George Galloway interrupted by student who accuses him of being a racist.
Filmed on Monday 14th October 2013.
ABOUT GEORGE GALLOWAY:
Few contemporary politicians have attracted as much controversy as George Galloway. A Labour MP from 1987 to 2003, he was an outspoken critic of the policies of Tony Blair and New Labour, in particular the decision to invade Iraq. Fiery comments such as """"the best thing British troops can do is to refuse to obey illegal orders"""" saw Galloway expelled from the Labour Party. But Galloway returned to the political fray by founding the Respect Party and winning Bethnal Green and Bow in the 2005 General Election. Mr Galloway re-entered Parliament in this March as MP for Bradford West and has recently provoked controversy and criticism with his comments on the rape charges against Wikileaks' Julian Assange.
ABOUT THE OXFORD UNION SOCIETY:
The Union is the world's most prestigious debating society, with an unparalleled reputation for bringing international guests and speakers to Oxford. It has been established for 190 years, aiming to promote debate and discussion not just in Oxford University, but across the globe.

Tony Blair On Putin, Russia, And The World In Deadlock
"If Tony Blair joins the Presidential Advisory team, he won't be paid for his work," insisted the President's press secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko.
The job offer was widely published in the British press. It is well known that the former British Prime Minister receives hundreds of thousands dollars for his lectures, speeches and consulting services.
The meeting between Tony Blair and President Petro Poroshenko took place after his interview with Hromadske.
During his time in office, Blair improved Britain's relationship with Russia and Putin as well as supporting the US-led invasion of Iraq, and brokering a historical peace deal in Northern Ireland. For the last 7 years, Blair served as the Special Quartet Representative to the Middle East but stepped down in May 2015.
Hromadske asked Blair about the role of Britain as a guarantor of the Budapest Memorandum, how to defend Ukraine from Russian aggression, the lessening of London's influence on the world, his personal contact with Putin, the mistakes Britain made during decentralization which led to the Scottish referendum on independence, his success in brokering the Northern Irish peace deal and when should leaders sacrifice their popularity for the sake of peace.
Hromadske also asked Blair about how a country should protect itself against a foreign aggressor when international law does not function and also whether he supports the Labour party's mansion tax policy.
Tony Blair was in Ukraine to participate in a youth forum for the global initiative Tomorrow. The forum was organized by the Pinchuk Foundation, a charitable organization owned by prominent, yet controversial, Ukrainian businessman, Viktor Pinchuk.

The 2003 invasion of Iraq is not to blame for the violent insurgency now gripping the country, former UK prime minister Tony Blair has said.
Speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr, he said there would still be a "major problem" in the country even without the toppling of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

David Cameron having chickened out of a head to head debate with Ed Milliband left the Labour leader to on his own face the brought out of retirement Jeremy Paxman as the second debate of the night following his earlier 20 minute grilling of David Cameron. Jeremy Paxman started hard by focusing on the failures of the last Labour government in terms of immigration, debt, spending, economic collapse and the threat of a Labour-SNP alliance, but Jeremy relented towards the end of the debate to give Ed Milliband an markedly easier ride than the Prime Minister had received as the following comprehensive video of the debate and analysis illustrates.

The UK economy is now growing at its fastest pace since 2006 and leads the G7 countries prompting George Osborne to tweet “GDP revised upwards from 2.6% to 2.8% for 2014. Confirms UK as clearly fastest growing major advanced economy.” Whilst Ed Balls responded “This is the slowest recovery for 100 years and the Tories have failed to deliver the sustained rises in living standards they promised.” Though conveniently forgetting that the economy was recovering from the last Labour g

Legal protection:
Bangladesh enacted the Labour Act in 2006, which includes a chapter on child labour. This new law prohibits employment of children under 14 years of age, as well as prohibiting
hazardous forms of child labour for persons under age 18. However, children who are aged 12 and above may be engaged in “light work” that does not pose a risk to their mental and
physical development and does not interfere with their education. The law does not provide a strong enforcement mechanism for the child labour provisions. Additionally, the vast majority of children (93 per cent) work in the informal sector 6 which makes enforcement of the relevant legislation challenging.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has recently adopted
a National Child Labour Elimination
Policy 2010, which provides a framework to eradicate all forms of child labour by 2015. UNICEF was one of many stakeholders to provide feedback on this policy. Its aims
include: withdra
wing children from hazardous jobs; improving income generating
opportunities for parents so they‟re not so reliant on child income; offering incentives for
working children to attend school; enacting laws and improving law enforcement to eliminate child labour. A Child Labour Unit has been established as part of this policy, which will have
responsibilities including collecting and disseminating data
relating to child labour.
According to this policy, the criteria for defining hazardous work for children includes: working more than five hours a day; work that creates undue pressure on physical and psychological wellbeing and development; work without pay; work where the child becomes the victim of torture or exploitation or has no opportunity for leisure.

