Phonetics (from the Greek: φωνή, phōnē, "sound, voice") is a branch of linguistics that comprises the study of the sounds of human speech, or—in the case of sign languages—the equivalent aspects of sign. It is concerned with the physical properties of speech sounds or signs (phones): their physiological production, acoustic properties, auditory perception, and neurophysiological status. Phonology, on the other hand, is concerned with the abstract, grammatical characterization of systems of sounds or signs.
The field of phonetics is a multiple layered subject of linguistics that focuses on speech. In the case of oral languages there are three basic areas of study:
These areas are inter-connected through the common mechanism of sound, such as wavelength (pitch), amplitude, and harmonics.
Phonetics was studied as early as 500 BC in ancient India, with Pāṇini's account of the place and manner of articulation of consonants in his 5th century BC treatise on Sanskrit. The major Indic alphabets today order their consonants according to Pāṇini's classification. The Ancient Greeks are credited as the first to base a writing system on a phonetic alphabet. Modern phonetics began with Alexander Melville Bell, whose Visible Speech (1867) introduced a system of precise notation for writing down speech sounds.
Victor Borge ( /ˈbɔrɡə/ BOR-gə; 3 January 1909 – 23 December 2000), born Børge Rosenbaum, was a Danish and American comedian, conductor and pianist, affectionately known as The Clown Prince of Denmark,The Unmelancholy Dane, and The Great Dane.
Borge was born Børge Rosenbaum in Copenhagen, Denmark, into a Jewish family. His parents, Bernhard and Frederikke Rosenbaum, were both musicians—his father a violist in the Royal Danish Orchestra and his mother a pianist. Like his mother, Borge began piano lessons at the age of two, and it was soon apparent that he was a prodigy. He gave his first piano recital when he was eight years old, and in 1918 was awarded a full scholarship at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, studying under Olivo Krause. Later on, he was taught by Victor Schiøler, Liszt's student Frederic Lamond, and Busoni's pupil Egon Petri.
Borge played his first major concert in 1926 at the Danish concert-hall Odd Fellow Palæet (The Odd Fellow's Lodge building). After a few years as a classical concert pianist, he started his now famous "stand up" act, with the signature blend of piano music and jokes. He married American Elsie Chilton in 1933, the same year he debuted with his revue acts. Borge started touring extensively in Europe, where he began telling anti-Nazi jokes.
Dean Martin (born Dino Paul Crocetti; June 7, 1917 – December 25, 1995) was an American singer, film actor, television star and comedian. Martin's hit singles included "Memories Are Made of This", "That's Amore", "Everybody Loves Somebody", "You're Nobody till Somebody Loves You", "Sway", "Volare" and "Ain't That a Kick in the Head?". Nicknamed the "King of Cool", he was one of the members of the "Rat Pack" and a major star in four areas of show business: concert stage/night clubs, recordings, motion pictures, and television.
Martin was born in Steubenville, Ohio, to Italian parents, Gaetano and Angela Crocetti (née Barra). His father was from Montesilvano, Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy, and his mother was an Italian of part Neapolitan and part Sicilian ancestry. Martin was the younger of two sons. His brother was named Bill. Martin spoke only Italian until he started school. He attended Grant Elementary School in Steubenville, and took up the drums as a hobby as a teenager. He was the target of much ridicule for his broken English and ultimately dropped out of Steubenville High School in the 10th grade because he thought that he was smarter than his teachers. He delivered bootleg liquor, served as a speakeasy croupier, was a blackjack dealer, worked in a steel mill and boxed as welterweight. He grew up a neighbor to Jimmy the Greek.
[Verse One]
Dear Diary, hear my plea
Though my eyes cry, through my tears I see
The worlds trend, we done crept up in some real sin
We so spent now we swept up in a whirl wind
And it seems like it wont stop til the world ends
How much more Lord will you endure until then?
Since Adam this pattern has plagued us
We followed our passions and look where it led us
You watched as Adam's first offspring
Off'd his brother cuz he was jealous of his offering
And as the years passed
We just kept going, the floods came as your tears splashed
Mixed with the steam of your fierce wrath
From your broken heart only those on the ark with Noah passed
Cuz only Noah found favor
Even though Noah couldn't hold it down later
Neither could Abraham
Neither could any of the prophets or priests or kings that you raised up stand
So with all these men, if you were grieved then
Then what keeps you from being grieved again?
[Chorus]
We know it's not nothing
It must be something that keeps you from being so grieved again
There'd be more than one flood if it wasn't for the Son's blood
To keep Him from being grieved again
[Verse Two]
Fast forward
From the past toward the present, past the torch light the path for us
Heaven, more than ever, cuz it's darker than it's ever been
We should be outside of the ark screamin' let us in
Check how we be with all our technology
With more ways to sin then any one man could possibly
And yet we invent more, like slaves indentured
Like sin vents through our pours
Evil as far as we can see, now we know drama like TNT
We found Pandora's Box, smashed the lock
Now look what's coming at us even on laptops
They push sin in the cinema, lovin it
Even vote it in to our government
We shed the blood of the innocent
Or know about it and won't do a thing to put an end to it
The way we see is distorted
Babies havin babies, more babies aborted
How can we afford to be this evil
When you flooded earth once what do we think keeps you from being grieved again?
[Chorus]
[Verse Three]
Lord, I know our sin is sky high
And I know you don't turn a blind eye
You see every instance, all at an instant
You don't scoff at sin's stench, so you know we're wonderin
Where's all the rain and thunderin
Did we get away with our dirt, did the darkness cover us
Were our sins hid, won't your eyelids uncover us
But it's not that you're passive, it's just that your grace is active
Right where your wrath should be
So we casually sin til we're sentenced and sent to where they'll be gnashing of teeth
After Noah's flood there's two judgments left
The cross and the one at the end, that's death
And it's not sleep forever, it's beef with God feeling the heat forever
The rest of this life without God is hellish
The afterlife without God, that's what hell is
And we don't want that
Before you come back and we get beat down like drum tracks
Before Messiah comes
Before your eyes are tired of our lives and the fire comes
Help us to see Your Son and to believe in Him
[Verse One]
Believe me when I tell you this
The world is wicked there's no telling what they'll do next
But I don't even have to focus on the evil without
I got enough reasonable doubt within me to send me to the chair
That's clear if I stare looking at a crooked cat in the mirror
Who me?
Truly, the enemy is the inner me nothing but me in the vicinity squared
That's two isn't it?
I don't know how to configure it
Or what digit to hit to make the equation equivalent
All I know is there's a war going on
And my sinful nature seems to be the source of it all
If I could get rid of it I'd be further along
And I wouldn't be standing here singing the words of this song
And it goes, what I don't want to do
I do, I pursue what I shouldn't if I could I sue who?
