Este es un nuevo zine que nace de la colaboracion de varias personas.Es asi que el contenido es bastante variopinto,teniendo una base fuerte en el trabajo tipo columnas de opinion tambien podras encontrar algo de poesia libre.Todo esto presentado en corta y pega con muchas imagenes alrededor lo que hace el trabajo visual algo digno de ser tomado en cuenta.Para esta primera entrega encontraras una serie de temas como : Hipster Og,No Dinosaurs,Everathing is Feminist y un largo etc.Definitivamente estoy contento de haber podido obtener esta publicacion de la cual ya no puedo esperar a ver sus siguientes entregas.Escrito en ingles.

Leeps "idem"

Con una buena base melodica que mezcla el medio tiempo con la suavidad,esta banda nos entrega una produccion donde podras encontrar temas simplemente intensos con un punto fuerte en los arpegios de guitarra pero sin descuidar los demas aspectos de sus melodias como lo son la bateria y la voz,ademas de esto incluyen sonidos de vientos,esto hace que las melodias ganen en peso.Indie-rock e Indie-pop que se nutre del sonido de lo s90´s y el Alt-rock.Las letras son bastante introspectivas pero que reflejan muy bien la forma de ver el mundo que tienen estos chicos.Un conjunto de temas que estoy seguro vas a disfrutar de principio a fin y lo mejor de todo lo encuentras para descarga gratuita obvio que no hay que olvidar que al comprar su Cd ep podras ayudar a la banda a crear mas musica.

With a nice noise base that is kind of mid tempo with a soft wind,this band give us a release that have for sure some strong moments,the guitar work is a heavy part here but also the drumms and the voice,they also include some windwork that make the whole aura of the songs pretty strong.Indierock and Indiepop with some 90´s Alt-rock influence,the songs are about life and their problems in a very poetic and elegant way showing you that they think hard about what they are talking here.Songs that you will sure enjoy from the very beginning,you can downloat it for free and this is awesome but you can also buy the Cd ep and support the band to create and record new music.

Round 7 "no excuse"

Hace un buen tiempo que no descubria una banda de Hardcore que me atrapaba con su sonido asi de rapido.Estos chicos tienen no solo Hardcore en su sonido tambien mezclan ese sonido primigenio con algo de Metalcore y Punk,creando una pared sonora que es indestructible y solida.Liricamente sus mensaje es positivo y de unidad algo recurrente en este tipo de estilo.Al oir este lanzamiento no tienes la sensacion de que son temas individuales los que escuchas si no mas bien al oir esta produccion sientes que hay una continuidad entre las canciones haciendo que el oir el disco tengas un panorama completo de lo que la banda trata de expresar con su musica.Definitivamente una banda que se debe tener en cuenta.

Long time that i didnt discover a Hardcore band that catch my attention so fast as this band have done.This guys play Hardcore but not only that you can hear some Metalcore and Punk going on on their sound,this mix of styles let them to create a hybrid that is very interesting and enjoyable.As you listen the songs you feel that they connect with each other really well creating a nice and powerful soinc wall, so you can get the whole picture of what this band is trying to present you.Definitely a band that you must check out.

Mad House Jump

Una publicacion la cual se ha bien ganado un excelente nombre en su escena,por la calidad de la presentacion y por sus interesantes contenidos tanto escritos como graficos.Esta fue la ultima edicion del año pasado asi que contiene en todo caso informacion mas o menos reciente.Puedes encontrar aqui muchas reseñas que dejan ver que la escena Rocknroll y Rockabilly tiene un excelente nivel y es una escena bastante productiva.El zine se complemente con posters de conciertos,festivales,proximos releases y demas parafernalia lo cual convierte a esta publicacion en una pieza de arte.Excelente e interesante publicacion que merece ser leida.Escrito en ingles.

