In the third episode of Dream of Italy (new PBS travel series), we go to the green heart of Italy- Umbria. In Perugia, host Kathy McCabe In Perugia, we meet two women carrying on their family traditions — Maddalena Forenza creating stained glass and Marta Cucchia and her handmade textiles. Just outside Perugia, at the Perugina Chocolate School, chocolate maestro Massimiliano Guidubaldi teaches host Kathy McCabe to make the famous Baci candy. Then it is into the countryside around Montefalco to visit the ultra-modern winery Tenuta Castelbuono and learn about the local Sagrantino grape with Marco Caprai at the Arnaldo Caprai vineyard. Kathy enjoys a cooking lesson with Chef Salvatore Denaro. We are then off to a goat cheese farm to meet Diego Calcabrina and his goats and then it is time to harvest precious saffron and forage for greens with Marta Giampiccolo. After the explosion of a train only five survivors in a wagon, a general, an English Lord, a young German named Werner, a girl named Aimée and novelist named Emily owns a house in Umbria, where invited to stay while recovered. While they take time to reflect on their lives a policeman willing to clarify the causes of an accident occurs. But when the American uncle arrives Aimée willing to take it, the group balance is altered. It seems that the house Umbria can not give happiness to all.
He was nominated for two Golden Globes for best miniseries and best actress for Maggie Smith.

Mientras se toman su tiempo para reflexionar sobre sus vidas aparece un policía dispuesto a aclarar las causas del accidenta. Pero cuando llega el tío americano de Aimée dispuesto a llevársela, el equilibrio del grupo se altera. Parece ser que la casa de Umbría no puede brindarles la felicidad a todos.

Umbria is a region of modern central Italy. It is one of the smallest Italian regions and the only peninsular region that is landlocked. Its capital is Perugia. Assisi and Norcia are historical towns associated with St. Francis of Assisi, and St. Benedict.
Umbria is bordered by Tuscany to the west, the Marche to the east and Lazio to the south. Mostly hilly or mountainous, its topography is dominated by the Apennines, with the highest point in the region at Monte Vettore on the border of the Marche, at 2,476 m (8,123 ft), and the Tiber valley basin, with the lowest point at Attigliano, 96 m (315 ft). It is the only Italian region having neither coastline nor common border with other countries.
The Tiber river forms the approximate border with Lazio, although its source is just over the Tuscan border. The Tiber's three principal tributaries flow southward through Umbria. The Chiascio basin is relatively uninhabited as far as Bastia Umbra. About 10 km (6 mi) further it joins the Tiber at Torgiano. The Topino, cleaving the Apennines with passes that the Via Flaminia and successor roads follow, makes a sharp turn at Foligno to flow NW for a few kilometres before joining the Chiascio below Bettona. The third river is the Nera, flowing into the Tiber further south, at Terni; its valley is called the Valnerina. The upper Nera cuts ravines in the mountains; the lower in the Chiascio-Topino basin is in a fairly large floodplain.

MY HOUSE IN UMBRIA - MAGGIE SMITH
After the explosion of a train only five survivors in a wagon, a general, an English Lord, a young German named Werner, a girl named Aimée and novelist named Emily owns a house in Umbria, where invited to stay while recovered. While they take time to reflect on their lives a policeman willing to clarify the causes of an accident occurs. But when the American uncle arrives Aimée willing to take it, the group balance is altered. It seems that the house Umbria can not give happiness to all.
He was nominated for two Golden Globes for best miniseries and best actress for Maggie Smith.
SPANISH: Después de la explosión de un tren sólo quedan cinco supervivientes en un vagón, un general, un Lord inglés, un joven alemán llamado Werner, una niña llamada Aimée y una novelista llamada Emily dueña de una casa en Umbría, donde les invita a quedarse mientras se recuperan. Mientras se toman su tiempo para reflexionar sobre sus vidas aparece un policía dispuesto a aclarar las causas del accidenta. Sul piano del divertimento non sono secondi a nessuno i Funk Off, street band italianissima (Toscana) che va oltre il tradizionale concetto di marching band proponendo una musica trascinante e spettacolare, molto moderna, estremamente coinvolgente sul piano ritmico.
Sono diventati, da quando Umbria Jazz li ha presentati tra i beniamini del pubblico. Pensate a una musica in cui si affacciano echi di James Brown e Frank Zappa, fino al puro funk tipo Gorge Clinton. Il gruppo toscano, che ha esordito a Umbria Jazz nel 2003, è stato in pratica riproposto quasi tutti gli anni, anche nell’ edizione invernale a Orvieto, diventando un’ attrazione fissa del festival.
Stesso successo ha riscosso anche all’ estero, da Melbourne a New York, dove la band ha partecipato alle iniziative di Umbria Jazz. Il motivo della sua popolarità è perfino banale: è divertente e suona bene, ed il suo senso dello spettacolo riesce a rivitalizzare un genere secolare. È inoltre appena uscito il loro nuovo lavoro, dal titolo “Things Change”, per Jando Music / Via Veneto Jazz, al cui interno trova spazio la voce di Avery*Sunshine, la stella nascente della black music americana, che sarà ospite nelle loro esibizioni on stage.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Islamic State released an undated video on Saturday threatening to attack France if bombings of its fighters continue, a day after gunmen and bombers killed at least 120 people in Paris. French president François Hollande has blamed Islamic State for six separate but co-ordinated gun attacks and suicide bombings that killed 128 people and seriously wounded almost 200 in central Paris.