This other me loves me to the death
And would literally die just to satisfy my flesh
It takes every breath and blessing that God gives
Just to use it as a weapon against Him
Takes every good and perfect gift that comes from above
And perverts it like love gets changed for lust
It's dangerous like taking gusts of angel dust
When God displays disgust cause we reject His ways even though His ways are just
I'm stuck with a old nature that's corrupt
And plus incapable of pleasing God believe I tried and succeeded not but
Then Jesus died and rose again
He clothes us in a new nature so the old one won't win
Now I'm opposing sin and natural whims but that's when this battle begins
[Chorus]
There's a war going on, sure you're right
Sure you're wrong, who said that?
You, dead that you're strong but God is stronger
Lord help me conquer this monster
The Incredible Walk
[Verse Two]
If you look from the outside in
Through skin you'll meet the me that was born in sin but
If you go from the inside out
You'll meet the new me born again about ten years ago
Ten years to grow and here we go in stereo
Got, two inputs right and left
Asking are you down for life or death
Check, this new me is truly weird
It trusts God where I used to be scared, and I'm like
What's that all about
Walking out faith when I thought I had a cause to doubt
I'm telling y'all it's a trip
Now I'm getting equipped, to rep the God of the biblical scriptures
Motivated by a visual clip of the life of Christ and the Cross is the
pivotal picture
Like an old film digitally fixed up
The image is so vivid digits register on the Richter
So now even if it takes a while
I'm only trying to see what's gonna make God smile
In contrast to the me of times past
Quick and illegitimate willing to commit a crime fast
Now I serve the Lord with zeal
And stay sobered up and soldiered up cause the war is real
Not fighting with a sword of steal
But slicing with a spiritual sword that sure to peel
Soul from spirit and flesh from bone
And I roll with the Spirit never, left alone
Plus, my click is more consistent than the metronome
When it comes to letting Christ set the tone
so daily my sinful side is outlined in legible chalk
Let's have a very fast vast cardiovas. blast to spark
your heart and arteries like when artillery flash
If you're feelin' me fasten your seatbelt
my fault
your aint know this heat melts ice grills like rock
salt
Well we'll deal with that later I'm just the
facilitator here to present a way of life full of
thrills in the savior
couple of pills and a pager does not make an MD
couple of ill little sayings does not make a MC
couple of wheels on the table does not make DJ and me
on this track alone would not be a relay
we will not take it easy let's turn it up a notch
I'm trying to pass the baton it's time to burn it up-
Shabach
We on the corner with thugs
streets infested with drugs
even in some clubs preaching Jesus is love
it might be hard at home
hard heads won't follow
only in his home town is a prophet without honor
in England they holler hallelujah Hosanna Hosanna here
we hold up a banner for them saints in the slammer
in Africa where it's realer than the streets in the
hood
we aint just say it but we showing people God is good
God is God
king of kings and lord of the lords
around the country with a message money can't afford
price was paid
back inside of U.S. of A.
united saving of America in Jesus name
[Chorus]
We gonna take it to the west
where we going next
We gonna take it to the east
and where we going after that
We gonna take it to the club
and then we gonna touch down
We gonna take it to the street
just so we can break it down
We gonna take it to the crib
where we going next
We gonna take it to the park
and where we going after that
We gonna take it to ya head
and then we gonna touch down
We gonna take it to ya heart
just so we can break it down
A wise man once taught me how to serve the Lord
said if there's anything you won't do then there's
really nothing you can do for Him
If that's so then there's something I need to know is
there anything you won't do or anywhere you won't go
Man what you talking about
I go to Wichita which is out in the Mid-west helping
witches out of Wicca with the Pauline account
then I bounce back to the ruggedest hood giving a heads
up to the heads that are up to no good
to my native American heads living that Rez-life come
get a resurrected life from the dead through Christ
Holy Hip-hoppers follow this blazing pace as we're
running this amazing race with amazing Grace -
Shabach
For the weak and the lame
we extinguish the flames
tribal music you can use understand and you'll gain
make sure you run with it quick
for the Lord we spit but the hood wants to see how raw
we get
we go to Atlanta and open with our music bro and you
should see how many thugs love a Gospel show
hitting cats in Iraq
from France to India
doesn't matter the language when the Holy Spirit is in
to ya
to injure your walk
if you're crooked you fall
we power walk even for my people out in Nepal
beyond the calling
we're lending out hands to those falling
cause this amazing race is the true meaning of touring
[Chorus]
For some the American dream is a nightmare but imagine
having a taste of heaven while you're still right here
God has arranged it so that those living across long
ranges don't have to be lone rangers and remain
strangers hanging in a zone of danger
God became a lamb to appease His own anger
and if Jesus had never come and been born in a manger
then God would still be bent out of shape like clothes
hangers
now we gonna take this all the way to Bangkok and all
the places around the known world that you can think of
to let'em know that this world is on the brink of
judgment and that it's time to wake up and smell the
Sanka
cuz sin can sink us like anchors tied around ankles if
you're not sanctified then your bound to get tied up
and tangled inside of it like Matthew Broderick trying
to take a day off go a day without walking with the
Lord watch you'll end up way off -
Shabach
School is in session the lesson that we're addressing
is a blessing it's necessary for you and your
protection we're hoping this message doesn't fly over
your head
once this song is over your life could be over instead
if you're bowing your head to the Father lift Him up in
your prayers tell Him you're sorry and forgive me for
living life like a player
say word
I don't need herb to reach the sky
I'm on my way to South Park eating punch an pie
yes sir
that's the reason why we're lesser to Him
who else you know that could resurrect the Shabach from
please dog I don't want to see you dead at the end so
for the record we gon' tell you where we going again
[Verse One]
Yes Sir, Yeah Sis
If you can hear through Hip-hop than hear this
Here it is fresh off the presses
Here to lift souls and clear all depression
Cuz I know what it's like
When the sun is all shining but your soul feels night
Feels like you're caught under gloom's dark presence
With a little light shining like the moons sharp crescent
How many days gone by
When I said I was gonna win and I ain't even try
I wake up at half court
The day is half gone and time left on the board is madd short
Rushing my shot, hurry out the door
I don't pray I don't take my worries to the Lord
How much time does it take to run the floor
Get the stop watch or maybe I should stop and watch the Lord
Everyday is a new 24, on the shot clock
Either get your shot blocked or score
[Chorus]
Brand new day
With each new day that's dawnin'
Every time night turns to morning
Grace is new, Mercy is new, what you gone do with it
If life is a game you can never play in again
Would you stay in your sin or start trainin' aimin' to win?