The Great depression "sux"

Encontre esta banda de pura causalidad y en realidad ha sido un buen hallazgo.Esta banda tiene un sonido bastante pausado y personal,al oir los temas sientes un inmensa paz y mucha calma la cual se convierte casi de inmediato en caos sonoro.Con un sonido Midwest pero con elementos de Punk e Indie,estos chicos han creado aqui un conjunto de canciones que tienen cada por su lado una belleza unica.Esta banda tiene excelentes trabajos de guitarra,bajo y bateria acompañados por una voz la cual tiene un timbre que es agradable y combina perfectamente con las melodias de los instrumentos.Definitivamente musica para disfrutar y re descubrir cada vez que se oye y es exactamente eso lo cual hace a esta banda mas que interesante.

I found this band newly and i really think is a great discover, as i listen the tracks i felt peace that slow turn into a beautiful sonic chaos.With a Midwest sound still having some Punk and Indie sound going on,this guys created a handfull of song that as single tracks owns are beautiful and putting together makes this release a MUST.Great instruments sound with a voice that have a warm sound is a win win situation if you wanna call it so.Definitely music to enjoy and to re discover everytime you listen them and so this is the thing that makes this band so interesting.

Arbes "swimmer"

Ep debut de esta novel banda de Australia.Al oir sus temas puedes sentir perfectamente el aire lo-fi que intentan transmitir,las guitarras tienen mucho arpegio Jangle y la voz se acerca mucho al Dream-Pop pero no solo es eso los temas tienen una aura a amateurismo y elegancia.Los temas tienen una velocidad que hace que los sonidos se tornen de alguna manera melancolicos y llenos de sentimiento.Esta produccion cuenta con un total de seis temas,los cuales nos presentan una banda la cual ha sabido confeccionar parajes sonoros que son interesantes,que contienen varias texturas sonoras las cuales se complementan a la perfeccion y que de por si son una muestra de lo que esta joven puede ofrecer.Un ep el cual no te cansas de oir.

Benjamin Busch "palimpsest"

Tuve la oportunidad de conocer al creador de esta libro ya que fue estaba sentado junto a mi en mi stand del la ultima edicion del festizine de Berlin.Este libro contiene una serie de imagenes en blanco y negro con una excelente resolucion.La tematica esta divida en dos grandes grupos,el primero de ellos la naturaleza,tema el cual presentado en blanco y negro le da una aura de tristeza y melancolia.El segundo grupo son las fotos de caracter urbano en realidad post urbano,estas imagenes reflejan locaciones antes habitadas y ahora en abandono,al ser tambien sin color,el impacto que tienen las mismas en muy intenso y personal.Este en un libro el cual cada vez que lo tengas manos encontraras en cada imagen un detalle distinto y eso es lo que hace que sea interesante de darle una mirada.

I had the chance to get to know the autor of this book because he sat next to me on my expo table on the last festizine in Berlin.This books contains a serie of Black and white photos with a awesome resolution.The topics are divided in two big groups,the first one is nature which thanks the b/w touch looks depressive and intense,the second one is the urban side kind of post modern view of it with a lot of old and broken buildings with a personal and intimate feeling.This is the kind of book that everytime you see and find new details on the pictures.

Una banda la cual se nutre de una infinidad de influencias al momento de crear sus canciones.No podria personalmente definir una influencia marcante pero su sonido tiene muchio de Shoegaze e Indie-Pop con unas pinceladas de Alt-Rock.Los temas en esta produccion son oscuros y melancolicos dando una imagen de desolacion y un tanto de desesperanza.Estos chicos han creado una produccion la cual esta llena de perlas musicales,al oir la banda tienes el sentimiento que estas siendo transportado a una epoca anterior cuando las radio piratas en Am pasaban musica underground del otro lado del charco.Definitivamente una produccion que debes de tener en tu coleccion.

A band that have a lot of sonic influences at the moment to create songs.I ca not say that i hear a marcant influence but a lot of Shoegaze and Indie-Pop with a nice Alt-Rock flavor.The songs are somehow dark and melancholic packed with desolation and broken hopes.This guys created an album packed with music germs as you listen the recors you get the feeling that youre doing time traveling to the time where pirate radiostations on Am played underground music from the other part of the world.Definitely a record that you must own.

