A Broken System: Should Patched Games Be Re-scored?
25d ago ... Assassin’s Creed Unity, Batman Arkham Knight on the PC, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, what do these 3 games have in common? They are all recent examples of games that released full of bugs and glitches to the point of being almost unplayable in some cases. Years ago the only thing this meant was buy at your own risk. Nowadays however things are a bit more complicated. With the advent of online syst...Why I love Fallout so much
35d ago ... Like a lot of people growing up in the 80's and 90's, my first experience with anything "post apocalyptic" was the Mad Max film series. I loved Westerns and I loved Sci-Fi but the marriage of those two genres seemed doomed to failure. But like so many things, it doesn't exist until it does - someone just needed to make it work. And Australian director George Miller finally made it work in a mas...September Contest Winners

38d ago ... 1. Happy Ending Mod A big controversy erupted upon Mass Effect 3’s release, with many players and myself were disappointed with the game’s original endings as they killed the character that we have come to love. To address this uproar, BioWare went out of the line, and delivered a free DLC which didn’t change the ending, but gave a more detailed look at the whole affair. That’s when MEHEM came...Assassin's Creed: Syndicate has to be a gamechanger
47d ago ... Assassin's Creed should be a Metal Gear Solid or an Uncharted. But it's not. And how could it be? Its meteoric rise following the second and third installments (which were brilliant in their own right) has been marred by cruddy endings and cash grab attempts. It's one of the things that makes me ambivalent, because in the midst of being nostalgic about the dreamy soundtrack and immersion...Memoirs of a Senior Gamer: My Kingdom for a Manual

82d ago ... The original Harvest Moon series - now known as Story of Seasons (series) - first released on the SNES way back in 1996, a time when crazy pants were all the rage and the world was about to be hit by a major disaster... The Spice Girls. For all these years Story of Seasons has been master of the farm simulation / rpg genre, largely due to the fact that no other developer cared enough to cha...At a Glance: Clever-Plays

108d ago ... From Lou "herobyclicking" Adducci As a much younger man I was interested in various world religions, the occult and magic. I frequented old bookstores, new age shops and talked with the interesting, if not bizarre practitioners of these various systems of belief. Magic and mysticism is abound in our world, you just have to look for it. Clever Plays infuses Leap of Fate with our storie...Witcher vs Witcher 2
108d ago ... This is my comparison between Witcher vs Witcher 2. I played Witcher 2 first then went back to play Witcher. I beat Witcher 2 three times and beat Witcher twice. I haven't played Witcher 3 but I don't like how the game, series and the developer gets praise for things other rpg developers have done. The first Witcher had a much better user interface that was made for a PC rpg. Witcher 2's...Cuphead Preview
114d ago ... From Valenka Cuphead, an upcoming indie, run-and-gun platformer, made headlines last year during E3 2014 when Microsoft showcased a montage of forthcoming indie titles, including brief scenes of the game from Canadian developer, Studio MDHR. Back then, there wasn’t much information surrounding Cuphead aside from its classic animation aesthetic, and that was more than enough to capture...Preview: Keep Yourself A-RIVE

120d ago ... From Valenka It should be noted first and foremost that the version of Earthlock: Festival of Magic that I played was so very early in development that it only really showcased the visual art style and basic combat mechanics... and that was enough to make me want to experience the final version when it launches. It isn’t every day that I get a taste of a project in development and kee...At a Glance: Poppermost Productions
