Australia's Governor-General Quentin Bryce visited a refugee camp in Jordan on Sunday and spoke to women and children who fled the civil war in neighbouring Syria.
She also met with King Abdullah and Queen Rania in the Jordanian capital Amman.

The desert camp of Zaatari - Jordan's first tent city - now hosts 25-thousand refugees.
