Plot: In 1765 something was stalking the mountains of central France. A 'beast' that pounced on humans and animals with terrible ferocity. Indeed they beast became so notorious that the King of France dispatched envoys to find out what was happening and to kill the creature. By the end, the Beast of Gevaudan had killed over 100 people, to this day, no one is entirely sure what it was, wolf? hyena? or something supernatural? Whatever it was, shepherds had the same life-expectancy as the red-suited guys in 'Star Trek'. The Beast is a popular myth in France, albeit one rooted firmly in reality; somewhat surprisingly it is little known to the outside world, and perhaps incredibly it has never been made into a movie. Until now... Based on the true story of the Beast of the Gevaudan that terrorized France in the mid-XVIIIth century, the movie aims to tell first and explain afterwards. In the first part, a special envoy of the King of France, altogether biologist, explorer and philosopher, arrives in the Gevaudan region, in the mountainous central part of France. The Beast has been attacking women and children for months and nobody has quite been able to harm it or even take a good look at it. In the second part, our hero Chevalier de Fronsac will not only have to fight the Beast, but also ignorance, bigotry and conspiracy and will rely on two women, one an aristocrat, the other a prostitute, as well as the enigmatic Mani, an Iroquois he met in New-France (Canada).

Quotes:
Jean-Francois de Morangias: So tell me sir, do they speak of the beast in Paris?::Gregoire De Fronsac: Speak of it? They're already singing songs about it.::Geneviève de Morangias: Instead of singing songs, they should be saying prayers.
Jean-Francois de Morangias: Congratulations. If I had both my hands, I'd applaud you.
Jean-Francois de Morangias: You are too late. The beast is immortal.::Gregoire de Fronsac: IT may be immortal, but YOU aren't!
Mani: All women have the same color when the candle is out.
Jean-Francois de Morangias: Ghost or not, I'll split you in two.
Gregoire De Fronsac: [showing the dinner audience the trout with black hair] Salmo truta dermopilla from Canada.
[Examining Jean-Francois's custom-made gun]::Gregoire De Fronsac: A silver bullet? Are you afraid of werewolves?::Jean-Francois de Morangias: I like to sign my shots.
[about Jean-Francois's missing arm]::Gregoire De Fronsac: How did it happen?::Jean-Francois de Morangias: I learned that sometimes one bullet doesn't suffice.
[Sylvia stabs Jean-Francois's dead body]::Capitaine Duhamel: He was dead.::Sylvia: Now it's certain.
Sylvia: Do you know how Florentine women ensure their husbands come home? Every morning they slip him a slow poison, and every evening the antidote. That way, when the husband spends the night away, he has a very bad night.::Gregoire De Fronsac: You needn't resort to that.

Travel video about destination Corinth in Greece.
Between the Greek mainland and Peloponnes are the extensive ruins of ancient Corinth. Of the city's former magnificence, only a few Doric columns of the 6th century Apollo Temple have survived. Due to its favourable location and fertile soil, three thousand years ago during the Neolithic period the first settlements were established in this region.

Tour of Turkey & Greece
A group of students from ORU, led by two theology professors, took a trip around Turkey and Greece, in the footsteps of Apostle Paul and Apostle John. Some of the cities we visited included Ephesus, Sardis, Laodicea, Philadelphia, Smyrna, and Pergamum--these were 6 of the 7 churches that had letters written to them in Revelation 2 and 3.
We also visited Hierapolis, Athens, and Corinth, all Bibli

Travel video about destination Corinth in Greece.
Between the Greek mainland and Peloponnes are the extensive ruins of ancient Corinth. Of the city's former magnificence, only a few Doric columns of the 6th century Apollo Temple have survived. Due to its favourable location and fertile soil, three thousand years ago during the Neolithic period the first settlements were established in this region.146 B.C. marked the end of Classical Corinth. The Romans devastated and plundered the ancient metropolis and enslaved its people and for almost a hundred years the ruins were uninhabited but, due to Caesar, new life returned to the city. Surrounded by the pure, wild beauty of Nature, the ruins blend harmoniously into the magnificence of the surrounding landscape. From a medieval fortress, in the distance there are the remains of an ancient Corinthian port and even today shipping plays an important role in the everyday life of this ancient city.

