An Outcast Of The Islands
Joseph CONRAD (1857 - 1924)
An Outcast of the Islands is the second novel by Joseph Conrad, published in 1896, inspired by Conrad's experience as mate of a steamer, the Vigar. The novel details the undoing of Peter Willems, a disreputable, immoral man who, on the run from a scandal in Makassar, finds refuge in a hidden native village, only to betray his benefactors over lust for the tribal chief's daughter. The story features Conrad's recurring character Tom Lingard, who also appears in Almayer's Folly (1895) and The Rescue (1920), in addition to sharing other characters with those novels. This novel was adapted for the screen in 1952 by director Carol Reed, featuring Trevor Howard as Willems, Ralph Richardson as Lingard, Robert Morley, and Wendy Hiller. (Summary by Wikipedia)

A dublagem
Ela consegue atualizar a trama e as expressões.

1. Aconteceu na cidade que não dorme
2. Uma fada no beco
3. Armadilha na terra dos brinquedos
4. O namoro da bela e a fera
5. A maçã envenenada
6. Como cozinhar porquinhos
8. O anjo de El Dorado
9. Um buquê de flores para um anjo
10. O chapeuzinho vermelho do lobo
11. O mágico perdido
12. Quem pegara o passaro azul
13. Uma Cinderela que nunca dorme

Margaret Lockwood Interviewed on TV
British Cinema Legend Margaret Lockwood's appearance on Saturday Night at the Mill - BBC, 19 April 1980. She was promoting her last acting work, 'Motherdear', a stage play. It's one of very few filmed interviews that exist of this great lady. Sadly she spent most of the rest of her life in seclusion at her Richmond home, where she lived until she died aged 73 in July 1990.

Far beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protégée Christine Daaé is so strong that even her heart cannot resist.
The musical opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. Now in its 30th record-breaking year, The Phantom of the Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End, after more than 11,000 performances.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mesmerizing score along with jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life each night.

Martha Hyer was born on August 10, 1924 in Fort Worth, Texas. Once she finished her formal schooling, Martha played a bit role in 1946's The Locket (1946). Slowly, Martha began picking up roles with more and more substance. The best years for the beautiful actress began in 1954 when she played in films such as Down Three Dark Streets (1954), Showdown at Abilene (1956) and Battle Hymn (1957). Perhaps the best role of her long career was as "Gwen French" in 1958's Some Came Running (1958) in which she starred opposite Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Shirley MacLaine. As a result of her stellar role, Martha received an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress, but she lost out to Wendy Hiller in Separate Tables (1958). Afterwards, Martha's stint on the US silver screen's trailed off some. She did make a handful of foreign films, returning to appear in the US from time to time, but nothing compared to the pace she had in the fifties. Her last film was in 1973 in the film The Day of the Wolves (1971). In 1966, she married producer Hal B. Wallis and remained with him until his death in 1986.Hyer enjoyed a quiet retirement through the 80s and 90s. She lived until May 31, 2014 when she died in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she had lived for many years, at age 89 of natural causes
