HALFWORLDS S01 E02 Sarah is pulled deeper into the Demit world and she can't shake the feeling of being followed. Cast: Sarah (Salvita Decorte), in her 20s, is a phenomenally talented street artist with a dark and tragic past - orphaned when her parents were brutally killed during the ’98 riots. Sarah was forced to live on the streets where she eventually ended up in a juvenile home. Headstrong and resourceful, she will do anything for the people she loves. This includes her indie rocker boyfriend Coki and her best friend, Pinung. Her world is about to unravel when a mysterious stranger walks into her life and turns it upside down. Barata (Arifin Putra), driven by guilt and redemption, Barata returns to Jakarta when he discovers the Gift is about to happen again. And this time there is nothing he won’t do to make sure history does not repeat itself. Detective Gusti (Bronti Palare) is a veteran cop who works for Juragan but is also determined to champion the right cause, given the right situation. His weapon of choice – a .45 and a gnawing conscience. He is suspicious of Sarah and against Juragan’s orders, embarks on his own investigative journey. Nadia (Adinia Wirasti) has been under the thrall of Juragan’s family all these years, but no one really knows what they have over her. Nadia’s strength and fighting skills make her feared by all the Demit around. Juragan (Ario Bayu), 40s, comes from a lineage of shamanic priests. He is also a politician who wields a vast amount of power, which he uses to keep the Demit existence hidden from mortal men. He is accustomed to a life of power and prestige, and is usually surrounded by bodyguards and servants. Pinung, (Aimee Saras) in her 20s, is a tattooist without tattoos. Beneath that goth-rock-nerdish exterior lies a true romantic, which is the main reason she doesn’t have a tattoo. She just hasn’t found the right image for that kind of intimacy, something so deep and meaningful. Ever the romantic, Pinung has chosen to fall in love with someone she can’t attain, her best friend Sarah’s boyfriend, Coki - who just happens to be her oldest friend as well. Coki (Nathan Hartono), 20s, is an ordinary guy who has fallen in love with an extraordinary woman – Sarah. And it is Sarah and her life which exemplifies so much of what Coki is striving for. While Coki is a very talented musician, to really make his mark on the world, he needs to find his own voice. And that means Coki has to be man enough to step into the darkness. Tari (Putri Balqis) is a sightless 7 year old who unwittingly finds herself a lot closer to the Halfworlds than she realizes. Tony (Reza Rahardian), a 30s looking immortal Demit, is strong and powerful. By himself, he is probably one of the best Demit fighters. Together with his soul-mate Ros, they leave a trail of death and destruction wherever they go. Ros (Tara Basro) is a blood thirsty Demit who seduces anything with a pulse. Travelling with her soul-mate Tony, Ros constantly thirsts for blood, power, and the decimation of the human population. Marni (Hannah Al-Rashid) possesses similar powers and abilities to Nadia. She is not as feared, but is working her way to becoming the most feared Demit in Jakarta. Gorga (Alex Abbad) is a Demit who was forced to do things that he has spent the rest of his life trying to undo. He currently presides on the Demit Council to make amends for his checkered past. Hasan (Verdi Solaiman) is one of the wisest Demit out there. Worn out and weary from a life of making Demit weapons, Hasan longs to live a simple and quiet life among the humans. Bandi (Cornelio Sunny) heads the Demit Council. He has taken up the task of making the difficult decisions for the good of Demit-kind.