original .mov file, shot with DJI Phantom 3 quadcopter
This flight begins in the unexcavated land over the late Roman colonnaded avenue that passed in front of the Bath-Gymnasium Complex and Byzantine Shops. Flying into the current excavation area, the mass of collapsed marble blocks is a discovery of 2014: a huge three-bayed monumental arch, 33 m wide and perhaps originally 24 m tall. Its central span of 13 m makes this among the largest, if not the largest freestanding arch in the Roman world. It incorporates a number of fluted column drums, spolia from the Roman conversion of the Temple of Artemis. All that remains now, however, are the supporting piers (one, on the left nearer to the Bath-Gymnasium Complex, was excavated and cleared of its collapse in the 1960s and 1970s; the other, next to the modern road, is mostly buried by marble blocks), and a tiny percentage of its superstructure. The rest has fallen victim to the lime kilns. The arch seems to have collapsed in the early 7th century AD; and it is significant that the main road through Sardis was never completely cleared after the collapse, but remained obstructed by debris; after this time, most buildings of the lower city seem to have been abandoned, marking the end of Sardis as a city.
As the camera rises it passes over the complex superimposed remains of sector MMS/N. These include the Lydian gate in the fortification wall (protected in modern times by a roof, whose panels were removed but whose steel frame remains in place here), and remains of the Roman road and colonnaded sidewalk that passed over the stub of the Lydian gate. In this view we see, therefore, three phases of the main thoroughfare from the Aegean coast to central Anatolia, spanning almost 3,000 years: the modern highway; the Roman marble-paved avenue, passing through a monumental arch at the entrance to the city; and underneath that, the Lydian road as it passed through one of the main gates in the Lydian fortification.
Turning south, we see the mixture of permanent and temporary roofs that protect the Lydian fortification and Roman houses of sectors MMS and MMS/S. Turning around to the north, we come to the Bath-Gymnasium Complex and, in the foreground, the Synagogue. Turning further still, we see the mounds on the north side of the city. We return to archaeologist Jude Russo, architect Brianna Bricker, and assistant director Bahadır Yıldırım studying the fallen blocks of the arch.

Our cruise ship had called in the Port of Kusadasi, Turkey. The highlight of our tour today would be Ephesus, ruins of the ancient city.
Our first stop was the House of Virgin Mary (please see previous video). Now, we head to Ephesus. Ephesus was an ancient Greek city[2][3] on the coast of Ionia, three kilometres southwest of present-day Selçuk in İzmir Province, Turkey.
According to Wiki, Ephesus was built in the 10th century BC on the site of the former Arzawan capital by Attic and Ionian Greek colonists. During the Classical Greek era it was one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League. The city flourished after it came under the control of the Roman Republic in 129 BC.
According to estimates Ephesus had a population of 33,600 to 56,000 people in the Roman period, making it the third largest city of Roman Asia Minor after Sardis and Alexandria Troas.
Our guide pointed out that the population estimates, in most likelihood, did not account for the slaves. During those times, families were likely to have up to 8 slaves. Therefore the population might easily have been triple the official records, if not even more.
Ephesus was famed for the Temple of Artemis (completed around 550 BC), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Not much of the temple remains today.
The city's importance as a commercial center declined as the harbor was slowly silted up by the Cayster River (Küçük Menderes). Today, the coastline is at least 8km away from the Harbour Gate.
This is Part 1 of 3 parts of my videos taken in Ephesus.
In this video, we enter the ancient ruins via the Magnesia gate. We were blessed with good weather (the day before it was pouring). Bear in mind this place is completely unsheltered, other than the Roman Terrace Houses that we will visit in Part 2 of the video. Therefore, it would be wise to bring an umbrella.

My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

We also visited Hierapolis, Athens, and Corinth, all Biblical sites where Paul and his companions did ministry in, along with some other ancient cities as well.
This trip was very rewarding for our team, because it brought many parts of the Bible to life as we saw the very places where the stories took place.
I hope you enjoy watching this short video showing some of the highlights of our trip!
