney, who served as the 2nd Earl of Leicester. In 1630, Sidney purchased four acres of land within the neighborhood, and built an enormous house called Leicester House. Much to the local residents' immense disapproval, Sidney enclosed part of the formerly public land around his ostentatious new mansion.
As usual for London, arbitration ensued, and Lord Leicester was ordered to keep part of his land available to local parishioners.
Today, a small park ornaments the center of the area. Its features a statue of Shakespeare surrounded by dolphins, as well as statues of other historic celebrities such as Sir Isaac Newton.

Thanks for watching my Destiny Gameplay and Walkthrough! I'm playing this game on the PS4, but it's also available on the PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. This is one of the most anticipated games of 2014, and it's a new franchise, so I'm excited to see if it lives up to the hype! You may have seen me play the Alpha and Beta versions, but this playthrough will feature my single-player commentary and review through much more including the ending! If you're a fan of sci-fi action games, then let's play Destiny! Subscribe to ZackScottGames for new episodes of Destiny today!
DESTINY
Destiny is an action game from the creators of Halo, set in a mysterious future. Create a unique and powerful character, customize the way you look and fight, and explore what remains of our solar system. Destiny features a compelling storyline, competitive multiplayer, cooperative gameplay choices, wide open public combat destinations, and third-person community spaces where you can repair and rearm before going out on your next adventure.
Our civilization once spanned the solar system. Its ruins are still out there: buried in the dunes of Mars, hidden in the jungles of Venus, lost in a wild and abandoned Earth. For centuries we've huddled under the safety of the Traveler, protected from our enemies. Now, a new era has begun, and the only hope for our future lies in unlocking the greatest mysteries of our past. Defend the last safe City on Earth. Defeat our enemies. Explore the ancient ruins of our solar system. Discover all that we have lost. Become legend.

London Travel Guide http://bit.ly/16S8LQh
Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of the Shopping Areas of London, such as Oxford Street in vicinity which is one
of the busiest shopping districts in the world and Savile Row Street where tailors visibly prepare the world's most elegant suits.
Visit the Shopping Areas of London in the United Kingdom
Oxford Street in vicinity is one of the busiest shopping districts in the world. The semicircular section of Regent Street between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus is called the Quadrant. Numerous large department stores and famous shops buy in the street. For instance there's a world's largest toy store Hamley's but also worth mentioning are Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser, and there's Selfridges. One of the largest British Departments Stores second only to Harrods. Just a few steps from here we find ourselves on Savile Row where tailors visibly prepare the world's most elegant suits.
The easiest way to get around the 1625 kilometers of London is the underground or two best as it is popular be termed. The 11 lines are denoted by different colors with the total of 271 stops you can get just about anywhere in no time. The most common meeting place in London is the Statue of Eros in Piccadilly Square. The statue and fountains were designed by Alfred Gilbert in honor of the great humanitarian Lord Chasper. The street nearby also bears his name.
The neon advertisements which have been illuminating the Square since 1910 after the vibrancy of Piccadilly. The sub ground level Criterion Theatre was originally the music gallery of the extravagant restaurant bearing the same name. The value of the richly gilded ornamentation is said to amount to more than one million pounds. Opposite we see the famous 19th century Concert Hall, the London Pavilion which has been enveloped by Trocadéro Building. Behind the original façade lies an ultra modern shopping center complete with eateries and places of entertainment.
Trafalgar Square is named after the famous sea battle. Atop the 44 meter columns stands the statue of Admiral Nelson who prevented Napoleon's fleet from coming ashore in England. The statues of many military Commanders on Trafalgar Square seem insignificant compared to the four giant lion statues. The lions however, attained and peacefully tolerate children playing on them as well as the snapshots of tourists.
The Square is also the geographic center of London and serves as the zero kilometer point from which distances from the city are measured. Just as on Saint Mark Square in Venice here too people feed the urban pigeons. The spray from the fountains is especially refreshing in the summer heat but the place is just as full of atmosphere under a blanket of snow in the winter months when Christmas and New Year celebrations are held here.
Daniel Defoe the author of Robinson Crusoe was once set in a pillar over here for a polemic Essay he wrote on Religion. The National Gallery occupies the entire Northern side of the Square, since the mid 19th century the impressive building with it's dome in Corinthian columns has given home to one of the largest fine arts collections in the world.