[Verse Two]
I'm so down in points at this point I'll take brownie points
Especially with the people I love
I wish I could win or at least take the lead by a hug
Sometimes when I'm leavin' I shrug
Hoping they feel me like really E.Q.'d up subs
I hope they know that I'm doing a good thing
That's the reason I'm not around as much as I could be
And when I'm around I'm often drained
But I don't want relationships getting lost and strained
I'm always telling myself
Don't leave your lights out, be a lighthouse for someone else
I could do more before I hit the floor
Let me cop a squat, put in some quality time for sure
Everyday is a new 24, on the shot clock
Either get your shot blocked or score
[Chorus]
[Verse Three]
I love the way the Lord taught the church
He had a simple game plan when He walked the earth
A balance between doing, and being with the people He loved
And spending time with the father above
If I could master the art of the latter part
I could keep from having to march back to start
There's so many things to do
And this brings me to by chief need which is to cling to you
Maslow's hierarchy listed the priority
Of the order of the things that we need and I guess it varies
From the need to feed and to find love and to seek
To succeed but he missed the one thing that necessary
The Lord's standing at the door
Of your heart knocking unlock it watch He's got a lot in store
Today is a new 24, on your shot clock
[Verse One]
Now listen the kid with the new found vision
sound Christian, the old me found missing
I don't miss him I'm on a mission
Commissioned by an Author who's telling iller stories then John Grishom
Mind twistin, you would think it was this then
He's known for flipping the script and giving them something different
For instance isn't death irreversible-
But the instant you're found in Him now it isn't
How terrific how He fixes our afflictions, the epitome of all out altruism
All to Him is going all I have cause all I owe
I don't deserve Him at all y'all I know
All the woes, all the burdens of time
Combined and loaded down on one man's mind
Is all too kind and light of a situation
In light of the one eternal dilemma that man is facing
Try leaving the land of the living
And stand before the Lamb without having your sins forgiven
This is a no win situation, unless you know Him cause then your placed in
Relationship that's safe so when it's all over
Just know that it's just beginning for those who call upon Jehovah
We'll take off this flesh and put on fresh type skin
We don't know what we'll be but we'll be just like Him
Through out all the centuries, all who've fallen to sleep
Whether burned at the stakes or sawn into pieces of lost in the deep
Or tossed into steep pits and left for dead
They'll lift their heads and all get to breath then
Looking back at this life won't even add up
Compared to eternity earth won't even matter
So death is not my enemy anymore, it's only a key to a door
So hit me with a shotty a Maserati a pestilence or sword
Me absent from the body means I'm present with the Lord
[Chorus x2]
If Christ is not risen, we won't rise with Him
If He's not returning, we won't fly with Him
But since He's risen and since He's returning
We'll be living with Him in heaven for eternity
[Verse Two]
The truth has been cited
We've learned after Christ' return the bride & the groom are united
With His introduction, to show sin's destruction
This body of corruption puts on incorruption & shares His perfection
Receive the life He gives & see Him like He is like His mirror's reflection
He'll soothe in love, no tear ducts, hair plugs, or airbrush
Removal of the worst of infirmities
With Christ the Lord in paradise-
Restored & have our life's applaud in worship eternally
The R without Eric B & them, Regenerated from our legacy of sin inherently
Within plus He's the resurrector
Who brings us back like rewind wheel it up selecta
Rude boy derelicts fiery lake inherited
While what must I do to be saved becomes rhetoric
Not a relevant question
Cuz Christ righteousness sliced our beef like a delicatessen
When God's done assembling
No need for the r for restrains but the r that remains for the remnant
We'll proceed from the White throne, to an eternal life zone
Thru His gates we'll breeze like a cyclone
To kick it with Christ who paid iniquities price & He'll sit as the light
Enthroned & this home is the city of life
It's the earth's new edition like Ronny, Bobby, Ricky & Mike
Just day for us to live in
Never have a good night that God blessed like his name was Russell Simmons
It will be splendid, sin's not remembered
All cuz He rendered sin's debt rescinded
[Verse One]
I figured the way to spark it was to corner the market
And throw darts to hit the target
Then grip your hearts where lethargic
Thoughts sit and force it to turn like water burns from faucets
While you, think about what I'm speaking about reaching out to
Each endowed with the gift of listening and seeking sound
Reasoning my sound begins
Leaking through your speakers
Then everyone who's waiting to X-hell can breath again
CNN, see 'em when it's season in
Season out
Fall back on that talking less you trying to be about
What does my skill profit unless I'm a real prophet
If I'm living ill I can bet you that God will stop it
I'm just His little sidekick, He is the real object
When it comes to solving issues He handles the real problems
What is the deal partner, how you feel shawty
Brothers are still mobbing, holding that steel woydey
Boy they, know they, tripping don't they
So they, only, go they, own way
Homie, what's up with your home made remedies
Temporary solutions are futile and never set at ease
Plus medically, He's, better please let Him breath
Catch your second wind get set begin
Check your steez, before and after Christ
You go from looking forward to a morbid afterlife
To a gorgeous sacrifice, all that for half the price
Nah it's free
It only costs faith and even that's a gift so please believe
[Chorus]
Mic check 1-2, 1-2
Psych check 1-2, 1-2
[Verse Two]
Don't take Him for granted, granted
He is harder than granite, the grandest
A grand if you can find His grandkids
He has none, He only has sons and daughters
Not mom, not grand mom, no one that we know of can know Him for us
Whoa! how you just gonna come from the chorus like that
And jump right into all this “granted-granite type rap?
What ever happen to a smooth transition?
Alright let me slow it down so you can listen
The man who's falling thinks he's flying, gravity defying
Gradually he's dying, it's sad to see he's lying to his senses
Since he censes pleasure he consents his
Perception's distorted by a few things
His sin, Satan, and how society's moving
Now he can drown and go down with the ship
Or jump and swim in Him who is found in the Script
You might've heard of Christ the life preserver
Came for the nice guys and the type that likes to murder
Tonight's the night for mergers, in this life you might hurt up
But in Christ you can rest at night just like a Serta
[Chorus]
[Verse Three]
If God aint moving, the earth is boring
That's probably why the radio heard me snoring
Four in the morning
Head fell on the horn and I woke up yawning
Like what's going on and
Same goes for the video shows catch me dozing
With the videos don't show Him
I blow in to the room like mist
I just wanna see what's got you throwing your fist
If it's truth then keep them hands pumping high
Like that cause that's sweeter than pumpkin pie
But if you're high on a lie man I can't say nothing
I'm looking at the Lord like man why they frontin?
Maybe they don't know that it's on like that
But teach cats not to sleep like insomniacs
They try to pass us the weed and the Cognac
We stop 'em dead in there tracks like whoa!
