Sam wants to be friends with Jessy first

‘Sam Milby wants to get to know her better before they move to the next stage.’

JESSY Mendiola denies the current buzz that she’s now Sam Milby’s girl.
In fairness to Sam, he himself dismisses the report and said it is plain speculation. He admits that he’s attracted to Jessy and is planning to pay court to her.
But if ever this happens, Sam continued, he will do it the proper way. He’d first befriend Jessy, so the two of them would know each other well before things get serious. Again, if ever he courts her.
Sam, as we all know, remains single after his much-publicized break-up with Anne Curtis, who is now openly in love with Erwan Heussaff, brother of GMA 7 talent, Solenn Heussaff. Theirs – Sam and Anne’s – if we remember right, was a bitter separation.
In the case of Jessy, she is not linked to anyone right now. She has cleared report that she and Matteo Guidicelli had a romance while they were taping their show, “Paraiso.”
On her past with JM de Guzman, who, for health reasons is inactive in showbiz at the moment, Jessy begs not to make further comment anymore.
In any case, her lovelife might be quiet at the moment, but where her showbiz career is concerned, she cannot be happier.
Predicted to be the next most important Star Magic talent, Jessy will appear as Maria Mercedes in the adaptation of a telenovela which topbilled popular Mexican superstar, Thalia.
Jessy is also scheduled to appear in a Star Cinema movie that will team her up with John Lloyd Cruz. Also part of the cast are seasoned performers Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta.

Sam is also busy.
Fresh from his portrayal as a brutal partner torn between two women –Judy Ann Santos and KC Concepcion – in the recently-completed series, “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,” Sam now plays the leading man of Eugene Domingo in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “Kimmy Dora Prequel.”
“First time kong masabak sa comedy and I’m looking forward to it,” he excitedly said. “I told our director, Cris Martinez, that I want to undergo a comedy workshop, bago ako magsimulang mag-shooting.
“Sana, mapagbigyan ako,” he beamed.
Piolo Pascual and Direk Joyce Bernal are two of the producers of “Kimmy Dora Prequel.”

Andi Eigenmann admits she’s hurt by the intrigues and controversies attached to her persona. What is worst, she sighs, is it seems to never end.
“Pagkatapos ng isa,” she smiled wryly, “hayan, at may kasunod na naman.
“Like now that I have this series, ‘Galema,’ sabi sabi, I fit daw the role to a T. Whatever they mean by that… I certainly am affected by it.
“But as Direk Wenn (Deramas, her director in ‘Galema’) said, huwag ko na lang intindihan kung anuman ang sasabihin ng iba. Basta ang mahalaga, maganda at challenging ang role ko sa ‘Galema.’ And all I need to do is deliver.”
Both Andi and Direk Wenn agree that “Galena,” which will premiere on Sept. 16 on ABS-CBN, is a potential top rater. They are glad it has an afternoon timeslot. “Kaya, mapapanood ng mga bata,” stated Andi, “pati ni Ellie (her daughter), na nakikilala na ako tuwing napapanood niya ako sa TV. Tiyak, magwu-wonder siya why I have those two snakes.”
Also in the cast of “Galema” are Matteo Guidicelli, the Cruz cousins – Sheryl and Sunshine – Meg Imperial, Carlos Morales, Lito Legaspi and senior actress Divina Valencia, who plays Galema’s grandmother.

In her movie “Momzilla,” which will be shown on the same week as the airing of “Galema,” viewers surely will laugh like there’s no tomorrow, considering that Andi has local showbiz’ foremost comediennes – Maricel Soriano and Eugene Domingo – for co-stars.
It is her first time to work with both. Did Andi have a good time?
“Actually, not only did I have fun. Na-enjoy ko rin na sa tuwina, all what we did was laugh and laugh. Kahit kasi wala sa harap ng camera, both Tita Maricel and Mama Eugene do things na ikinatutuwa naming lahat sa set.
“Now that we have finished the movie, I miss them,” Andi further related.
“Momzilla,” also by Direk Wenn, is her first time to be paired with Billy Crawford, who proved as witty as his co-stars.
Completing the cast are Joey Paras, Candy Pangilinan, Paul Jake Castillo, Mel Martinez, Luz Valdez, Eagle Riggs and Divina Valencia.

‘It is entirely possible that politicians run for congressman or senator in expectation of largesse from the pork.’