Publicacion de caracter Polysexual, el cual se encargade dar mediante articulos,poesia,drawings,entrevistas como es que este grupo social se desarrolla y conecta entre si.Esta trabajada de manera muy profesional y el diseño es batsanre claro y directo.Las entrevistas son hechas con preguntas bien pensadas por lo cual se obtiene una respuesta interesante,lo que conlleva que la lectura sea fluida y entretenida.En general un excelente trabajo de difusion no solo de contracultura si no arte tambien por el hecho de que la presentacion de esta publicacion esta por demas bastante bien cuidada y trabajada.Escrito en ingles y aleman.

Nightmare Fortress "the waiting"

Esta produccion es impecable,tanto en sonido como en presentacion.La banda experimenta con sonidos oscuros,secos y de alguna manera hasta macabros,su estilo va por el lado del Darwave combinado con algo de Electronico y Synth.Musica la cual se torna personal e intismista,creando sonidos los cuales se convierten en una fuente de energia sonora sin darte cuenta.Usando instrumentos clasicos (guitarra,bateria) juntandolo con sonidos electronicos (synth,efectos,delays,etc) esta conjuncion hace que la banda nos presente un sonido puro e intenso.Una produccion que ya esta empezando a tener un poco de reconocimiento en la prensa asi que hay que esperar mucho mas de ellos aun.

This is a hight quality release in sound and presentation.The band experiment with dark and dust sound something with a macabre aura,their style is Darkwave with a bit of Electronic and Synth.Music that is personal and intimistic.Using normal instruments (guitar,bass,etc) as well as electronic ones (synth,delay,etc) this together work makes the music catchy but still elegant and dark.This release got some really good reviews and is not a surprise this band creates with this release a masterpiece.

Desde hace un par de años sigo las ediciones de este fanzine,el cual con cada edicion cambia un poco mas en cuanto a diseño y/o contenido.No tiene mala de eso en verdad es una progresion la que se puede apreciar en cada edicion.Para la actual podras encontrar.Con una mezcla entre Punk y Rocknroll en sus paginas,encontraras mucha informacion y lo mejor que muy interesante y excelentemente presentada.Este un buen punto tambien del zine,la forma en la cual esta diseñado de manera muy profesional combiando espacio,letras e imagenes de excelente forma sinceramente.Mas que un zine al hojearlo parece que estuvieras viendo un magazine Pro.Publicacion hecha con mucho corazon y esto de verdad se siente en sus contenidos.

I follow this zine since a couple of years and i can say that in each isse the re-invented in a great way,feeling in this issue a nice upgrade in contents and design.With a mix of Punk and Rocknroll and a lot of between you will find a lot cool info in a very nice layout.And this is soemthing that is really nice,the way the space,words and images and putting together,when you see the pages you get the feeling youre looking at a Pro Mag.Publication that is done with a lot of heart and you feel it.

The Capitalistuc Kids "at a loss"

Una produccion la cual esta impecablemente trabajada y te puedes dar cuenta de esto inmediatamente.Con un buen tiempo juntos como banda, estos chicos han creado un album el cual es compacto,rapido y melodioso, su onda va por el lado de Pop-punk y algo de Punk Melodico haciendo recordar un poco en su sonido a las bandas que surgieron a principios de los 90´s, por eso para mi particularmente es algo refrescante que aun en estos tiempo se pueda oir bandas creando musica en ese estilo.Sus temas tienen exactamente eso que hace el Pop Punk tan interesante,melodias rapidas,acordes de guitarras/bajo atrapantes,bateria al nivel perfecto de velocidad y una voz que es personal y desgarradoral.Se puede sentir de buena manera una progresion en el sonido y construccion de temas.Un album para disfrutarlo de principio a fin.

A release that is simply awesome and you can feel it from the very beginning of the record.With some time around as a band this guys created here an album that is fast,melodic and compact,their sound is all about Pop-Punk and Melodic Punk that remeind me a lot to the sound of those bands from the early 90´s, that is why i think that s very refreshing to listen at this time one band that still is paying with this kind of sound.Their songs have exactly this that make a good Pop-Punk record a good one,intensive melodies,faster and with great guitar/bass tabs a drummer that keep the beat and a voice that is personal and heratful.You can feel that they upgrade their sound on this record.A album that you will enjoy from the beginning to the end.