Kind of slow your roll
Like traveling over cobblestones carrying a Conestoga coach
I'm wielding the sword of the King
kind of like the thing Aragon was born to swing during The Lord of the Rings
Lord put a song in my heart to
Be the rhythm that I march to toward You
Keep me warm like a Sherlin with grace
As I walk with the wind of the world in my face this
Place is not home and I can sense it
As I roam the earth I've learned how to pitch my tent quick
And break it down taking it down a notch
May I be found to be faithful safely counted in Your flock
Earth is not a safe place to wander
Many of the faith based lay waylaid and conquered
Mainly cause they traded Your honor
For created things being fond of these things kind of
Trying to have two gods ruling
But You're not fooled and You're not cool
With sudo gods dueling, and trying to bump You for Your space
They get in front of You and have us front on You to Your face
I pray for all the soldiers who've fallen
From so strong in their walk to no longer even crawling
And I'm not looking down from so high
Cause I know that there but buy the grace of God would go I
And probably have I'd probably crash
If it wasn't for Your grace covering all my mistakes and other flaws
Lord teach me to learn to love Your law
Like the writer of the Psalm 119 and other songs
[Chorus]
We must press on, press on
Yes, we must press on
[Chorus]
Brothers, are we lovers of pleasure or of God?
If not then let's cross to the other side
Sisters, Yes, do a check
For self respect, check
Don't sell it for wealth and regret
Families, what up
Stay together, pray together
Brave the elements of weather, whether it's sunshine or rain
Do that thing like it's your day job
Work it overtime, over time we'll make 'em praise God
[Verse One]
When they look, they're shook
They're like, where'd you get your wisdom from
I bet it's from that book, cause we don't point to us
We stay pointed up, this is how God appointed us to live
He entrusts His kids with a road map to peace
Cuz the streets is like the Middle East
A beast, but He teaches us to say no
To desires that rage like fires in our souls
Then He goes and shows us what's best
And gives us His mind to help us say yes
And He tells us stay blessed
And to walk in the light
And live like it's day, and not get lost in the night
He helps us to desire what we should
And protects us like a fence unless it's all good
Now you can climb His barbed wire
And get scared by it but how's that gonna make 'em lift God higher
[Chorus]
[Verse Two]
Pac made it cool to be a thug
Why not be the one to make 'em say, "Ok made it cool to be in love with God"
Or "pop ain't no fool he put his trust in God"
I remember when I was in school I put in plugs for God
Back then it was hard to try to find
The balance between the daily and the divine
Now I find that it's just one of those things
That for the Christian those two are one in the same
It's not something we construct ourselves
Scripture instructs us how to conduct ourselves
We're still human beings
Still humans seeing and doing as humans do it's just our views are changing
We don't laugh at all the jokes
Especially when the hope that we hold is called a hoax
No club and bed hoppin'
It's tuff not to sin when you're constantly breaking your neck watchin 'em
I know, she ain't have to where them jeans like that
But that don't mean you gotta stare all at her seems like that
It seems like that's the hardest part of all
Is how to stand strong after standing for the alter call
But we gotta learn to say no
Sometimes we gotta lay low
Not that we rockin' halos we just gotta stay on or J.O
[Chorus]
[Third Verse]
You can clock out but I'm punching mines
Hard workers are getting' harder to find
Like it's quarter to lunch time
But I know some, they aint livin' ho-hum they go gung-ho for the Son
It's not an issue of going to work or not
Tell 'em Tonic, when you're heavenly minded it's the only choice you got
And Ambassador told us Christ soldiers
Like rolling with Him now no more wait til this life's over
Truth gave a shout to my Christians in school
Who decided to be more Christian than cool
And sometimes when you're livin' the truth
You don't have to say a word cause your life is the livin' proof
That's Badia Jeter she said it the sweetest
I'm a spokes model on the runway for Jesus
See, our job
Is to find life and define life without going outside of our God
I go to work, like it's 9 a.m
Trying hard to find me a friend who reminds me of Him
Be distinct, don't let the lines blend
To where they can't tell where you start and the carnal mind ends
[Verse One]
It takes a whole lot to hold your attention span
I mean I gotta be large I'm talking extension - expand
The invention of plans that are grand and sensational
Cuz the appetite of man is almost insatiable
More, not just more but greater than before
Supply the demand, they command encore
Now I'm sure I could do a lil' sumn' sumn'
Rock a couple rhymes, do a show, you know something
I ain't gonna front like God ain't give me nothing
No type of way to display His glory and show Him stuntin'
But the problem comes when I'm in front of them
And they leave wanting me and instead of wanting Him
Now you can see my dilemma, cuz I am just a man
I'll tell loyal fan like Flavor-Flav “I can't do nothing for you man”
I mean I can lie like I'm the shot, say I'm hot
And I got what it takes and I make no mistakes
And I'm great but I am not
[Chorus]
I'm not gonna pitch me so you can pick me
Like I got what you need, if you prick me I bleed
I'm just a man
It's gotta be God
[Verse Two]
This is reason #73
Not to get hung up on a actor the rapper the pastor the reverend and me
Who ever claims to belong on the throne
Needs to bring long lasting satisfaction and never leave you alone
You know those sad and lonely nights
Your superstar in his sup'd up car aint coming to hold you tight
He don't even know where you live
And you ain't goin to see him
You don't even know where they live
But they know that out of sight means out of mind
So they spend mad dough on ads and radio time
It's like they're tryna be everywhere, everywhere a person can stare
Billboards TV screen, the mirror, but I ain't playing that game
Saying my name 50 times in one rhyme just so I can remain in your brain
I don't deserve that kind of mention'n
Only God can condescend to be with men and still be omnipresence
[Chorus]
If you come to the show, go wild go hard
But don't go all out for me go out for God
I'm not worth it I'm not worthless
He did purchase me but only He's worth your worship
[Verse Three]
The fact of the matter is
There's really nothing the matter with being enamored
With someone who has a gift
This is only hazardous
If he's asked to perform a task for which he's really not adequate
Like giving you a reason to live cause see
If your living for him and then he dies then your reason is history
Now what are you living for, sudden death strikes
And all of a sudden it's like, you gotta find a different source
For your soul to get attached
And hope they never let you down but not even Big, was big enough for that
You can get a tat, talking about, “he's still alive”
But like they tell Elvis fans, fam he really died
It's only really God, who has to get this affection
Even after death, Christ has the strength for resurrection
So please don't be fooled by all the “me's”
It could be he, she, another MC or even little old me
Don't that just sound so immature and insecure
That's not what I'm in it for, not at all
Look at them
Take away the video girls and the cars and the flashy clothes and just look at him
There's no comparison, none comes near to Him
Come here listen man, This is the Lord
The depths and the riches of His wisdom and knowledge are beyond searching out
He's from everlasting to everlasting
He dwells in a high and holy place
This is the Lord who inhabits eternity
You inhabit a crib, He inhabits eternity
This life is so emotional
Ups and downs, highs and lows like a rollercoaster
Tossed side to side like a tide in the ocean
I'm praying God will guide me by His Holy Ghost
Before I'm ghost, I sorta hope that the Lord of hosts
Would be more than close
And before my death, that the Lord will just
Pour out a blessing, release me from these thorns in
the flesh
But if He doesn't, will I still love Him, or have a
grudge? But that's the question.