George Osborne appeals to Labour voters in conference speech
George Osborne has told Conservatives to "extend our hand" to people who feel "completely abandoned" by Labour's new leadership.
In his conference speech in Manchester, the chancellor said the Tories had created a "new centre ground" and were "the true party of labour".
He also said councils in England would be able to set and keep hold of their share of £26bn in business rates.
Former Labour minister Lord Adonis is to lead a new infrastructure body.
BBC assistant political editor Norman Smith said Mr Osborne's speech went "way beyond" a conventional chancellor's address and appeared focused on the "next prize" - succeeding David Cameron as Conservative Party leader.
Among key conference developments:
Plans to sell shares worth £2bn in Lloyds Bank were announced by the chancellor. The shares will be sold to private investors next spring.
The business rates shake-up was, Mr Osborne said, "the biggest transfer of power to local government in living memory"
89 local authority pension funds in England and Wales are to be combined into six regional funds to encourage them to invest in major infrastructure projects
There will be infrastructure investment of £5bn funded by asset sales with an airport expansion decision by Christmas
Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt says the government is right to press ahead with cuts to tax credits, with cuts to tax credits, saying they send a "cultural signal" the UK must become as hard working as China
Follow live reaction and coverage of the Conservative Party conference
Mr Osborne said while he had grown up in London, he had been "changed" by representing a constituency near Manchester and convinced of the need to increase investment in the North of England.
The Conservatives needed to understand the "reservations" of people who did not back them at the election, he said.
"So to these working people who have been completely abandoned by a party heading off to the fringes of the left, let us all here today extend our hand.
"Do you know what the supporters of the new Labour leadership now call anyone who believes in strong national defence, a market economy, and the country living within its means?
"They call them Tories. Well, it's our job to make sure they're absolutely right."
Mr Osborne, who said the Conservatives were "now the party of work, the only true party of labour", also called for new ways to fund infrastructure projects.
His central proposal - which will only apply in England - involved business rates, which are charged on most non-residential properties like factories, offices and shops.
They are currently set by central government, collected by councils and then redistributed by Whitehall across the country.
Mr Osborne said this "merry-go-round" would be ended, with local authorities retaining the proceeds locally and able to cut rates.
Areas with elected mayors will have an additional power to raise money by increasing rates, he said. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own business rate systems.
The Local Government Association said the reforms were "great news".
Chairman Gary Porter said: "With greater local control, councils will have flexibility to reduce business rates for the types of shops and businesses that residents want in their high streets and neighbourhoods."
Shadow chancellor John McDonnell said Labour would look at the detail of Mr Osborne's business rates proposals, but warned safeguards were needed so "poorer areas of the country do not lose out on vital revenue".
In his speech, Mr Osborne also acknowledged Labour's role in proposing a National Infrastructure Commission, saying he was "delighted" Lord Adonis, policy chief in Tony Blair's government before becoming transport secretary under Gordon Brown, had agreed to lead it.
Lord Adonis has resigned the Labour whip and will sit as a crossbencher in the Lords as he takes on his new role.
Earlier the chancellor also defended the government's changes to tax credits, after some Conservatives called for a rethink.
Critics include senior backbencher David Davis, who compared them to the poll tax, and ex minister David Willetts, who likened the changes to Labour's abolition of the 10p tax band in 2007.
Mr Osborne said a typical family on the minimum wage would be better off, with the changes offset by the new National Living Wage.
'Big improvements'
And he insisted other European leaders were not too preoccupied by the migrant crisis to consider the UK's demands for EU reform ahead of its membership referendum.
"I'm not saying it's the only thing they're thinking about, but they are thinking about it," he added.
Lord Adonis, a Social Democrat councillor and Liberal Democrat election candidate before joining Labour, said: "Without big improvements to its transport and energy systems, Britain will grind to a halt."

Labour Economic Collapse vs Coalition Recovery - UK Election Forecast 2015
The last ONS GDP statistics release before election day revised UK economic growth higher for 2014 to 2.8% from the previous estimate of 2.6%, against 1.7% for 2013. The UK economy is now growing at its fastest pace since 2006 and leads the G7 countries prompting George Osborne to tweet “GDP revised upwards from 2.6% to 2.8% for 2014. Confirms UK as clearly fastest growing major advanced economy.” Whilst Ed Balls responded “This is the slowest recovery for 100 years and the Tories have failed to deliver the sustained rises in living standards they promised.” Though conveniently forgetting that the economy was recovering from the last Labour governments economic collapse.
Therefore this video analysis compares the economic performance of the current Coalition government against that of the last Labour government in terms of GDP growth, debt & deficit, government spending, unemployment and the implications for the outcome of the May general election. Also includes trend analysis of current opinion polls seats projections from a range of mainstream forecasters.

