A new Air­bus A321-211 for the Thomas Cook Group Air­lines

After three years, the pro­ject of in­te­grat­ing the first Air­bus A321 has found its suc­cess­ful fin­ish: Since June, 6th 2013, the new Air­bus A321 is fly­ing for the Ger­man air­line Con­dor. It is the first of 23 new air­craft which will be brought into ser­vice at Thomas Cook Group Air­lines. In Febru­ary 2014, the air­craft will being trans­ferred to Thomas Cook Air­lines UK where it will then be de­ployed for de­par­tures from the UK on a per­ma­nent basis. The spec­i­fi­ca­tions for the Air­bus A321 were de­fined by a pro­ject team com­pris­ing col­leagues from across all air­lines in Thomas Cook Group, rep­re­sent­ing the spe­cif­ic needs of each air­line. The air­craft was chris­tened "Voy­ager An­droid"; the name was cho­sen in a Thomas Cook Group com­pe­ti­tion by the em­ploy­ees. "Voy­ager An­droid" was cre­at­ed by Har­ri­et Green, Chief Ex­ec­u­tive of the Thomas Cook Group. It de­scribes the car­ri­er's vi­sion of al­ways being avail­able to its cus­tomers re­gard­less of where they hap­pen to be, and so the term also stands for the Group's fu­ture, for tech­nol­o­gy, com­fort and the best cus­tomer ser­vice. A film­ing team and a pho­tog­ra­pher at­tend­ed the air­craft´s as­sem­bly, paint­ing plus the de­liv­ery cer­e­mo­ny in Ham­burg-Finken­werder and the in­au­gu­ral event in Berlin-Schöne­feld. In ad­di­tion to the two video on the as­sem­bly and the paint­ing, the third video form the fi­nal­i­sa­tion of this for the Thomas Cook Group Air­lines im­por­tant and spe­cial pro­cess.