And if He does, Lord, will I stay humble or will my
love go? Or will the blessing?
Will I get caught up, and it get harder for me to
listen? Hmmm...probably!
Well in that case, His grace is sufficient ... Nah
mean?!
My faith is so suspect.
I say I trust yet, without knowing what's next.
It's hard to move me.
It's like I'm paralyzed.
I need faith to see through a new pair of eyes
That's why the scripture's so delicious, dude
To my soul there's no other nutritious food
I need to leap on it, and feast on it in a vicious mood
And not creep on it and sleep on it like it isn't true
Now why would I do that when I know the truth that
Revives us, refuse that
Ask God's heart if you lack
In wisdom, just ask Him
He gives to them lackin'
And hits them with gems that
Can fix them and patch them
This is true see 'cause it's truly a thing of beauty
(think not)
And you'll see 'cause it's juicy like a movie (with a
sick plot)
And usually it's futile to try to move me (so I've
heard)
I'm the tool He uses; there's the beauty (that's God's
Word)
(Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Slow down a little bit. It's just a
sampler...)
It's just this walk is so incredible
Once you embark your heart won't wanna let it go
You start to part with the old you then shed it slow
Then (hello!) there's a brand new you from head to toe
The mirror won't show this
So here's how you know if
You care when God's Spirit is sharin' with those in
Mis-care and you don't miss the chance to come roll
with
Have prayer and come sow with this church
Fill our souls with
(R&R;)
This track is so inspirin'
But it pales in comparison, what could be higher than
(Who?) The subject of our raps - the Great I am
You thought it was me?! (Please) You need to try again
But why man? I'm like you, I'm blessed to be alive, fam
You and I need to fix our eyes set to the sky and
Recognize that even though the signs is endless
That He's wise and He still buys our friendship
(How's that? Look at the cross)
The cross was so bloody yet
It was an awesome offering; look at the love we get
While chicks are huggin' the block and cats are
thuggin' up in it
I'm buggin' at how God ain't flamin' up the oven yet
I live in Sodom, and I can cross the border to Gomorrah
To get more of the whoredom which only breeds boredom
Like DORA their explorin lookin' for what's gonna cure
them
But walk right passed the Lord who bleeded for them
He can save 'em because He gave them a chance to come
He can raise them, let 'em praise Him, plus He can
cancel their sin
It's amazin' how He forgave them, but yet they trample
God's grace
What I'm sayin' is ...
[Verse One]
You want truth then that's what you'll get
Milk it til it's done and then tilt it to the side
Just to get the rest out
Come back with souls every time we conquest out
Bombed your house with actual facts from Messiah
Sent you a fax to match the patch from my tire
Made tracks, perhaps you'll follow
The road to the cross
Take the crossroads if you feel hollow get filled up
More than a tank full
Meet Christ and end up truly thankful
From your heels up to the top of ya
Concealed the truth like a duce duce
Let loose while it Hasan chopped through ya
Had all that lip, you was straight big and bad
Til Christ touched ya hip, and left you zig-zag like Israel
You was stubborn and hard
Now you governed by God and all is well
Fishtail from turning too fast
180 or smash and burn into ash like
Crash dummies, instead of following Christ
You loved the pleasures of life and ice and cash money
Now that's funny, no it's not I'm sensitive
But God's Son was sent to give us a chance to repen
To live and that don't appeal to ya
How should I deal with ya
Knowing that God serves more soul food than Silvia's
[Chorus]
In here, we got x-thugs in here
We got, x-crips, x-bloods in here
We got, x-pimps in here
We got x-x rated chicks in here
We got, nice guys, wise guys in here
We got, good girls, hood girls in here
We got, all types in here
That's right, they hid in Christ they disappeared
[Verse Two]
Like EST and 3Xs Dope or Nas in these rhyme
We wrote we hope you meet the greatest man alive
And get caught up in His family ties
And that all y'all wise guys would come to have ya plans revised
Why wait to give God your life later
Before then you might slip and fall like a ice skater
You say Christ aint your type of flavor
He never claimed to be, He came to be your type of Savior
Cried for you, was tried for you
Buy unjust judges came here just to justify poor you
Died in your place
Two hand slam dunker, right and left punctured told death "in your face"
Took manikins, breathed life in them and revived man again
The champion of the camp we in
Told sin and death you can not win
Now rules on a throne with no known plans of vanishing
Hand to Him, all things before you wreck 'em
Even small kings reject Him and they won't play nice
So get ready for judgment day twice
First the church and then the whole earth
It's time to pay the price
One group will pay Him and the others God will pay them
And the church all over the earth heard and said "amen"
[Chorus]
[Verse Three]
I've done enough dirt to make me dirty enough
To have to shower til clocks in eternity bust
Unworthy of trust, full of lust quick to cuss out
Turn my internal lights on
Nothing but darkness rushed out the light bulb
Til Christ called, asked me to follow Him
Cleaned up my act, lit up my path like a halogen
Gave me a new Father and showed me He was sovereign
Changed what my aim was, plus what I was hollering
Took away my old ways quicker than a dollar spends
Grabbed me by my collar and said "don't even bother them"
But some of those ways stuck around I wallowed in
Sin that almost had me about to drown on the shallow end
He's sandblasting me making me smooth as aloe
He said He wanted to reach Hip-hop and I said I'll go in
1st verse
Every time I connect with Kevin Author
we end up reppin our Heavenly Father
so just relax and chill
in a minute we'll get in it kick some facts and build
it's action packed yup packed with thrills and what
happens'll fill your back with chills
I'm not rapping to get stacks of bills and rock shows
and have the stands packed with girls
what I need with a one night stand
I'm looking for a love to last one life span
anything short of that is sort of whack
caught on your back in more sacks than quarterbacks
and that's not the way I'm rolling out
no wed no bed so I'm holding out
I throw rhymes like spears and darts while I share my
art I hope you hear my heart
here let me tear off a part and help someone out there
steer clear of the dark
for a second
just for a moment
turn off the Lord's opponents
put MTV
BET on pause listen while I speak He gone call and
all yall need to do is answer
it's simple
we're sinful
we're sin soaked
He's sin's soap
plus men's hope
Chorus
Brings hope to the streets
don't we need hope in the streets
watch me bring hope to the streets
watch me bring hope over beats
don't we need life in the streets
watch me bring Christ to the streets
2nd verse
I'm a bible
I'm every chapter and verse
I'm a revival a recital of His actions rehearsed
I'm Jeremiah
a fire burning inside yearning earnestly fevorently
trying to turn men to God
let me ease up on this track
how come
it's just a little to smooth for all that
I'm hoping that a brother don't choose the wrong path
if I do then that means that I'm loose and fall back
gotta tune out the voices this life is full of so many
choices
like I never thought I'd see the day that I would have
to choose between Hip-hop and rap or like the last
election
I don't know who to choose
it was AVP whoever wins we loose
I gotta choose between a lifestyle adult rated
and God's unadulterated Word
now maybe you saying I got a way with words but that's
nothing cause some cat just got away with murder and
I'm not finish my job until they've all heard of the
grace we all need and thy receive Christ in the streets
Chorus
3rd verse
Everyday I pray for the streets
for revival that it begins in me
I'm like
Lord save me from myself or
maybe I need to one myself
not in a physical cense
that's ill
it's not kill Bill I need to kill my will
cause that's we're the problem lies
my pride
my lies what I priorities see
ya man aint perfect but since I was purchased one of
the perks is He purges me
and keeps me in pursuit of His Person and keeps my
engine purring like Persian
cats better recognize Who keeps us stepping like the
electric slide and I
pray for my family too with a whole saved family Lord
what could you do so I pray for Ken and I pray for P.
