The Pritzker family is one of the wealthiest families in the United States, being near the top of Forbes magazine’s “America’s Richest Families” list since the magazine began it in 1982.
The family is most famous for owning the Hyatt hotel chain, and the Marmon Group, conglomerate of manufacturing and industrial service companies which has since been sold to Berkshire Hathaway. Other holdings have included the Superior Bank of Chicago, the TransUnion credit bureau and the Royal Caribbean cruise line.

Marmon Motor Car Company was an automobile manufacturer founded by Howard Marmon and owned by Nordyke Marmon & Company of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. It was established in 1902 and was merged and renamed in 1933. They produced cars under the Marmon brand. It was succeeded by Marmon-Herrington and later the Marmon Motor Company of Denton, Texas. The name currently survives through the Marmon Group of Chicago, Illinois.
The Model 32 of 1909 spawned the Wasp, winner of the first Indianapolis 500 motor race. This car featured the world's first rear-view mirror.

This year Marmon Mok participated in the San Antonio CANstruction event, organized by AIA San Antonio and Society for Design Administration. A group of our staff designed a structure made entirely out of canned food that will be displayed at North Star Mall from September 14-26. At the conclusion of the exhibit 100% of the cans will be donated to the San Antonio Food Bank to support families in need.
The End of Hunger: Anything’s Popsicle
The same way ice cream tastes better served out of a musical truck, the world looks better when we imagine it without hunger. What better way to call attention to the disheartening truth of food disparity than a nostalgic look at some classic Popsicle favorites. First up, the Ice Cream Sandwich reminds us that it would be a sweet treat to end hunger. The Creamsicle dares us to dream of the day that hunger will end. The Super Twin promotes a unified effort of sticking together to fight hunger. And finally, the Bomb Pop, in all of its patriotic glory, signifies helping those in need is part of the American way. Isn’t it refreshing to end hunger one can at a time? Anything is Popsicle!

This was a project of the Community-Based Project (JCP Module) of the Faculty Engineering, Built Environment Technology and Information of the University Of Pretoria
As engineering students from the university , we were asked to participate in a community project. We decided to build an IBR roof over a WWII reconnaissance vehicle at the Smuts House Museum
The Marmon-Herrington MK.IV was severely rusted and had a lot of debris inside from nearby trees.
We gave it a good clean on the inside, built a roof, put gravel beneath it, placed a few sandbags to prevent mud from flooding the gravel, and made an information plate with a summary of the vehicle's history to raise awareness.
It feels great to spend a few days away from the books, implementing a few things we learnt and give a little bit back to the community.

This year Marmon Mok participated in the San Antonio CANstruction event, organized by AIA San Antonio and Society for Design Administration. A group of our staff designed a structure made entirely out of canned food that will be displayed at North Star Mall from September 14-26. At the conclusion of the exhibit 100% of the cans will be donated to the San Antonio Food Bank to support families in need.
The End of Hunger: Anything’s Popsicle
The same way ice cream tastes better served out of a musical truck, the world looks better when we imagine it without hunger. What better way to call attention to the disheartening truth of food disparity than a nostalgic look at some classic Popsicle favorites. First up, the Ice Cream Sandwich reminds us that it would be a sweet treat to end hunger. The Creamsicle dares us to dream of the day that hunger will end. The Super Twin promotes a unified effort of sticking together to fight hunger. And finally, the Bomb Pop, in all of its patriotic glory, signifies helping those in need is part of the American way. As engineering students from the university , we were asked to participate in a community project. We decided to build an IBR roof over a WWII reconnaissance vehicle at the Smuts House Museum
The Marmon-Herrington MK.IV was severely rusted and had a lot of debris inside from nearby trees.
We gave it a good clean on the inside, built a roof, put gravel beneath it, placed a few sandbags to prevent mud from flooding the gravel, and made an information plate with a summary of the vehicle's history to raise awareness.
It feels great to spend a few days away from the books, implementing a few things we learnt and give a little bit back to the community.

"Garrett is a middle aged down on his luck, blue collar hit man. Unlike the hit men in Hollywood, Garrett keeps getting the low paying gigs with potentially disastrous consequences. With only one hit left to retirement and his dream home in Whitefish Bay, Garrett himself gets caught up in someone elses murder. With four dollars to his name he must help Mike out in order to get out of town."

Director Statement -
Beef Jerky was originally filmed in 2004 with a high school friend of mine and an ex-employer. It started early in the year as a joke but was soon finished in May 2004. It was filmed with a Hi-8 camera that my friend borrowed from his mom. In November of 2010 my brother in law came to me with a new revised script and we decided to shoot it. With some tax return money and a few calls to some friends, we started pre-production. In February 2011 we started filming principle photography, and then wrapped up on October 30 2011. The movie was mostly finished early 2012 but was not finalized until February 2015. Now that the film is complete, I am excited to share it with everyone.
Though this was my first film to direct, I am sure it will not be the last. On future projects, though, I will not be the producer, writer, director, and tech all at the same time. I met a wildly talented group of filmmakers on the project and hope to make some more films with them in the future.
My biggest thanks is to my second director of photography: Philip Walker. If it weren't for him, this project may never have been completed. He helped bring the film together and got us some amazingly difficult shots. If you see him around, ask him how he filmed the car pulling into the cattle farm.
