Dayton's WHIO-TV reports on taxpayer frustration in southwest Ohio over wasteful spending on road signs touting the "stimulus." Prohibiting these signs and recapturing funds spent is currently being offered as an idea on AmericaSpeakingOut.com and YouCut.
Here are some clips from WHIO-TV, channel 7, in Dayton, Ohio from a Saturday morning newscast. Reg Chapman was filling in for Sally Taylor, and I'm not sure what the deal was with the weather guy (Dave Harmon). If my memory serves me, he was a part-timer/freelancer/fill-in of some sort. Maybe held another job outside of TV... watch his forecast, you'll get the idea. We also are treated to a pre-recorded morning sports report by Mike Hartsock, as well as what appears to be a sweeps piece by legendary one-man-bander Steve Baker. All in all, a solid effort by the weekend staff. Caught a layering issue with their Chyron channels off the top. The lower/bug gets buried by the OTS.
Hosted by Jim Baldridge, featuring Jamie Simpson

Mike Scinto is joined on WHIO-TV and Radio in Dayton, Ohio in this edition by Bruce Asbury, wildly popular Weather Specialist for Newscenter 7 dealing with his recent arrest on narcotics charges. My friend Bruce is aware I am posting this and realizes it is part of broadcasting history in Dayton. He is missed on Dayton television. He was one of the last true "personalities" on TV or radio here.

The siren on the street outside, didn't even turn your head
It couldn't cut the silence between us in this bed
You're staring at your wall and I'm staring at mine
So we don't have to see each other cry
Back to back heartaches, side to side tears
If we don't face the problem the pain won't disappear
There's still some love between us, why else would we be here
With back to back heartaches and side to side tears
We lie here like statues in some ancient tomb
Man, it sure gets lonely with five walls in one room
This wall we built between us, we had to tear it down
But one of us will have to turn around
Back to back heartaches, side to side tears
If we don't face the problem the pain won't disappear
There's still some love between us, why else would we be here
With back to back heartaches and side to side tears
There's still some love between us, why else would we be here