for Tanya
Shawna
Aaron
Shena
for James
Marcus and Kevin too
for Omar
I pray for Neru
for Joshua
J and Donna
that their whole family could bring you honor
I pray for Tai
I pray for Sha
I pray for Judah
I pray for Zi
I lift up my uncles and pray for my aunts
I lift up my Moms
I pray for my Pops
I pray for Margaret
for the Florida and Alabama family
that we'd all be a part of ya plan for peace
please
take up past religion
past church
past hurts and past divisions so we can pass the vision
along with the legacy to the next generation with each
pregnancy
and I know that this song is getting long but I'm
praying that my family is getting strong and
yeah it takes more than just prayer so I solemnly swear
and volunteer to be there
Lord save all my peeps I pray for 'em each cause if
they could be reached they could take it to the streets
[Verse One]
How do you like your Hip-hop music
Some like it holy, some like it polluted
Some like a crew like The Movement
In tune with the blueprint of Heaven consumed with Life
Hip-hop on a higher level
Hip-hop is not evil, Hip-hop was not created by the Devil
It's just like every other music form
Your soul's been searching for one since you've been born
Looking for something to express
That rhythmic pattern bumpin' in your chest
And it just so happens that these cats rappin'
Have tapped into a key of life, and it strikes for so many people
In so many regions, rap is the way to reach 'em
Nothing is equal, it's as classic as classical
And probably more spiritual than most of the spirituals that you know
That's not just cause I do it
Nope, not just cause it's my music
Nope, but that is how I use it so
I just thought that you should know
I love what it was and what it's become
Musically but between you and me I hate what it's done
How it's run and how the songs of every singer
Sound like sound tracks to match shows of Jerry Springer
We live to it, look at what we did to it
Or what it did to us this is not just music
It's not kid music, these are grown men
On the microphone who like to condone their own sin
For us it's holy ground, Hip-hop is holy now
Long as I got the microphone I'm a hold it down
But when I pass the mic back it's back to you know what
But we don't recommend you listen I mean you know us
[Chorus]
It aint nothing like Hip-hop music
It aint nothing like, it aint nothing like
It aint nothing like Hip-hop music
It's not wrong or right it's how you use it fam
[Verse Two]
Don't let these radio programs through
All they want to do is program you
Hip-hop to the slow jams too
Trying to turn young cats into macks
While keeping our shorties on there backs
Giving it up, all in the name of living it up
Living large off of charge cards with limited bucks
In your pocket, riding with sin like a sidekick
That don't make sense, check the logic
Today's top topics are topless cars and chicks
That's easy, but rhymes are hard to kick
Even if I'm not one of your favorite artists
I'll still set this joint a ablaze like a arsonist
Hip-hop is our and it's a mirror of our hearts
And this is harsh but listen our appearance is marred
If you don't like what you see in the Hip-hop glass
Know the future is a present from the Hip-hop past
And if you don't like the gift it's giving
Than don't rip the ribbon and tip your glass as if this is living
Demand more, let them know you won't stand for it
We gonna have to change if there's no fans for it
This could be holy ground, Hip-hop is holy now
Long as I got the microphone I'm a hold it down
But when I pass the mic back it's back to you know what
But we don't recommend you listen I mean you know us
[Chorus]
[Verse Three]
First you buy the CD, then you buy into
What they saying ain't you tired of them lying to you
It's like false advertisement
They show you guys with whips and chicks but have you ever tried it
You never find love in a one night stand
That's like trying to use a flash light for sunlight tans but
It's not enough light
You probably cried nuff nights with the pain inside bottled up tight
But we, come to release the pressure and weight
Of sin and pull you out like measuring tape
You can, move your body like a snake if you wanna
Then turn around be hollering rape in the corner
I'm not hating on ya, I'm showing love
The kind of love to get you aint gotta go to the club and young
Brothers you aint gotta grow to be thugs rolling on dubbs
What I'm saying is totally bugged
I know this because unless I say I'm holding a snub
Going to pop slugs at homie you don't even budge but
It aint even gotta be like that
I spit life on the mic Christ set me free like that
But, this is holy ground, Hip-hop is holy now
Long as I got the microphone I'm a hold it down
But when I pass the mic back it's back to you know what
Verse 1:
You sure you wanna walk through them doors/
Get on that floor shake for them boys?/
They don't see ya inners all they see is outer
dressing/
And you ain't dressing well enough to keep those fellas
guessing/
You sure you wanna step in that club/
Weapons and drugs reppin' them thugs?/
Your sneaks is clean your neck is bling oh you just
know you ballin'/
You so caught up in all that you don't even know you
fallin'/
You the one that's spinning them tracks/
You spun that track, you had to run that back/
What would happen if all the music that makes your play
list/
Was hated by your Creator and would never make His A
list/
Standing in the club playing clue/
The lights went low and the thugs came through/
The slug came through and hit two in the chest/
They said how you gonna do it/
You said do it to death/
I said
Hook:
We don't know or we don't care/
Either we don't know or we don't care/
We just keep on moving/
Shakin', bouncin', groovin' holler pop your collar/
Study dirge dancin to our own demise
We don't know or we don't care/
Either we don't know or we don't care/
We just keep on moving shakin', bouncin', groovin',
clubbin'/
Brushin' shoulders study dirge dancin to our own demise
Verse 2:
You sure you wanna stand on that block/
Handling the rock, scrambling from cops/
You got locked up and got bailed out but watch out/
'Cause rap sheets can turn to the jail house rock/
You sure you want to be up in them clips, puckering
lips/
Trying to be a video vixen'/
You think teasing and leaving them hot for some action
is sexy/
But what happens when little girls copy the patterns
you set see/
That's why the hood looks like it does/
We don't like what's good or right we love/
Sinning so much it's so much pleasure in the beginning/
But we never think of the pain it causes us in the
ending/
The same cat that came through in coupe/
Doin' dirt on the block came through in a hearse/
Now his crew is pouring liquor like you was the best/
I said how y'all gonna do it they said do it to death/
I said
Hook:
3rd verse
The streets aint the only ones dancing dirge/
The church got they own style ask the clergy/
They see so many cats gliding/
It's like they moon walking when they back sliding/
So you just wanna sit in them pews/
Singing them blues/
The Spirit aint move?/
And If He's moving then how we can't move from our
seats/
And take this blessed message out and bless somebody on
them street/
You sure you wanna master that style/
Dance in them isles, acting all wild/
Is that what life in the church is really all about/
Shoutin' and like musical chairs the music stops we
fall out'/
All outside of what should be the center/
We busy cooking dinners and frowning on crooked
sinners/
Church contest to try to see who's is the best/
We do it so good but why we gotta do it to death/
I guess
[Verse One]
A father sits on his porch reminiscing
About a time when him and his son weren't so distant
And how he misses him
And how if he could just see him again he would run and hug him and kiss him
Miles away a son is thinking the same thing
Until his man hollers and interrupts his day dream
Back to work, but his back it hurts
He's been thinking lately about going back to church
Cuz that would kind of remind him of his roots
Of a time when he wasn't grinding shining others boots
But that's the best he can do now
He's too proud to stay at the group home
Was on his own since he was juvenile
So he sleeps on the streets, using concrete for sheets
And he eats when he eats, and it's so cold
He looks so old but he's young
He hung in the bars all types of scars
Life beat him down it was no holds barred
It's been six years-twenty days
Since he's been gone but how did he get here anyway?