Publicacion de corte Punk,que desde la portada da una idea de lo que podras leer en sus paginas.DE alguna manera me hizo recordar los zines de los 80´s no solo por por el hecho de la manera en la que esta diagramado,tambien por lo visceral de su mensaje y la forma de expresar sus puntos de vista.Combina la parte politic/critica social con la parte musica del buena manera.Es asi que encuentras articulos de corte politico/social con comentarios de musica.La parte grafica del zine es una mezcla de corta y pega con dibujos y textos hechos a mano,lo cual como dije le da una vibra muy vieja escuela.Un zine que tienes ganas de apoyar a su escena y desde mi punto de vista lohace de muy buena manera.Escrito en castellano.

Lo que tenemos aqui es una lanzamiento de una muy alta calidad, tanto en produccion como en composicion.El disco empieza con una intro bastante suave,casi hipnotica,para dar luego paso a temas los cuales tienen mucha influencia del  Alt-rock y Indierock de los 90´s.La parte vocal esta trabajada de manera minuciosa,se siente exactamente al oir a la vocalista,lo que no esta tratando de transmitir.Musicalmente usa varios intrumentos en conjuncion,los cuales crean atmosferas sonoras completas que se ajustan perfectamente a el aura vocal.Este es una produccion con la cual sonoramente te puedes identificar de inmediato,con un sonido maduro y excelentemente llevado a cabo.La version online esta disponible para libre descarga,yo me hize de una copia fisica cuando tuve la oportunidad de ver en vivo a la artista.

Die Wrecked "mongel hordes"

Acabo de recibir esta produccion y tuve muchas ganas de escribir una reseña.Esta banda tiene un sonido caotico,fuerte y rapido,los temas que se encuentran en esta produccion te dejaran simplemente sin aliento.Su onda va por el lado del Punk Old School escuela inglesa.Al oir el Cd tuve el sentimiento de estar dando un viaje al pasado por el hecho de como los temas estan compuestos y tocados.Aunque veloces y agresivos los temas reflejan un agudo punto critico acerca de la realidad actual.Esta banda tiene ya un par de años de actividad y se ha caracterizado por lo directo de su mensaje y su sonido,en esta produccion nos presenta un puñado de temas los cuales no decepcionan en lo absoluto muy por el contrario hacen notar la evolucion de la banda.Una banda que tiene mucho que decir y lo expresa de la mejor manera.

La vibra de esta publicacion es bastante vieja escuela es decir corta y pega con imagenes sobrepuestas y tenxtos a veces escritos a mano otras en maquina.Cada pagina esta cargada de informacion acerca de protestas callejeras y una que otra banda en concierto.Aqui leeras informacion acerca de actividades anarcas en Lima ademas de un par de entrevistas y columnas desde un punto de vista anarcopunk.No se si la persona que edita este zine ya haya editado alguno antes,pero este primer intento le quedo simplemtente excelente.Escrito en castellano.

 When you see the cover artwork of this zine you are sure what is all about, debut issue of this Anarchopunk zine from Lima-Peru. The vibe of this zine is very really very old school that means cut and paste images and text combinate with handwriting. Each page is packed with info and images some about street riot and other about bands in concert. You are able to read some info about anarcho activities in Lima plus and interview and couple of personal columms that have a conection with everyday life in an anarchopunk pint of view.Im not sure if the person that is making this zine, have done another before but this first try looks simply killer.Writing in english.

The Rurals "retrospect"

Un colectivo el cual tiene ya muchos años creando musica,nos entrega esta vez su mas reciente puñado de temas.Con un centro sonoro que va por el lado del la musica Electronica y el DeepHouse,logra crear ambientes con tonadas de Jazz y un buen cargamento de Soul.Esta producion nos trae un conjunto de 11 temas,los cuales dentro de cada tema tiene un buen numero de influencias puestas juntas de una manera elegante y bien trabajada.Algunos temas son tienen vocalista femenina y otros masculina.Este colectivo se ha caracterizado por lo prolifico de su trabajo,con muchos lanzamientos a cuentas y demostrando en cada cula una progresion en su sonido y tecnica.Temas los cuales son agradables con un muy buen toque de Lounge.Una confimarcion de el por que este colectivo se mantiene activo desde hace tanto tiempo brindando musica de calidad con mucho sentimiento.

