Eunice (70) Abused, Neglected & Jigger Infected (2 of 4)

EUNICE mocked as an "OLD DEAD DOG" by her daughter-in-law! The first time we got rid of them with follow up efforts. The second time we destroyed her Jiggers and repaired her home and gave it a new roof and floors. Now we hear that her Jiggers are back again. This will be the 3rd Round of Jigger digging for her! She's not only been infested, but she's been neglected and abused. This lady needs to be removed once our Senior Home is available! Throughout the prior visits we had not come across the daughter in law and her claws. Meeting her this time exposed the HATE that has keep the Jiggers coming back to Eunice. She had the audacity to bad mouth her mother in law right before our faces, calling her an 'Old Dead Dog' and other atrocious names that cannot be put here. It was shocking and incited our anger. We don't take lightly to elder abuse and the threat that that "we would never defeat the Jiggers there". So she was given to the authorities to explain what she meant. Eunice is not able to cook, and his son's wife only gives her crumbs. She's elderly and is sick in her body and cannot bend to clean floors or take out her bedding for drying in the sun. Bedbugs were going to suck all her blood. I have not come across so many bugs in the bedding and walls for a long time. We'll be turning this house upside down - cleaning it, fumigating it, and providing her with new things incuding bedding and a mattress. If the senior home was finished we would take her there but, for now, we shall fight for her from her own place. She deserves better. We have spoken to her son who lives in Mombasa about the sorry state of his mother. We have called him home to come and help her. We hope to find some solution for Eunice to avoid Jiggers coming back again. Pray with us as we seek out solutions to this precious, God fearing, and prayerful lady. FRIENDS: The biggest challenge in working with people is getting a definite solution to issues. There's never a definite formula to handle issues afflicting people in their homes. We need everyday wisdom and grace as we meet new people who present new challenges - each one of them unique and intriguing. THE PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENTARY: These videos are for educational purposes and this does not entail just getting the education while watching, but it is also very important for future endeavors in research. We believe every video is a building block for the future research efforts because every individual video presents unique features which might interest an individual researcher in the future. In this regard we shall put out as many videos and we can, and this is a very important way to share to the world more about the jigger and what it is doing unnoticed in Africa. We also hope to encourage financial partnership with our viewers that will enable us to purchase supplies needed to eradicate the Jigger menace in Kenya.