This wasn't how it was supposed to be
Think back to the day before he chose to leave
When he stepped to his dad and he asked for the cash
That he would receive after his dad passed
So that's what he gave him
The father was bothered by the request but after a while he caved in
Said "all of the wealth that I've earned
And saved up must pay for the lessons my son must learn
And I pray that he learns when this is done
This is my one wish for my youngest son"
[Chorus]
How long, how long will the prodigal roam
How long, how long before he comes home
How long, how long will he chase harm
And keep running away from the father's arms
Young, come home
Son, come home
Run, come home
Run, come home
Daughter, come home
You ought to, come home
Run, come home
Run, come home
[Verse Two]
The saga continues
The father gave into the son the son left with his friends who
Really had no cash of their own
Just running the same track wanting too fast to be grown
They figured with these figures in our pockets
We can invest these digits and get even richer than your pop is
Find ourselves a nice good hustle
Buy some protection, find some hood muscle
As soon as we get to another city
We can put this money to work for ourselves and get busy
Buying houses, fixing them up and flipping them
I can just picture getting the dividends rolling in like Michelins
From the time they arrived on the scene
They thrived with his father's business sense in his genes
Of the three he proved to be the smartest
Buy targeted the hottest commodities on the market
They went from knowing and going to the parties
To being the ones with the dough throwing all the parties
Made money money made money money money
And wanted to date honeys so he paid money money
He was killing it, stocking up his chips
Til the economy switched, stock market flipped
At first his properties flying, today nothing's popping
Stocks dropping, nobodies buying
He's over extended in his credit
Selling his cars and cribs to try to pay his dept with
He's left with nada
Friends gone, females bon-voyaged and no one will bother
Is this what chasing pleasure and wealth does
Leaves you out freezing with no help and shelter?
It's helter skelter in his dome
He spends all his time wondering why he left home
[Chorus]
[Verse Three]
Does this sound familiar
I'm sure it's similar the symbolism is bound to kill ya
Who else do we know
That would leave the safety of a loving Father wandering trying to go
To a distant place, and dis His grace
Just to waste His mercy making big mistakes
Then when all is lost and the bridges are burned
And they realize there's nowhere else that they can turn
They turn to the steeple and return to the sheepfold
Isn't that just like God's people?
In every era of time
God's people made the error of severing the ties
With the Father and His love
Aren't you glad He treats us like the father of the prodigal does
When the son finally came to his senses
He realized it was better inside his father fences
Said I wonder if I would returned there
Would I be able to last under the burn of His holy stare
But wasn't aware that the same eyes that hate sin
Had been watching the road and waitin to for him to return again
We spit the real
And it's fact
Not fiction, and it's ill
This wax, I'm itching to scratch
And mix in to the format
Is the Christian life so where's the door mat
With the welcome?
I'm not stopping til I hear Him say "well done"
They know not the waters I draw my well from
My well sprung but I held my tongue til it burst
Drenchin' you not just quenchin' your thirst
Now you're swimming in it
And in a minute it'll diminish your mission
And move God's position to the forefront
This is for all my appalled by evil
With hearts that beat for what the Lord wants
You can call this Christian rap
Oh, what?, You ain't know Christians rap?
I'm strapped with analogies of faith
Waving God's aroma so your soul can see how good He tastes
I'm starving for Him, you are too
You're probably wonderin', "who are you?"
Maybe I'm the last of dying breed
Like a dying steed running his last lap with blinding speed
Or maybe I'm stock from a new breed
Crops from a new seed growing in the soil of earth
If so, give props for the new me, God's doing a new thing
I'm a product of His toil and work
He's the, Master Craftsman
He crafts men after the fashion of the last Adam
Not the first, the first was cursed
We all take after the first one from birth
That's why we must be born again
Otherwise, it can never be on again
So, if you dare to listen
Warning, you will hear content that is very Christian
Warning, this album is just the B side
I gotta say for side A you really need to see me live
At least I pray that's how it is
That the real Phanatik LP would be everyday just the way I live
These dudes need to stop, the uprising it is so
Unwise and there is no, one higher and oh
His empire is so, much flyer than those
Young guys and there clothes, cars and tires and there flows
Are so tired you just know, they all are lying even so
Y'all'll buy 'em I'm like yo, y'all why when there's no truth in it
But disc jocks, these are the same dudes who's music diss God
And even so you spin it, and push ads
And add to the bad
You could push the good but the good doesn't bring enough cash
It's not that the good isn't good enough
It's just that hood is stuck
And you get enough bucks to keep us on smash
Nice moves, everything's astounding
The bling and the money it got a lot of 'em killed awww!
But Christ rules everything around me
So scream if the money ain't got a lot of appeal y'alllll
The love of money is the root to all evil
Money means power, power means pleasure, pleasure that's lethal
But nothings equal to Him, he's better for sure
Plus at His right hand is there is pleasure forevermore
I could say more but must I?
