WHTU is an Oldies and Classic Hits formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Big Island, Virginia, serving Lynchburg, Bedford, and Buena Vista in Virginia. WHTU is owned and operated by Todd P. Robinson, Inc.
On November 2, 2012, WXCF-FM split from its simulcast with WKHF and changed their format to Urban Adult Contemporary, branded as "Hot 103.9". On December 12, 2012, WXCF-FM changed their call letters to WHTU to go with the "Hot 103.9" branding.
On June 2, 2014, WHTU changed their format to Oldies and Classic Hits, branded as "Good Time Oldies 103.9", with programming from Westwood One's "Good Time Oldies" network. The branding was later shortened to the current "Oldies 103.9". In August 2015, WHTU began simulcasting on sister station WZZI at 106.9 FM.
WXCF is a Light Adult Contemporary broadcast radio station licensed to Clifton Forge, Virginia. WXCF serves Clifton Forge and Covington. WXCF is owned and operated by Todd P. Robinson, Inc.
WXCF launched in 1950. On November 19, 2012, WHTU switched its callsign from the long-time WXCF to WHTU. On December 5, 2012, the station's callsign was switched from WHTU back to WXCF. Sometime in 2014, WXCF began simulcasting sister station WJVR.