Una buena sorpresa la que recibi en mi casilla de correo esta vez,me gusta mucho la vibra de esta publicacion,es como una amena conversacion entre viejos amigos acerca de diferentes la vieja tecnologia temas como por ejemplo : Betamax,Punk,Tapes.etc,en realidad temas interesantes.Cada persona que contribuye con el zine,habla acerca de un tema especifico y desarrolla a partir de ahi su punto de vusta y/o el recuerdo que asocia con ello.Aqui encuentras 7 columnas,una larga entrevistas y ademas una seccion de reseñas de zines,musica y libros.La forma en la cual el zine esta diseñado es clara y directa usando las plabaras como punto referencial del diseño.Mucho por leer y ademas disfrutar,me alegro kucho de poder haber accedido a leer este buen zine.Escrito en ingles.

I like the vibe of the zine, you know is like a nice and cool conversation between friends about dead technologies in different topics like Betamax, Punk, Tapes, etc even cool topics. Each person that write about it give you their point of view of any specific topic and there are 7 of it plus a long interview and also reviews not only music but zine,movies and books.The way the zine is design is clean and direct to the point using words as weapon of choice. Va "revolution-the shoegare revival"

Una compilacion que tiene una onda muy 90´s por el hecho de la variente musical que contiene.Como bien lo dice el titulo esta produccion reune un total de 30 bandas las cuales practican en Shoegaze,que no solo es distorsion de guitarras,es trabajo vocal y ritmico.Bandas de todas partes del mundo forman parte de esta produccion,la cual hace ver que este estilo musical no es algo que quedo como un hype y en el olvido,nos demuestra que en la actualidad exixten muchas bandas que toman este sonido y lo adaptan a los nuevos tiempos.Cada tema tiene un aspecto y karma distinto pero al oir el compilado completo te vas a dar cuenta que cada melodia se complementa y da un panorama claro de lo que esta pasando en esta escena de forma internacional.Una produccion que se encuentra para libre descarga, es decir no hay ningun motivo para que no la empiezes a disfrutar.

Lo que empezo como un proyecto online en formato blog, se convirtio en una zine en papel,lo cual me da mucha alegria.
Esta edicion contiene entrevistas a sellos y bandas de Argentina (de donde es el zine) ademas de un par de reseñas las cuales estan muy detalladas.
La onda del zine me recordo mucho a los zines de los 90´s por la forma del layout y por la utilizacion del espacio disponible.En las hojas que por lastima esta edicion no son muchas,podras encontrar mucha informacion de proyectos underground que resultan interesatntes,por el hecho de que esta informacion esta escrita de manera coloquial.Una proyecto que de todas maneras debe ser editando en formato papel.Escrito en castellano.

What started as a webzine turns into a paper zine and i am really ahppy about it.This issue contains interviews and a couple of reviews that are plenty explain.
The zine remind me to the 90´s for the layout and the way the spaces are use with letters and pictures.You can find a lot of info about the underground of Argentina (the place where this zine comes from) , writing in a very friendly way.A prohject that must to stay as well as webzine as a print zine.Writing in spanish.

Black Cuco "primeros dos simples"

Musica que es pausada,intensa y muy personal.Este proyecto solista nos entrega sus dos primeros sencillos compilados en un Cdr.Sus temas van por el lado del Folk y el Indierock presentado de manera acustica con solo guitarra.La grabacion fue hecha desde un dispositivo celular y para eso he de decir que la calidad es bastante buena.Una onda super lo-fi la cual acompaña el sonido de los temas.Presentacion bastante bien cuidada,con un arte bastante adecuado con la onda melancolica de la musica.Definitivamente un canta-autor al cual se le debe llevar la pista.

Music that is nice,intense and very personal.This one man project bring us his two firsts singles on one Cdr.His music goes by the Folk and Indiepop in a acoustic presentation.He recorded everything with his cellphone with a good quality.The songs have a lo-fi soul on the sound.The layout fits perfect with the melancholic sound of the songs.Music that you really will enjoy.