I trust I got it all covered but plus I
Got about eighteen more tracks for y'all
Raw raps repping the LORD, all capitals
So enough with this into, let's go
Let's get on with it, on with the show
Said enough with this intro, let's go
Live on a tiny line
From here to eternity
Hollow men, don’t
Think about a way to transform me
Don’t look at me this way
I’ll run but you can stay
I don’t need some substitutes
To go through empty days
I’m a U.F.O. or an ancient creature
Lost on Earth
I can’t fit into your perfect lives
’Cause I’m
I’M A MAN WITH A THOUSAND VOICES
I’M A MAN WITH A MILLION SOULS
CAN YOU SEE, I HAVE ALL THE CHOICES
SO I’M LAUGHING AT ALL YOU FOOLS
True words, not the lies
Don’t try to search your files
Can’t you see, I have no mask
It’s you who wears disguise
I feel the world inside
I’m the sun and I’m the cloud
You can laugh but I’m the one
In my dreams,
I’m a butterfly, floating in the breeze
But sometimes I feel,
It’s the butterfly dreaming that it’s me
Tell me, which dream is real?
YOU ARE THE DREAMER
CREATE YOUR WORLD
AND FIND YOUR DESTINY
YOU ARE THE DREAM
AND EVERYTHING IS YOURS,
JUST WAIT AND SEE
In this world
There is no place for dreamers
And ain’t no place for dreams
But it’s you to decide how to live
Just a blink and this life disappears
Don’t be washed away by your tears
YOU ARE THE DREAMER
CREATE YOUR WORLD
AND FIND YOUR DESTINY
YOU ARE THE DREAM
AND EVERYTHING IS YOURS,
JUST WAIT AND SEE
Everything is yours,
Preach, fight with life
Fight with rotten rusty lies, with fever in your eyes
Reach my own mind
„Follow me” you say… Virus, go away!
Too late, look at the date
Your time is up, you know
But you never let go, never let go, never let
Go with the flow…
’Cause it’s all about the cash,
Now stop this holy trash!
THE IDOL IN YOUR EYE
IS A WEAPON, MADE HIM DIE
THE PRAYERS THAT YOU SAY
SWEPT MILLIONS AWAY
THE HOUSES OF YOUR LORD
WERE BUILT FROM STOLEN GOLD
YOUR FALSE TWO THOUSAND YEARS
WERE BLOOD AND TEARS
Old man, lay down, close your eyes, now you
Unwear all the Saint Disguise
Can you hear the death-clock’s tick tick tick
Well, the time has come for the final trick
Old man, don’t pray, there’s no aim,
’Cause you know damn well you’ve lost the game
Can you hear the death-bell tolls your name
And you know, where you go,
All the prayers are in vain
You pray a bloody lie, taint the sky,
I feel the pain inside you is rising
I know, you’re dying
If you don’t
Let it out
Let it rage through the nightmare
Don’t hesitate, don’t keep it inside
Let it out
Can you see, you can break through
All bloody walls, and of the lies
Do you want to taste revenge?
The desperate, frozen days have to end
Can you feel this ecstasy, so, get
Out of the mind-cage and follow me
FEEL YOUR MIGHT
JUST LET IT OUT
IT’S ALL RIGHT
NOW IT’S TIME TO FIGHT
FEEL YOUR MIGHT
JUST LET IT OUT
HAVE NO DOUBT
LET YOUR SOUL SHINE BRIGHT
As you lose your self-control
You say good bye to this worn-out role
A new rage is burning through your eyes
Run - You know the time is up, you are not the
One - To take away the melodies with a
Gun - You lie without just a tiny little
Qualm - But now the good times gone
Fear - Try to hide, so very far from
Here - Until you don't hear me screamin' in your
Ear - We don't believe you, what a shame, my
Dear - You're nothing but a broken gear
Go - I never wanna see your face, no
More - You're just a thief, you have robbed my
Soul - I really don't know what the hell is your
Goal - You really need mind control
Pray - You gotta run, you gotta hide
Away - And never, ever try to cross my
Way - And try to control the words you
Say - It's a suicide game you play!
RAIN MAKER
RAIN MAKER, THERE'S NO WATER,
THERE'S NO RAIN, SO
RAIN MAKER
RAIN MAKER, WIND WILL RISE
AND SWEEP YOUR LIES AWAY
Pray (you slave of darkness).
Stay (but you won't do miracles)
Say (your lies but we don't trust you no more)
Cry (you nasty pretender),
Try (to disappear from here)
It’s too late, it’s just our own fate
How did we get this far
Somehow we’ve lost the sight of the Evening Star
Humans blinded by power
Heading for destruction in their deep darkest hour
WHEN YOU SHOOT AT A MAN
YOU SHOOT INTO THE MIRROR
INTO YOUR HEAD
DON’T KILL FOR GOD OR ALLAH
IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU’RE DEAD
The names of your gods won’t help you at all
The holiest goals won’t help when you…
Fall from grace, sin sits on your face
Now it’s a brand new age
It’s now the Kingdom of Hate,
The Place of Rage
Don’t pray, there’s no salvation
Our gun is our god
Symbol of our bloody nation
Shoot at a man…
And you’re dying
You don’t understand:
I’m bleeding on the ground
My soul is frozen
My heart makes a desperate sound
These wings are broken
Black footprints on my back
And an army of scars around
I’m fallen from my track
I’m one with the bloody ground
Hey, somebody save me now
Killing time is ticking inside
Somebody, look at my tortured soul of light
Hey, somebody, answer! Why?
Why can’t you read from my eyes
Take all my treasure
But give me back my life
…AND THE MORNING WILL RISE
IN A WORLD OF DECAY
…AND I OPEN MY EYES
AS I’M FADING AWAY
As the sun burns my heart
I feel it’s pounding faster and faster
As my new spells arise:
’Cause I’m the New Life Caster
Hey, somebody, answer! Why?
Why can’t you read from my eyes
Take all my treasure
Feeling uncontrolled
You’re a mystery to unfold
We are unified
Take me without my pride
REUNITE OUR FANTASIES
AND FLY AGAIN
TAKE ME FAR FROM
ALL THE SORROW, ALL THE PAIN
BREATHE MY PURE DESIRE
AND FEED ME WITH YOUR FIRE
TAKE ME, TAKE ME AGAIN
Feel my fire as it’s raising high
Kiss my spirit and I’ll make you fly
Find my soul in the swirling sea
Take my hand, you better come with me
Torn leaves are one again, dry lakes are filled with rain
(and again and again and again and again..)
Now snakes bite their tails, As we turn the scales
Can’t you see my soul is waiting
Deep in my mind there are
Distant horizons of sunlight
Deep in my dream there’s a scream
But my mouth is sealed
Inside your cover I’m safe like a child
I need you, please hold me tight
Outside I’m blinded to march with the
Thousands of dumb hellspawns
Big brothers control me, they want me
To wear those crimson scars
Where is the end, tell me, why am I here
Shelter my unceasing fear
YOU’RE MY ONLY REASON WHY…
YOU’RE THE ONE WHO GAVE ME LIFE
YOU’RE THE MIRROR, I’M REFLECTED