Blairite Quits Labour To Head Osborne Project
One of Labour's most senior and respected peers has decided to leave the party, in order to chair a new infrastructure commission.
Lord Adonis, a former transport secretary under Gordon Brown, is going to be tasked with leading an independent new body designed to "calmly and dispassionately work out what the country needs to build for its future".
He is the most high profile centrist figure to abandon Labour in the wake of Jeremy Corbyn's election as Labour leader.
Aides to George Osborne say the peer has long been admired for his work on promoting HS2, the high-speed rail link connecting London with the north.
Later, the Chancellor will announce Lord Adonis's appointment, which is part of a scheme to overhaul the way major building projects are "planned, funded and delivered".
:: Read about the fall and rise of Mr Osborne
Mr Osborne will tell delegates in Manchester: "Where would we be if we had never built railways or runways, power stations or new homes? Where will be in the future if we stop building them now?
"We have to shake Britain out of its inertia on the projects that matter most."
The peer's initial remit is to focus on projects to improve connections between northern cities , and advise on the large-scale investments earmarked for London's transport network.
The Adonis Commission will make recommendations for projects every five years at the start of each parliament.
Although these suggestions will not be binding, his body will have the ability to "hold the Government's feet to the fire" if ministers provide an insufficient response.
Lord Adonis said he was "pleased" to have been offered the role, adding: "Without big improvements to its transport and energy systems, Britain will grind to a halt.
"Major infrastructure projects like Crossrail and building new power stations span governments and parliaments."
The new body's creation follows criticism that the Davies Commission took three years to recommend a third runway at Heathrow after hearing submissions from hundreds of aviation experts, planning officials and environmentalists.
Lord Adonis has quit the Labour whip in order to ensure the new commission is politically independent, meaning it does not constitute a defection to the Conservatives.
But the timing of his departure, with voluble disagreements between senior Labour party figures, could still be unwelcome for Labour's new frontbench team.
A spokesman for Mr Corbyn said the Conservatives' record on infrastructure over the past five years has been "one of complete failure to deliver".
He added: "There is still nothing to indicate that the Tories understand the desperate need for serious long-term investment in infrastructure."

Labour of Love (January 6, 1991) -- On the political outs with his own party after the events of "Who Shot Alan B'Stard?", Alan is dismayed when Victor Crosby, a man even further to the right than he, wins a by-election in Accrington and quickly becomes the new darling of the party, placed on the fast track for the Cabinet by Sir Greville and awarded Alan's weekly column in the Daily Express. Apparently deciding to dump the Tories, Alan arranges a meeting with Paddy O'Rourke, a high-ranking member of the Labour Party, and offers to leak documents damaging enough to the Government to guarantee a Labour victory in the next election in exchange for the post of Foreign Secretary. Returning to the office he now shares with Crosby, Alan plants a mousetrap in Crosby's desk drawer, then tells him that he should send Margaret Thatcher a Valentine's Day card to see to it that he stays in her good graces. When Crosby reaches for a pen to sign, his right hand is caught in the trap, and he ends up using his left hand to sign the card (at Alan's suggestion) "From Your Newest Recruit". Before Crosby leaves, Alan also gives him £1,000 cash to buy a Savile Row suit. At the next Prime Minister's Questions, Neil Kinnock reveals plans (stolen by Alan from Sir Greville's red box while he was busy having an assignation with Sarah) for the Government to abolish the poll tax and replace it with a value added tax on mortgage payments. After the resulting uproar, Sir Greville arrives at Alan and Crosby's office and reveals that he has come into the possession of the note sent to Kinnock (signed "From Your Newest Recruit"), and that an expert has identified it as Crosby's handwriting, despite his attempt to disguise it. When Crosby appeals to Alan to help him, Alan produces a doctored tape of Crosby on the phone with Kinnock accepting a £1,000 bribe for the documents. Crosby is arrested and expelled from Parliament, Alan is back in Sir Greville's good graces (although he reveals that he knows of Greville's affair with Sarah and warns him not to do it again), and he even gets his column in the Daily Express back. His first item is a call for the re-legalization of slavery, which he stole from Crosby.
